Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 11:48 AM

Was it really that hard to get tickets during the AMEX presale? I found it rather easy.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 11:49 AM

I already know I'm going to walk out of this but I have to pretend like I care

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 11:59 AM

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:08 PM

Sold Out at 12:01.

Posted by pickles | April 20, 2012 12:08 PM

Got 4 tix at 3 minutes to 12. They sold out in 2 minutes.

Posted by Traci | April 20, 2012 12:08 PM

geeze, probably the fastest prospect park bandshell has ever sold out. although i guess 7,000 people isn't crazy when you consider that summerstage apparently holds 5,000

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:09 PM

YEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH BOYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE got 2

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:10 PM

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:11 PM

I had no problems at all getting tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:12 PM

YOU LOVE SCALPERS. SCALPERS HELP YOU GET INTO THE SHOWS THAT YOU COULDN'T GET TICKETS FOR. FREE MARKET ECONOMY FTW.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:12 PM

^^ serious attitude problem

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:15 PM

12:12 I didn't see you at OWS bud

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:17 PM

1217 probably because OWS people are idiots who don't understand how the economy/life works. higher taxes on the rich aren't gonna help settle your five mortgages. take responsibility.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:21 PM

Make sure if you got tickets today(meaning most of you) to tell OOPSK from the other thread to blow you. Laugh at him for paying double what you paid for tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:22 PM

Sold out at Mercury Lounge box office in case you were wondering. Sold about 6 tickets and then done.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:23 PM

i would never have taken the box office gamble, too slow

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:25 PM

I just have one hope, but it's probably a hollow one - that the fuckers that got 2 sets of Radiohead tickets got totally shut out of this one. That would make my heart warm.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:27 PM

1227 i have waste presale seated for thursday, floor GA for friday. i got 8 sigur ros tix. sorry breh

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:29 PM

That was really easy to get my Sigur Ros tickets. Feels good.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:31 PM

There are a million tickets to Radiohead on StubHub for barely above face dude.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:31 PM

12:23 What time did you get to Mercury and about how many people were lined up?

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:33 PM

I'll sell my eight tickets to the first people to tell me where to find good hummus above 125th street.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:36 PM

A bit of a struggle, but ultimately got one ticket :)

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:53 PM

12:36, that doesn't exist.
only option i could think of would be golan hights next to yeshiva university on 181st i think.

Posted by ME | April 20, 2012 12:55 PM

noooo! I was too late :(

Posted by Douglooose | April 20, 2012 12:55 PM

anyone want to part with 2 for NYC? :D

Posted by Douglooose | April 20, 2012 12:57 PM

got 1 ticket right at 12pm
it did say confirming order, wait less than one minute for a while

but ultimately it went through.

Posted by JG | April 20, 2012 12:57 PM

Just got two tickets. Aw yah

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 12:58 PM

Wonder if they'll add a date before Philly.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 1:05 PM

Got tickets today
had a very weird verify your credit card via VISA
had to go on the phone cause my password was messed up, released my tickets and then it was showing nothing when I went back (ie sold out) but then at around 12:15 i pulled 2 and successfully ordered
fuckin scary

also did no one get the Live Nation app to work? whats the deal with that

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 1:19 PM

Doubt it. That first week looks pretty intense

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 1:20 PM

I've got eight to part with. You interested? 150 each. Cheap. A diehard Sigur Ros fan would pay 500.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 1:34 PM

all you douches buying 8 tix a pop only to turn around and sell them all for 100+ can suck it. real big fans i see. what a waste of life

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 1:45 PM

@145 what, i can't be both a sigur ros fan and a capitalist? my affinity for sigur ros' music has nothing to do with my desire to make money or decision to purchase 8 tickets instead of 4. never the twain shall meet.

i'm gonna fan the fuck out at that show. and i'll probably spend my profits on something nice to make the show even more memorable.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 1:48 PM

1:45 I'm not going to sell them all. Just going to sell 6 of my 8. You got a problem with that?

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 1:56 PM

jeebus, i'm surprised at how much money people are willing to pay for these tickets given the venue size. i'm getting $200 per ticket offers.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 1:58 PM

death to all hipsters

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:04 PM

if anyone has 2 tickets to philly or brooklyn they're willing to sell somewhat close to face, shoot me an email at s22keys@yahoo.com

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:06 PM

"all animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others"

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:06 PM

so, what reeeeally happened, huh?

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:07 PM

@207 it was the illuminati

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:11 PM

WHAT'S WRONG? YOU DON'T WANNA PAY $130 TO SEE A GOOD BAND IN A 7,000 CAPACITY VENUE?

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:16 PM

yet you are all fine with paying $200+ to see THE BLACK KEYS at msg. shakin my hipster head.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:20 PM

Who cares how many people the Bandshell holds?

I'd rather see them play outside than in some dump like Terminal Five.

You people are so cheap and entitled.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:30 PM

Wow, I cant believe I was able to just get tickets

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:34 PM

fart

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 2:53 PM

I'll pay 100 each for 2, double your money! lol

Posted by Douglooose | April 20, 2012 2:53 PM

Just wait for the stubhub prices to go down. They always do. People are just in a flurry to get them now because they missed out.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 3:03 PM

"Just wait for the stubhub prices to go down. They always do. People are just in a flurry to get them now because they missed out."

This.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 3:05 PM

People really have no idea how economics works. HELLO NY IF YOU STOP BUYING FROM SCALPERS THEY'LL STOP BUYING YOUR TICKETS. jesus christ.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 3:10 PM

wait, was anyone NOT able to get tickets?

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 3:14 PM

i wouldn't count on prices for this to go down, honestly. phenomenal band at an outdoor venue in the summer. it'll be like bon iver @ prospect park or florence @ summerstage last summer. those ended up staying at ~$200 till day of show. sucks but it's the way it goes sometimes.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 3:19 PM

^Another troll liar. Especially for Bon Iver. There were tons of tickets available the week of the show for face or less and outside the venue people were literally begging people to buy their extra.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 3:27 PM

Go back and check the Bon Iver threads from the shows. I remember people laughing about how cheap they got tickets for.

Remember people, most of these comments above are not from legit scalpers or anyone in the know. These are simply trolls and liars trying to fuck with you. Relax and wait and i promise you will get tickets that week easy and at least for face.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 3:29 PM

@329 think about the circular logic you just used there. cmon breh.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 3:46 PM

So I went to Radiohead two nights in a row at Roseland, once with WASTE tix I was in the second row. And now, I go Sigur Ros. Suck it foolios.

Posted by RCD | April 20, 2012 4:35 PM

i said, FART

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 4:57 PM

I'm murdering people with the prices in LA. Just killin' it.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 5:00 PM

fuck you 5pm

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 5:01 PM

i saw sigur ros play at irving plaza in may 2001. beat that fuckers.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 5:05 PM

@ 505pm: I already did beat that.

Posted by RCD | April 20, 2012 5:14 PM

show is in prospect park. you can go for free and have great audio from the back.

unlimited free seats - but you wont be able to SEE the MUSIC

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 5:18 PM

I am the singer of Sigur Ros. Beat that one.

Posted by Jonsi | April 20, 2012 5:24 PM

just sold a ticket for $300

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 5:27 PM

Jonsi--you can't sing for shit.

Posted by Thom Yorke | April 20, 2012 5:34 PM

I saw Sigur Ros in front of a fucking mountain in the middle of nowhere in Iceland. Beat that 5:05.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 5:36 PM

Jonsi and Thom Yorke sang for me this morning in the shower while I jerked them off to simultaneous climax. What you got?

Posted by RCD | April 20, 2012 5:43 PM

I have Jonsi on speed dial I asked him to play this show at prospect park in the first place. Beat that!

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 6:30 PM

"i saw sigur ros play at irving plaza in may 2001. beat that fuckers."

I had tickets for the canceled Angel Oresanz show.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 6:39 PM

I had a ticket for the Angel Oresanz show, it got moved to Irving Plaza, and I got a t-shirt to prove it. Kiss my ass.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 9:04 PM

big shows always have people dumping tix. there were tons of anco tix (not from scalpers but regular peeps) on craigs list last summer for prospect park week of show. that show had been sold out for a while.

Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2012 9:19 PM

Anyone pick up the RSD release?

Posted by Anonymous | April 21, 2012 11:02 AM

prices aren't going down...

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2012 9:26 AM

^I don't think they will unless they announce a second leg in NYC. First show in 4 years in NYC will hold above face even day of.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2012 9:46 AM

yea i was just commenting on earlier people who are saying to wait until closer to the show. i think that'll end up leading to even higher prices

if you can pick one up for 100 bucks that seems like a deal at the moment

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2012 10:11 AM

100 bucks is def. a deal for these tickets. good luck finding one at that price, meh. they'll stay at ~150 until the day of the show, at which point they'll either spike up or drop down depending on whether or not people are trying to get rid of tickets, the weather, other concerts, etc.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2012 10:29 AM

i sold a pair for 250 last week

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2012 12:38 PM

^You probably are lying and of course prices will go down come closer to the show. They are not gonna spike up. There will be plenty of tickets around as with every Prospect Park sold out show. You would be a dunce to buy scalper tickets now.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2012 12:56 PM

if you can pick one up for 100 bucks that seems like a deal at the moment

Posted by sale | April 26, 2012 4:22 PM

12:56, good luck getting your tix for face, but I'm not lying. I sold a pair for 250 on SH.

Posted by 12:38 | April 27, 2012 9:30 AM

they added another philly date, on sale tomorrow fyi

Posted by Anonymous | April 27, 2012 9:32 AM

They could book a week in Philly, Prospect Park will be the show to see (so long as it doesn't rain)

Posted by Anonymous | April 27, 2012 9:48 AM

Rain might be cool too...thunder not soo much

Posted by Anonymous | April 27, 2012 9:49 AM

sigur ros controls the weather, you'll be aight

Posted by Anonymous | April 27, 2012 10:05 AM

if it rains, i'll just wear my emo jacket, no worries

Posted by Anonymous | April 27, 2012 10:26 AM

Sigur Ros in Phili was great! A few nice setlist surprises! Weather was hot and humid but bearable. Band sounded great..horn section and singers joining them.
