Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 12:46 PM

Not this terrible whining, whale screaming, euro-trash shit again. I thought these guys died in a plane crash.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 12:51 PM

This could possibly be a contender for one of the shows of the summer if not the year.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 12:52 PM

It will be easy to get tickets. Prospect park NEVER sells out in under 2 minutes (due to size; it holds 7,000 people). You'll be fine as long as you're on TM when you're supposed to be.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 12:53 PM

^Thats the plan

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 12:57 PM

WTF is with the 6pm start time..is that doors? Opener? My guess SR on at 8???

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:03 PM

of course someone is going to complain about this...of course.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:04 PM

You're a real dick, 12:51. Try saying that to their faces rather than behind the veil of web anonymity. I'll be even Jonsi could kick your ass IRL.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:06 PM

1:04 not a complaint really but some people have jobs...

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:07 PM

FUCK YES! Bring the horns and Aniima again, Jonsi!

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:09 PM

Agreed. These outdoor things always start too early. Blame the NIMBY neighbors, not the bands, promoters or venues.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:09 PM

oh fuck yes

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:14 PM

I'm already upset about not getting tickets to this

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:27 PM

I like hobbits

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:28 PM

this is gonna be tits
remember even if you dont get tickets prospect park shows can be heard from just outside the venue pretty well
gonna rock pretty excited

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:30 PM

as someone who has gone to so many of these shows and grew up in the neighborhood, if you don't get a ticket inside, you can hear quite well outside the surrounding fence - that's the beauty of the shows in this park - gonna be good no matter what

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:33 PM

^yeah?? Not a shitfest outside the fence? I know it is hard to hear anything outside of central park these days as they turned the volumne down bigtime.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:35 PM

Well they put up black tarps for the most part
I didnt get tickets to Bon Iver and didnt want to pay full price, listened from right outside off to the right, lots of people are there set up with blankets and lawn chairs
the sound is good espicially if you can't get tickets

and SR is gonna be loud and boisterous so even if your outside it'll still sound ok

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:39 PM

gonna bring my pit bull around outside the fence and terrorize you hipster fucks ha ha

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:42 PM

Jonsi more yorkie kind man

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 1:58 PM

my pit bull likes sigur ros. when jonsi sings, skippy tilts his head to the left and looks intently at the source

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 2:08 PM

This show is going to be like a support group for all the whiny bitches who didn't get Kraftwerk tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 2:17 PM

1:47: I'd have prob paid twice the amount for the AC ticket just to see that pit bull bite some trendies on the way out.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 2:24 PM

^ i heard that 2:24. i don't feed him for 2 days and give him a little smack on his ass and he's snarling and snapping enough to make Holden or Josh shit their locally sourced denim overalls

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2012 12:22 AM

4 years their last tour dates, and all of which time I have been eagerly awaiting to finally hear "Inní Mér Syngur Vitleysingur" in its beautiful and live form.

Posted by Matt | April 13, 2012 1:34 AM

Wish they would play more () in their live shows....they usually only play Popaglid these days

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2012 8:57 AM

This may just help to make up for no Sonic Youth show this summer.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2012 9:27 AM

^as of now. i bet one will be announced. new williamsburg venue. lots of goodbyes.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2012 9:34 AM

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 11:50 AM

What's the capacity of Prospect Park Bandshell? 5000?

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 1:37 PM

prospect park capacity is more like 8K

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 1:41 PM

8000? No way. It's not bigger than Summerstage (which is 5,500).

Posted by Anonymous | April 16, 2012 1:55 PM

"The Prospect Park Bandshell is not only the Park’s main attraction for live outdoor entertainment, but one of New York City’s most exciting venues. With its three-story high acoustic shell, raised stage, and large circular plaza, the Bandshell features food and beer/wine concessions, public restrooms, and first-come, first-served seating in the 2000-seat plaza or 5000-capacity lawn. In addition to hosting musical performances, the Bandshell is one of the largest outdoor cinemas in the world, with a 21 foot high and 50 foot wide movie screen."

What is the BRIC password?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 8:28 AM

BRIC passwords are emailed out on an individual basis. This may be an insta-sellout, even with AMEX.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 8:52 AM

Ok guess we haev to try our luck on Friday

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 8:54 AM

I just want to be the first to say that i got 4 and if you want any you can email me at 4xface@gmail.com

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 8:57 AM

i'm already nervous

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 9:35 AM

They keep changing these presales on me. AMEX on Thursday now? This is gonna be a tough motherfucking ticket.

This is gonna be terrible : (

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 10:41 AM

Confirmation that BRIC presale codes are sent on an individual basis? Anyone?

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 10:43 AM

It's a paid membership why would it be a universal password? That would defeat the purpose of the paying part.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 10:45 AM

@1045 wouldn't be the first time

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 10:54 AM

Ponied up the $50, worth it to avoid the anxiety of Friday's inevitable ticket mess.

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 10:56 AM

Just got the presale passwords for M.Ward and Sigur Ros.

Definitely universal.

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 11:04 AM

1104 wanna help a brudda?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:07 AM

^ Would you care to share that universal password? Thanks in advance.

Posted by Big Time Fangirl | April 18, 2012 11:07 AM

Oopsk, we will love you forever.

Posted by SR Fanatic | April 18, 2012 11:11 AM

can you just email me the password to sigurros@yopmail.com if you don't want to post it here?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:12 AM

I call bullshit on the "password" report.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:13 AM

Not bullshit. And guys, it set me back $50. If I hadn't paid for it, I would have gladly shared it.

I recommend membership anyway - the slate of concerts are impressive and the perks are commensurate with what you're paying.

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 11:15 AM

yea he's full of it

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:17 AM

Just looked it up. Nowhere does it say you can join and get a password. Link me or lie...

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:20 AM

I appreciate you trying to goad me into revealing the password. As soon as I secure tickets, I'll happily post the password.

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 11:21 AM

Look at the first option for $50.

"Pre-sale ticket info for benefit concerts"

This is a benefit concert.

I emailed with Angela Thurston after making payment via PayPal -athurston@bricartsmedia.org

I'm just trying to help fellow Sigur Ros fans out.

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 11:27 AM

please post after you have gotten tickets, as you offered. i'm dying to get tix but kind of hurting for $$ now, can't afford buying a membership.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:29 AM

me and 1129 are in the same boat, i can't afford to drop $50 on the membership. please post the second you secure tickets so we get a chance! (i.e. the second you add tickets to the cart, if possible, otherwise we probably won't get a shot at all).

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:30 AM

Hipsters hurting for $$ now .... NOW I've heard everything.

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 11:30 AM

Okay Oopsk, that last comment really makes me skeptical about you and your password.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:31 AM

Look people, think about it like dinner for a few days. Have a tuna sandwich for the rest of the week, and the $50 is there. Anyone can find $50 if it is important enough.

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 11:32 AM

I swear, Oopsk, if you post that password after I just dropped $75 for a membership I'm gonna find you and make you chum for the red tail hawks.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:33 AM

Now multiple people posting as Oopsk.

(original Oopsk)

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 11:34 AM

99% Sure it is going to be sold out going into tomorrow. Wonderful.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:56 AM

^ they charge $3 for concerts, so they will not see another tops $30 per year from you? I'm sure they are crying already. Gonna be a great show, I'm sure there will be lots of pictures for you to pretend not to pine over.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:59 AM

Worst case scenario, we all end up on the lawn across and listen to the show while we drink cheap wine and look up at the sky.

At least we have that, yall

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:00 PM

Alrighty how about the passowrd now...pretty please?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:08 PM

I think 11:56 is the one on the rag

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:08 PM

I hope Oopsk feels really cool right now. Why do people do stuff like that?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:08 PM

Now that it is "sold out" share the password so I can see for myself

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:09 PM

"BROOKLYN!"

You need the excl point

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:11 PM

I'm not gonna sweat this anymore. There will be plenty of tix available through Amex and likely the General Public sale Friday as well. Just get online at noon and all will be well, it is a big venue after all.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:12 PM

real password anyone?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:13 PM

^famous last words

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:13 PM

If you are really worried, if you join Celebrate Brooklyn for the $50, I think they will assure you a presale ticket. (Not totally sure now since it is after the presale started.) Last year I was a member and I got shut out of the presale, and I was told I would get in if I didn't get a ticket in the general sale. I'm not a member this year.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:13 PM

Just pulled 8 tickets. Totally gonna make up for missing the Radiohead sale bullshit. And pay my rent for the summer. Whoohoo!

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:14 PM

I bought a Celebrate Brooklyn membership at 11:30 this AM, and I can report that I received the pre-sale code in time to get tickets.

If you can't do that, you are either too cheap or too stupid. Either way, you don't deserve to get into the show.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:15 PM

^Or don't feel it is necessary to waste $50

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:16 PM

no need to be a dick, if you had 100 bucks to drop on one ticket you couldve bought one from stub hub and left a regular priced one for someone who needs to pay that price to afford it on a budget.....dick

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:17 PM

really though, why wouldn't you post the password after you've already gotten tickets? are you some kind of asshole?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:17 PM

Password please! :(

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:18 PM

Exactly. When tickets will be easy to come by in the general sale on Friday as long as you get in around noon.

So shut the fuck up 12:15

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:18 PM

this thread/these comments/this presale will be taught for decades in marketing classes around the globe. good one celebrate brooklyn.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:18 PM

Dude, $50 is not a waste when they rely upon donations to make the whole concert series work (which is why they are even hosting SR here anyway). The whole summer of concerts, and you get to cut the line and sit up front, and it costs you basically $20 over what it would cost you to attend those shows anyway? AND you get the presale info? No brainer.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:18 PM

think theyre better then everyone else for being the idiots to get suckered into paying double face

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:18 PM

12:15 - your mother is a faggot.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:18 PM

12:18 = white trash

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:19 PM

Easy on the hostility guys.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:19 PM

So, call me a dick and then ask for the password?

Fuck you, you child. You have a lot to learn about how this world works.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:19 PM

whoever has the most money wins apparently

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:20 PM

12:19 doesn't understand economics.

We will pay $50 less, so I hope your sense of entitlement is worth double price.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:20 PM

I think Celebrate Brooklyn is great, but let's be clear - it's a lot more than $20 extra to get everything 12:18 is talking about.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:21 PM

Anyone wanna trade 2 Sigur Ros tickets for 2 M.Ward/Yo La Tengo tickets?

email: robo_chic AT yahoo

Posted by Jonesin' | April 18, 2012 12:21 PM

Is it sold out for today? Can someone email me the password?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:21 PM

This thread is so frustrating. 12:19 - I don't agree with 12:18, but calling people trash is not cool...

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:21 PM

12:15 I could care less if you give out the pw. I shall get tickets easily in the general sale and I will laugh at you schmuck

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:22 PM

I laugh at all the hipster "faux-fans" who expect the world to cater to them. "Give me the password, you dick". No. How about "no". Does that work for you, hipster? I'm not your mommy or your daddy. Here in reality, we have to work to get the things we want. You want something for nothing. You get nothing.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:22 PM

@1219 you're a dick because you said you'd give everyone the password, acted like you were cool about it, and then just gave a string of fake passwords followed by nothing. that's why you're a dick. at this point we only want you to give us the password so you can shed whatever dickskin you have left and prove you actually had a universal password on the first place, rather than coming on here with your sad act and trolling three die-hard sigur ros fans. pathetic.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:24 PM

"We will pay $50 less, so I hope your sense of entitlement is worth double price"

What does that even mean? Are you retarded, or just plain old garden variety stupid?

You don't need to answer - just a kind of "fuck you" to your ignorance.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:24 PM

I am surprised you people are Sigur Ros fans (12:22), 12:19

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:25 PM

robochic, M. ward/yo la tengo will be even easier to get than sigur ros. No one is gonna trade that. You will be able to pick up tix for that one week of/day of for less than face

Do any of you idiots actually know about Prospect Park shows and how they go. They almost never actually s ell out and the ones that do, you can always find tickets for at least face close to the show

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:25 PM

that quote was pretty clear so its kind of funny that you dont get it

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:25 PM

"12:15 - your mother is a faggot."

I second this notion.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:26 PM

12:24 - I never said that I was going to give anyone anything. Show me where I claimed such a thing? I am not OOpsk or whatever the fuck his name was. I'm just a guy who figured that I wanted something enough to do what I needed to do to get it, without hurting anyone. You on the other hand are a douche with an ENORMOUS sense of entitlement that expected the world to come to you. You get nothing.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:26 PM

I paid for a membership after the presale started, and got the code sent to me via email. But the damn thing is sold out. Don't waste your money on a membership.

Posted by lp | April 18, 2012 12:27 PM

I like how a bunch of scummy white people are throwing around the word "faggot." What a bunch of sick, boring fucks.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:27 PM

How is it that the guy who paid for the membership has a sense of entitlement? That assertion sounds like sour grapes to me.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:28 PM

For those of you who think it will be so easy to score a ticket during the AMEX presale or the general onsale, why are you even wasting your time with the BRIC presale/this board?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:28 PM

Just pulled another 4. Check Craig's List bitches!

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:29 PM

Ok so it is sold out..tell me the password then I can get the sold out screen. Then I will know you are not lying.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:30 PM

And the pot gets stirred.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:31 PM

@12:20
Dude, chill out. If you pay the membership fees, you are entitled to the presale code. It's stated on the CB page.

If you expect the code for doing nothing, that sounds a lot more like a since of entitlement, according to Webster at least.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:32 PM

12:30 - pls explain

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:33 PM

You people all act like it's your first time on this site. If you're not new here, BV features: closet fans bashing every group, lying trolls saying they're selling tickets, hummus jokes, basketball player jokes. Get real, try your luck tomorrow and friday.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:33 PM

The presale is not sold out yet. I cannot give out the password sorry but i just checked and it is not sold out

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:34 PM

eat a bagga dicks

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:34 PM

cum cum cum cum cum cum cum cum cum cum cum cum
Thats the passoword with spaces.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:37 PM

Briclove was the password
It is sold out now

Posted by anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:37 PM

Nope, eat a bagga dicks isn't it either.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:38 PM

12:33 if the show is sold out on the bric presale then there is no harm in giving out the password. If you now give me the password I will type it in to tm to see that it is sold out..a correct password would at least get me to the sold out screen.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:38 PM

12:37 thanks!

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:40 PM

briclove

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 12:40 PM

Yep it is Sold Out :/.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:40 PM

12:37 - thanks, sweet prince.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:41 PM

12:37 is the worst person.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:41 PM

Actually I didn't get tickets either (too late) but $50 to shut this board up was worth it - so, I would withhold judgment when you dont have facts

Posted by 12:37 | April 18, 2012 12:42 PM

briclove was the password
and yes
sold out

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:43 PM

stubhub it is. I'm not going through this mess tomorrow and Friday.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:43 PM

^You are an idiot. They sold very few tickets on both presales. The majority will be Friday. This will not be a mess at all.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:55 PM

"Do any of you idiots actually know about Prospect Park shows and how they go. They almost never actually s ell out and the ones that do, you can always find tickets for at least face close to the show"

Not the first Manu Chao show there. There were people looking for tickets even on 7th Ave since no one was selling in front. I listed a ticket on Craigslist and got over 100 emails.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:58 PM

This will still be a mess...they sold out two shows at United Palace qickly in 2008..they haven't been here in 4 years..will sell quick..I still wouldn't resort to Stubhub unless I was very desperate though

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:58 PM

12:58 Passion Pit sold out Prospect Park quickly..Sigur Ros will do it even faster!

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 12:59 PM

Just because a show is sold out doesn't mean you can't get a ticket. Every SR show in NYC has sold out, but it is always easy to find a ticket. I couldn't give away a ticket to their first Beacon show. I got a free ticket to their MSG show.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:06 PM

And you could get Passion Pit tickets for less than face easy the day of the show. People were literally giving away tickets. Please do not make comments if you have no idea what you are talking about

Yes of course the show will se ll out. It won't be a mess though. As many have said, as long as you are on Friday at noon you should have no problem

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:07 PM

1:06 knows what he is talking about. And Prospect Park sellouts are even easier to get tickets to.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:10 PM

Just got 2 on the presale randomly.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:12 PM

just now?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:14 PM

1:06 - It wasn't easy to get tickets to the ballroom show or the moma show a few years ago.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:16 PM

yup @ around 1:08

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:16 PM

not pulling anything maybe it was a uncharged CC

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:23 PM

ticketmaster should start limiting people to 2 tickets

shit is getting ridiculous in New York!

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:24 PM

some real class acts in this comments thread. love the BRIC members posting about self-entitlement while simultaneously trolling Sigur Ros fans for passwords, that's precious.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:26 PM

these are gonna be easy to get on Friday.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:30 PM

^at 12:00 maybe...12:02 not so much

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 1:31 PM

You guys...

http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2008/06/sigur_ros_ticke_1.html#comments

Remember when tickets when on sale for the United Palace. They didn't go instantly. Neither will this. Stop freaking out.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:00 PM

we're not freaking out about tickets. we're upset at how people are acting in this comments thread. bunch of pompous asses talking about how people don't deserve tickets if you don't buy a BRIC membership. sad, really.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:07 PM

2:07

just mad cause he didnt get the p/w

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:11 PM

2:07,

Why do you care? Just buy one on Friday or go to the box office and save on the fees.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:14 PM

lol hipsters are also douchebags apparently after looking at this board.

Posted by Steve | April 18, 2012 2:24 PM

@211 @214 not about the tickets, about human decency. i know i'l 100% be able to get in the general onsale - it's fucking prospect park. holds like 7000 people, gimme a break.

just don't come on here holding the password above the heads of commenters who don't want to buy a $50 membership that they'll never use. or saying people don't deserve to see a band they love because they don't/can't spend that money on a membership. it's depressing to think about what drives those people to do those things. they must be really sad if they gain satisfaction through those means.

do you have nothing better to do with your time than waste ours by leading us on?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:24 PM

such a bunch of fucking whiny bitch babies. unbelievable. i really want to go to this show. i failed on the band's presale on monday. i did not buy a bric membership and have the password today. i'll try tomorrow, and then if still necessary, again on friday. if i still don't have a ticket, perhaps i'll score on cl or elsewhere. maybe i'll just end up listening outside the barrier.

whatever the case, i am not entitled to a ticket until i pay for one, and no one owes me anything. please just stfu, the lot of you.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:25 PM

sad to think that there are sigur ros fans who call other sigur ros fans 'fucking whiny bitch babies.' i was hoping that was just the trolling frat boys talking. geeze.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:30 PM

"BRIC members posting about self-entitlement while simultaneously trolling Sigur Ros fans for passwords"

What does this even mean? Do you have a comment that you can point to? Can you prove that they are BRIC members and/or are trolling for passwords? No, of course you can't. You are one of the idiots that needs to just shut the fuck up, sit in the corner, eat a sandwich and stay silent until you learn how to act like a human being.

Now, go.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:30 PM

I am 100% certain that 90% of the comments in this thread is from one sour puss and one know it all. Most of the thread is static.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:32 PM

Philly presale password??

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:34 PM

@230 read any of the following comments if you wanna see troll action, the majority of which was done by the guy claiming to have a BRIC membership:

1121, 1127 1205, 1211, 1214, 1215, 1222, 1226, 1237

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:38 PM

biggest douche goes to @1226

"12:24 - I never said that I was going to give anyone anything. You get nothing."

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:41 PM

If you think you deserve tickets now, just go to stubhub. There are tons already on it.

BRIC members paid more to get their tickets early, you can too!

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:41 PM

"sad to think that there are sigur ros fans who call other sigur ros fans 'fucking whiny bitch babies.' i was hoping that was just the trolling frat boys talking. geeze."

What they said.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:42 PM

we can laugh tmrw/friday when we all pay $50 less for tickets, don't worry guyz.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:46 PM

can't way to "accidentally" spill my beer over all you idiots this summer.

cheers

Posted by anonymous | April 18, 2012 2:49 PM

^ can't wait to impale you with the shards of steel (formerly the strap clips from your man-purse) this summer

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:07 PM

why would anyone pay the $50 today just to get the presale info
unbelievably stupid
im excited for this show but i hope they leave out most of the new album
its probably their worst record yet

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:10 PM

Same crazy ass pussy conspiracy theories about a single person making a series of posts. Prolly the same unstable shut-in making the claims here that does it in every other thread that doesn't go the way he wants, amirite.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:10 PM

2:24 - what, only half a cup today Jim?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:12 PM

"why would anyone pay the $50 today just to get the presale info"

An idiot would pay $50 just to get presale info. Believe it or not, there may be other motivations behind becoming a member.

IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:15 PM

$50 for the presale password, spread over the 4 tix for friends/myself is well worth it to avoid the pains of the amex and general sales

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 3:16 PM

what time do tickets go on sale on friday?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:17 PM

pains?
yeah ill probably have trouble tomorrow with the LiveNation app to pull tickets to this huge outdoor venue

pretty worried about the ensuing "pains"

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:17 PM

I didn't get a ticket, so I'm going to take it out on everyone else commenting, criticize the new album, kick the cat, and generally be a douche bag.

How old are we now? 9?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:17 PM

i mean its just a fact that the new album isnt as good as their other ones
that has nothing to do with getting tickets or not
its just a fact

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:19 PM

3:17 - if it's not a big deal to you, why are you continuing to pollute the air with your whiny baby bitching and such? Just go and do what you say, and STFU already. Fucking hipster piece of shit already ....

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:20 PM

3:10 and you must be that same delusional fool who is in every thread claiming that only one person makes comments for or against. You are just as much of an idiot and troll as the rest

Yes i am right.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:21 PM

Yeah oopsk, there will be no pains for the smart people who waited. You obviously know very little about ticket getting in this city.
Ultimately it will be you who loses and paid more than most people. Enjoy your little temporary win. I hope people mock the shit out of you Friday afternoon. Will be fun to watch

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:24 PM

Posted and sold 2 on Stub.

Posted by Oopsk | April 18, 2012 3:28 PM

"you must be that same delusional fool who is in every thread claiming that only one person makes comments for or against."

Did you even read what the word said, pussy? I guess I was right.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:33 PM

"Posted and sold 2 on Stub."

Sure you did troll

Dude-eo, you don't have a life and you need to get one. Really. REALLY!

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:46 PM

i like the new album. the leak is shit sound quality. but its still real pretty.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:48 PM

Oopsk inspired me to buy a membership today. I am now looking forward to not just a summer full of no lines, good reserved seats, and in-concert seat-side beverage service, but also the satisfaction of knowing that I helped to underwrite the arts in Brooklyn. Thanks Oopsk!

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:51 PM

351 is oopsk

does a membership actually give you reserved seating/no lines?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 3:56 PM

I am 3:51, and I am not Oopsk.

There are several levels of membership, and the $50 one lets you cut lines and the $75 one gives you access to the front reserved seating area. I've had to deal with the crowds for many seasons now, and I'm happy to donate so that I can get a little less stress in my life. Check it out ~ http://www.bricartsmedia.org/performing-arts/celebrate-brooklyn/become-a-friend/individual-memberships

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 4:05 PM

Laughing hysterically at 3:51. You tool. Way to justify this to yourself

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 4:06 PM

yea the $75 membership gets you a single seat so you can enjoy the show completely by yourself.

$150 gets you 2 reserved seats, $400 gets you 4 seats, $600 gets you six seats. seat-side beverage service doesn't exist, that's made up. you can cut the line.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 4:27 PM

methinks there are a lot of folks on here who go to shows alone, at least the whiny ones who keep coming back to defend their comments

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 4:31 PM

Well, at least the people who go to shows by themselves tend to keep their fucking mouths shut. Although sometimes they are more likely to text during shows.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 5:32 PM

Password for Philly presale tomorrow?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 6:57 PM

remember when everyone was flipping out over Pulps tickets?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 7:26 PM

pulp sucks. i remember when bon iver played prospect park bandshell and tix were 200 or above on stubhub. that was last summer, identical situation. it sucked. i'm gonna grab my tix for this one.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 7:58 PM

7:58,

Nice try troll. Tickets were available for Bon Iver DAYS after they went on sale.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 8:14 PM

814 did i ever say that they weren't?

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 8:17 PM

"yea the $75 membership gets you a single seat so you can enjoy the show completely by yourself."

But not for ticketed concerts.

Free shows have seats.
Paid ones do not.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 8:35 PM

wow this was the best chain ever - way to keep someone entertained. looking forward to purchasing tickets at noon on Friday and experience sigur ros with all you crazy peeps. cheers.

Posted by Anonymous | April 18, 2012 11:00 PM

Any thread about Sigur and commentors calling other commentors trolls gets the +1 from me.

I don't care what people say, the last time I saw them, they blew me away.

Posted by Words With Friends Cheat | April 19, 2012 12:40 AM

"$50 for the presale password, spread over the 4 tix for friends/myself is well worth it to avoid the pains of the amex and general sales"

Pains? There never is an issue with general admission shows. I understand trying to get the best seats for a seated show, but a GA one? Their will be plenty of tickets the day of.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 1:47 AM

PHILLY PRESALE CODE: PARK

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 10:19 AM

thank you for pw!!

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 10:33 AM

Some really misinformed, sour grape motherfuckers on this thread.

If you don't want to buy a membership to get the code, then don't. But, don't bitch about how you got ripped off by not having the presale code, or dump on the person that bought the membership. Don't be a hater.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 10:43 AM

AmEx not up yet.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:06 PM

Yeah sold out...hot ticket indeed..

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:06 PM

Got one ticket. I don't think it's going to be a problem tomorrow for the general sale, but the way everything has been selling out, who knows.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:07 PM

Releasing 4 right now.

Posted by Oopsk | April 19, 2012 12:07 PM

strange thing is that usually there is a password (phone number on back of amex card) but there was no password this time

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:09 PM

I just pulled 4 for amex at 12:08, not sold out

this is fucking ridiculous, goddammnit

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:11 PM

i pay over $400 a year for a freakin' amex platinum card...the least they could do is provide access to more than a handful of tix -- this amex presale is total b.s.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:12 PM

Amex Blue is the way to go!

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:13 PM

i am so fucking pissed, i better get tix tomorrow. FUUUUCKKK!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:14 PM

i think you're right

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:14 PM

i need to listen to () right now so i don't go out and kill someone. amex presales have become such a goddamn joke.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:16 PM

Stupid live nation app didnt have the amex presale

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:17 PM

Did folks who get shut out not try at exactly noon? Just trying to figure out if there just weren't that many tix allocated to AMEX.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:18 PM

Told y'all.

Posted by Oopsk | April 19, 2012 12:19 PM

i was on that fucker at noon with the live nation app and my computer and got zilch. i'm really hoping the glut of the tix were held back for the public onsale tmrw :(

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:23 PM

Same here - repetitive logins from noon to 12:20, now back to real life.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:25 PM

Told y'all what, that it would be easy or hard?

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:25 PM

^You are a lying troll. Amex Presale option was not added to Live nation app until about 10 minutes ago. They did not have it right away when tix went on sale

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:26 PM

I always find the old tm webpage is the best...the app is fickle at best

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:29 PM

the ln app is totally unreliable, i've officially decided that now. fool me once...

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:31 PM

App is terrible... also, the App code (when there is a unique one) usually works on the main page anyways

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:33 PM

Got 4 yesterday and 4 today. You guys need to hit that refresh button on the TM page. I know you know how to do it with BV.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:35 PM

Actually the app is great. I have gotten tickets to everything with it. Fiona Apple in the presale, The Weeknd etc. This is the only time it was fucked cause they did not add the Amex presale till way after 12

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:36 PM

okay I'm giving up. was on exactly at noon and no luck. There's always tomorrow...or else I'll just sit outside.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:41 PM

I used the TM app for Jack White at Webster Hall and it crashed in the middle of checkout - I was certain I was out of luck. But the app had submitted the pending charge prior to crashing and TM confirmed that I have tix. So maybe they're not THAT terrible. Just 99% or so.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 12:41 PM

Got tix around 12:10pm on the TM page. Kept refreshing for 10 min after it originally said no tickets were available. I hope you guys don't just give up after you see the sold out page one time. You should try refreshing for at least an hour or so after the on sale time. You should even try later tonight too. Some might be re-released. It's pretty likely. You can try on the phone too.

I will probably be putting my extras up in CL when they arrive by mail. I'm not a dick, and will not gouge you if you mention the magic word "Fucktard" when responding to my ad. If you meet me to pick up the tickets and you look like a hipster, though, I will walk away and pretend we never talked. I am beneficent and wish all true fans to attend, in as far as I can help them.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 1:59 PM

I'm silly, SILLY. They call me rubberneck.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 2:26 PM

I rather pay $45 a ticket and not sweat it 2:00...I think it sells out in 5 minutes tomorrow. Sure some tickets will be available outside..some maybe even under face but I rather purchase them and forget about it...my time is worth something too..

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 2:42 PM

^ you're going to pay closer to $50 a piece after fees

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 2:46 PM

are you telling me when you get the sold out page, you can just hit refresh and tm looks for tickets again?

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 2:50 PM

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 2:51 PM

2:46 I already got 3 tickets on the amex presale came out to $147 so If you want to be technical I paid $49.

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 2:56 PM

2:56 it was $48.975, technically

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 3:00 PM

For four tickets...mine was three thus $49.18 a ticket..but who is counting...

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 3:06 PM

@250 - no, they are screwing with you - obviously you need to go back to the first page and start all over

Posted by Anonymous | April 19, 2012 3:14 PM

Tickets are currently not available online for one of the following reasons. Please check back for availability.

Tickets may not be on sale yet
Tickets may not be available at this time. More tickets may become available later
Tickets may not be available online just hours before an event occurs
On rare occasions, tickets may only be available at ticket outlets or the box office

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 11:25 AM

^Dude they fucked up again and changed the Brooklyn presale from noon to 10am. You missed it. Show is sold the fuck out

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 11:33 AM

This must be 11:25's first time buying tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 11:41 AM

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:02 PM

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:16 PM

Oopsk, you told us nothing. Check the other thread. Just about everyone who was on at noon got tickets. Yes it sold out but it was not hard to grab some. Oh and for less than you paid

SO SUCK MY DICK BITCH

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:17 PM

It wasn't even available to buy at noon. Fucking lame.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:18 PM

@12:17, I was on at noon. No such luck.

Fuck.

:(

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:19 PM

you guys really thought that was difficult? dang.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:23 PM

stubhub is your friend

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:23 PM

If you could not get tickets at noon or did not keep refreshing till you got in then you are almost as big of a dunce as OOPSK. It really was not hard to get tickets to this today

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:24 PM

yea Oopsk: i got 4 in amex presale, 4 in regular onsale. spent 49 dollars per ticket. i hope BRIC is enjoying your membership dollars.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:24 PM

got a pair...on stubhub, balls

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:25 PM

Be careful people, i suspect a few of these "I could not get tickets" people are lying trolls trying to fuck with you. Or these amateur scalpers trying to drive people to SH or Cl. No one i know who tried to get tickets today, including people who don't really get tickets to lots of stuff, got shut out.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:26 PM

it was easy. really, it was. if you didn't get them, i'm sorry, but maybe take some speed-typing classes or R5 refresher courses. it wasn't hard.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:30 PM

@12:26

I wish. It really just wouldn't give me an option to search until after 12, though, so I think that might be why I missed out.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:30 PM

@12:24 - hope you used a different account for each purchase given the 4 ticket limit

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:39 PM

HOw prole do you have to be to taunt someone for spending an extra 50 dollars.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:53 PM

12:39 - you should actually hope he didn't use different accounts.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:57 PM

Think it might have been luck of the draw at noon. Ticketmaster was all funky due to the Springsteen on sales this morning.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 1:25 PM

1239 of course i did, this ain't amateur hour.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 1:34 PM

seriously $120 a ticket on stub before all their fees. looks like i'll be sitting on the outside.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:10 PM

I don't get it. I checked in ticketmastet at 11:30 am and it said tickets were not still available. However, at 12:01 pm I got the oportunity to buy them, but then there was the message: "Sorry, no exact matches were found, but other tickets may still be available on Ticketmaster.com."

Is it now really sold out? Honestly, I don't believe most of the comments.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:10 PM

hahahahahahahahahaha, oh man.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:11 PM

If you got tickets, good for you. From what I read it should be the band proper plus Aniima plus the horns. Like Manhattan Center/MoMA, not like United Palace. Shit should be a good show.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:21 PM

they better have the damn horns.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:23 PM

yeah on the site they say they're bringing an 11 piece

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:32 PM

I'm sorry but I'm not a freak/geek, I only love the Sigur Ros music. Could anyone be so kind to tell me if it is already sold out?

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 3:35 PM

" From what I read it should be the band proper plus Aniima plus the horns. Like Manhattan Center/MoMA,"

or the MSG show

Posted by Anonymous | April 21, 2012 8:43 AM
