Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:02 AM

they were never onsale. at 10:00:00:00:00:01 they were "sold out"

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:02 AM

Nope.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:03 AM

i got 2. suck it.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:03 AM

Fuckkkk. I missed out on my opportunity to make 5x face.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:04 AM

I totally forgot about the 10am ticket sale. I really wanted to try and sell these to fools who would spend $300 each to see a guy who has never performed live before.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:06 AM

Yup like i said yesterday. Sold out in about 1 second. I got 2. Putting up craigslist ad now for my extra. Bidding starts at 200 for the ticket for those who missed it

You know you don't want to miss this show.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:07 AM

"You know you don't want to miss this show."
Yes, I want to spend $200 to see a guy who makes tapes in his basement try to perform a show in front of an audience.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:08 AM

Jealousy and Hate will get you nowhere 10:08 troll

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:11 AM

hasn't pretty much every great band started by making tapes in a basement?

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:14 AM

No hate here. Just keepin it real. What fools do with their money is their business. I just know I wouldn't spend it to see a guy who never performed live before.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:15 AM

Yes, 10:14, but every great band perfected their live show in shitty bars in front of people who hate them, usually before getting a record deal or international media attention, not at big established music venues in front of close to 1000 people, after already receiving acclaim for their music.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:19 AM

..and to be clear, I'm not dissing him for making tapes in his basement. I'm dissing people who expect this to be a great live performance and are willing to spend hundreds of dollars to see it.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:21 AM

10:21

1. The guy has been performing live for the last half year.

2. If Echoes of Silence was produced in a basement, I want that basement.

Posted by Dog Armstrong | April 12, 2012 10:32 AM

no one got tickets. if you say you did - you are lying. especially 10:03 - liar.

There's a few cringe-worthy vocal moments here. C'mon now.. don't try to tell me that this guy can sing live.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:41 AM

Just because someone is great at producing recorded music, does not mean that it will translate live.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:45 AM

10:37,

Yeah right Sherlock. 2 600 person venues sold out in a second but no one got tix. It was all guest list/friends/industry people/scalpers

Please take your head out of your ass conspiracy theorist. Surely a number of those tickets went to the people above but yes my stupid friend some actual real live regular people got tickets.

You are probably one of those morons who think every comment on here that you don't agree with is only one person making the same comment over and over

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 10:53 AM

10:53 is right. TM has the ability to handle 1000 tickets per minute. Let's say only 300 tickets were available to the public for each show (band holds, tix for promo purposes, industry, et all). It is not too hard to believe that tickets would be sold out within seconds.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:04 AM

does anyone over 25 really care about this nonsense?

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:17 AM

People definitely got tix, though the fact that they put up conflicting ticket information seems like a really tidy way of avoiding any sort of ticketing conspiracy, by doing something equally sketchy.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:17 AM

Yes 11:17 there are people over 25 who care and those people probably think half of what you listen to is nonsense

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:22 AM

11:17 - Probably not too many. Just the ones who like anything Pitchfork tells them to like.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:26 AM

lemonade was a popular drink and it still is

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:28 AM

i know several people that got tix. stop whining!

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:30 AM

He's good live, just youtube it. Jesus, shut up. He's been performing live for over a year; just in Canada only.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:34 AM

11:28 has more props and stunts than Bruce Willis.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:37 AM

I like how the argument in this comments thread is "his EPs are incredible, but it might not translate live, so there is no way this is worth attending." Right.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:39 AM

Is this the kind of shit all you kids making fun of Kraftwerk and Pulp actually like?

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:40 AM

ALLLL THAT MONEYYYYYY THE MONEYYYY IS THE MOTIVE

Posted by scalper x | April 12, 2012 11:41 AM

Moving the onsale two hours earlier morning of? What the fuck guys

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:41 AM

1140 we make fun of you because you think kraftwerk and pulp are 'rock n roll' or still relevant. they are washed up. great, but washed up. if they were STILL great then they would have released a competent album in the last decade. that is why radiohead is better than pulp. and that is why radiohead is king (of limbs).

Posted by scalper x | April 12, 2012 11:42 AM

10:53. nope. no one. you're wrong.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:42 AM

@1141 all real fans knew they were going onsale at 10am; i applaud the misdirection. it was still hard as balls to get tickets at 10am though.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:43 AM

No, the argument is that he's not a live performer - great in the studio, but shitty live. He hasn't performed much, and when he has, his voice sounds awful. Anyone who says otherwise has low standards.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 11:44 AM

@11 43, if you're balls are hard you might want to see a doctor to have that checked out, bro

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2012 12:11 PM

11:42. Glad I am wrong. And the printout ticket in front of me and the nice addition to my bank account from the ticket i sold a litle while ago on SH are both glad you think I am wrong.

I suppose you going through your life every day in a state of delusion allows you to have it better than the rest of us. So congrats to you.

the on-sale was definitely not moved up 2 hours early day-of. i think BV posted it as noon yesterday but on the tweet from MHoW it had the correct on-sale time. i got 2 at 10 am with no chicanery or system. i didn't buy the tickets to scalp but, damn, i'm tempted with the insane prices on stubhub...messing with my head but i'm gonna go.

if you pay close to 200 per ticket, yes, it matters if he can deliver live but at 34.75, it seems a reasonable gamble.
