Coachella

One night after Thom Yorke played a DJ set at the Ace Hotel, Radiohead played Coachella again (pictures HERE). This week's setlist was 21 songs vs. last week's 20. Order of songs aside, this week's crowd heard six different tunes. They got You And Whose Army?, Nude, Kid A, Feral, House of Cards, and Exit Music (for a film), but didn't hear Daily Mail, Myxomatosis, Identikit, Lucky, or Everything in Its Right Place. Check out the entire 4/21 setlist, below...

Thom Yorke's a fake. Not a sincere bone in that man's body.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 9:55 AM

Yawn

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 10:07 AM

Ted Nugent

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 10:12 AM

9:54 - they play Street Spirit very often. Otherwise, yes they avoid playing that stuff. The Bends is filled with actual songs with traditional structures, which is something they really don't do any more.

Two hours of noodling........yawn

And the reign of the most overrated band on Planet Earth continues

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 12:41 PM

9:55a - you gonna hit every Radiohead related post with that comment?

If only they could wear ironic Tshirts & carefully groom themselves to have that Williamsburg look like you.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 1:31 PM

How make overrated radiohead only because they do not play songs from their first albums? Radiohead haters are more stupid every day

Posted by jose | April 22, 2012 4:03 PM

As someone who was actually there I can tell you the band was phenomenal and not hearing all of king of limbs was basically Christmas. Check a video of You and Whose Army and drown in your righteous jealousy.

BV are full of 20 somethings with the fucking taste of old farts. Yawn you fucks.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 4:43 PM

I'd rather watch Steven Seagal's cute little ponytail.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 7:03 PM

They're never going to play Let Down ever again. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 8:07 PM

boring.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 8:23 PM

Radiozzzzzz...

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 9:27 PM

Radiohead is the best and most important band of the last 30 years .. haters going to hate :D

Posted by RAZECHA | April 22, 2012 10:02 PM

That's a bold statement, 10:02. They're a great band, but let's not get crazy now.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 10:52 PM

Watching paint dry > Radiohead

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 11:13 PM

Just gonna throw this out there--Radiohead--not even a good name for a high school band.

Posted by Anonymous | April 22, 2012 11:53 PM

you 12 year olds are boring with all your boring comments. boring.

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 12:15 AM

the bends is their best album

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 1:03 AM

No Creep? WTF?

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 9:43 AM

^Yeah that is weird being that it is 1993 and all.

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 9:57 AM

I know it's not cool to say it, but it's a shame that Radiohead has abandoned traditional songwriting. They had a good pop sensibility (which was especially evident on The Bends).

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 11:01 AM

yeah. there's not a SINGLE verse chorus verse in any radiohead song since 1993.

oh wait.

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 11:06 AM

King of Limbs is their best. Most fans agree.

"I know it's not cool to say it, but it's a shame that Radiohead has abandoned traditional songwriting. They had a good pop sensibility (which was especially evident on The Bends)."

it's a shame you have the mentality of my parents

Thoms hair albiet is Circa 1993 MTV beach house! I love that performance of Anyone Can Play Guitaaaaaaaaaar!

Irrelevant

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 11:25 AM

I paid 4x face to see Friends (Brooklyn band)

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 11:29 AM

11:11 - I bet your parents have better taste in music than you.

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 11:33 AM

"I bet your parents have better taste in music than you."

if you consider the Eagles good taste, then yes!

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 11:44 AM

The Eagles... well-crafted, well-written songs, great harmonies + Joe Walsh's guitar playing. Yes, they do have good taste, as long as they like anything up to "The Long Run". Now the Eagles are a cashcow, but in their prime, they were a great band.

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 12:11 PM

confirmed - your parents rock.

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 12:14 PM

Eagles well crafted maybe but ultimately soulless pop music.

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 12:39 PM

If I could play guitar half as well as Joe Walsh, or if my band could sing harmonies half as good as the Eagles, I'd be pretty lucky.

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 1:43 PM

I walked the fuck out during Radiohead at Coachella. Went back to hotel and enjoyed sex. Great night

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 2:52 PM

radiohead is the only band at Coachella not just providing numbing rage music for fans who want to "feel" something. A show completely drenched in theory, radiohead has something to say and said it. thom york literally finished the show with , "Fuck you America" for a reason. the ragers have won, theory is dead.

enjoy your cocacola. comfort has killed you.

lol

jk

lol

smh

@143

You'd be lucky I suppose but if your song writing was on par w the Eagles your band would still suck.

Posted by Anonymous | April 23, 2012 8:44 PM

Too much new electronic stuff. Do we really need to see anything from Amnesiac?

Posted by Anonymous | April 24, 2012 2:52 AM

For those of you interested in Coachella, then you must check out the link onSmashwords.it is a link to an unofficial guide book that they're selling . http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/151795. I hope I could make it to the festival this year.
Thanks,

Yeah, 8:44. Hotel California, Desperado, and I Can't Tell You Why, are horribly written songs. Bunch of hacks.

Posted by Anonymous | April 24, 2012 1:27 PM

i've seen readiohead live and i'm not surprised people seem bored of them. one of the few awesome bands that i consider to be better recorded than live.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2012 10:07 PM

10:52. Name a better or more influential band that formed in the last 30 years. All the legendary rocks acts formed in the 60s and 70s. Who you gonna name? U2?

^jacuzzzi boyz

i saw the show and loved it...but if others don't that's totally fine...plenty of music out there and to each his own...but what i do find interesting is that so many people bothered to click on the article above, and then comment about how much they hate radiohead. personally, if i didn't like a band, i sure as hell wouldn't waste my time clicking on an article about them!!!

Certainly I like your web-site, however you need to check the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very troublesome to tell you. However I

Just a thought, maybe you should think about adding a few pictures. I dont mean to disrespect to what you've said; its very interesting, indeed. Good work, but put some more graphics next time.

Radiohead boring? What the fuck kind of granola are you smoking? I'm sure you'd rather see matt bellamy wailing to dubstep and abusing fuzz pedals while he raises his fist and fireworks shoot out his ass. It's a fucking fact, people don't appreciate true art, music done with feeling and no regard for what 'Merica Joe and Mary want to listen to. "God" forbid the song lasts more than 4 minutes! Oh, it includes minimal vocals and no catchy autotune? Boring!
Fucking fuck.
