Wes of AN on stage with Cold Cave at Guggenheim (more by Amanda Hatfield)
Cold Cave

You snooze you lose. Or maybe you didn't snooze and were perched atop your keyboard ready to strike at the moment when American Nightmare tickets went on sale at noon today (5/31) and sold out pretty much immediately. The good news: American Nightmare/GUTG have added ANOTHER show at Webster Hall on July 20th. Tickets go on sale TOMORROW (Friday, 6/1) at noon.

Complete garbage - this band is a joke - wes plays fruity hipster music than needs cash so he reunites the most overated band of the last 10 years - good luck american$nightmare

I think this band sucks, but D, you REALLY need a life. You are likely well into your 30s and you spend your days posting in the comments section of BV. Get a fucking hobby, freak.

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 1:41 PM

who?

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 1:41 PM

Wait, so what's 1:41's hobby?

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 1:49 PM

Welcome to my nightmare

Posted by Freddy Krueger | May 31, 2012 1:50 PM

D I've seen this asked a million times, is there ANYTHING that you actually like?

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 1:51 PM

I don't care what you say about the band, Wes endured an unbelievable life with one hand and became a better person because of it. The Ghost limb jokes should at least be respectful, and you should realize that it's not a jab as much as a sign of dishonesty or being an average dick in your day to day life.

Either way, it's been strange to see this band turn into a legend when at eighteen they used to play to about forty opening for converge even before jane doe.

kick out the jams, however dated and amazing they once were

First comment r00led.

this is baffling

Posted by JT | May 31, 2012 1:58 PM

Is it just me or has this fucking band been in half the BV posts over the past few days?

RADIOHEAD TICKETS RELEASED FOR TONIGHT

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 2:13 PM

@2:06 - true. Their PR team is working overtime for sure. It'll die down soon enough.

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 2:17 PM

Ugh, i was there at 12 noon sharp and it "couldn't find a match".

Fuck it i saw them when they were together anyway.

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 2:30 PM

Solyndra is more relevant than Radiohead

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 2:41 PM

I don't get why people think that releasing a second show will prevent the SAME EXACT thing that happened today with tickets. The same scalper scum will buy up the tickets for the second show also. No tickets for people that actually want to go. That's so awesome!

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 3:08 PM

They should get Refused on the bill. Two stupid bands playing to equally stupid people.

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 3:34 PM

@308 supply demand will reduce the cost of tickets in the secondary market...only so many ppl actually want to go to that show

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 4:09 PM

Did anyone else notice the Bowery Presents t-shirt offer? What kind of loser would want to wear a Bowery Presents t-shirt?

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 4:22 PM

^Uhm...really not necessary on two fronts. Let's see if you're smart enough to figure them out.

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 6:37 PM

These guys are the worst band in recorded history

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 8:39 PM

why do only hateful people comment on BV?

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2012 10:15 AM

Wes and Jamie Jasta should start a review site where, between both of them, they will be able to give stuff two thumbs up.

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2012 12:58 PM

Nigga please with this band!

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2012 8:17 PM

Wahhh too many ppl like this band so I'm gonna be totally cool and say they suck

Posted by Anonymous | June 3, 2012 8:38 PM

1:41pm LOL at you being AnonymousE #3568 who thinks the real me has posted on here (1:38pm.) 'Sure are alot of dumb fucks on here who didn't notice that "I" posted just three minutes before 1:35 posted "inb4hardcoregodDcomesin". 1:35pm = 1:38pm.

BTW, 1:38pm is dead on. Why IS Wes doing American Nightmare again? After shunning the idea of it and having nothing to do with hardcore since the band broke up? Name me ONE hardcore show Cold Cave has played since their inception. Why not play a hardcore show? OFF! is a hardcore punk band (no matter what pretentious-assed Keith Morris says) and they've played with mostly non-hardcore bands and on non-hardcore shows.

1:41pm If I have no life, you have even less of a life replying to me.

You know what's funny? You've all missed my point about Refused and American Nightmare which is in three parts:

1. Both bands are back for the money but won't come out and say it. Why not come out and say it? Their fans wouldn't give a fuck.

2. These bands are getting WAYYYYY more support than current hardcore bands and that's awful for the future of hardcore. I mean Refused sells out Terminal 5 twice, AN sells out Webster Hall and adds a second show there, yet a show made up of the best five hardcore bands who formed say 2005 on would be lucky to draw 200 paid. That's terrible.

3. 1 & 2 is bad for hardcore in general. Hardcore becomes no different than the mainstream rock world where only a handful of bands bring out thousands and fuck the new/er, smaller bands.

Hardcore would be better off without Refused and AN (and reunions in general) and with more current bands drawing 200-400 each. For a really fucked up reason you bitches who go see Refused and/or AN won't support current bands that well.
