This is not news. No one cares about An Co anymore. Go back to Feels/Tongs days and I'll see them again.

Not a huge fan but people will care. They could easily play Summerstage/Radio City and sell it out.

lat summer

10:17: Agreed. My interest in AC has dwindled, but I'll give this one a shot.

10:12 seems to suffer from "They were so much better way back when not as many people knew about them" syndrome that is prevalent in Brooklyn these days.

On a side note, is the album going to be pronounced "Centipede Hertz"?

FWIW, MPP was a great album IMHO. SMH and LULZ at all the haters. Hoping AC tour dates TBA soon. CYA

AC in Prospect Park 2010 was one of the greatest concert experiences of my life.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 10:32 AM

I've got you all beat, I thought they sucked even back then when it was cool to like them.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 10:32 AM

^ha ha lulz!

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 10:49 AM

10:32 I hate them along with GBV and MNH! The three most overated bands of all time possibly?? What do I win?

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 10:52 AM

I saw Animal Collective before all of yall. Panda Bear was still being bottle-fed at the breeding center in Chengdu, China.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 11:04 AM

that was actually funny

I hate Radiohead, always have.

Game Over.

"I thought they sucked even back then when it was cool to like them."

I'd like to know what the standard gauge is for the right time to find it cool to like a band.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 11:32 AM

11:04 I almost laughed until I realized you're trying too hard.

Posted by Venkman | May 14, 2012 11:33 AM

11:32 you have to either like them before they are signed or catch their first live show in NYC..after that it is too late! I love Waffle King! Great band..nevermind shhh

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 11:39 AM

whatev, ac has been destroying since here comes the indian.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 12:04 PM

I like AC only in the warmer months!

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 12:19 PM

And just when you thought the jokes on here could not get any less funnier, along comes 12:19 to prove me wrong

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 12:36 PM

Let's see you "jaded" hipsters come up with something funnier then. Oh, that's right, you'd have to "try hard". Never mind.

Hummus Collective

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 12:49 PM

I would love to see the process how these guys record their record.

"Ok, turn on the flange over everything. Sounds great.
Now hit this preset on the ROLAND JP8000 triggered through a simon drum.Yep, that's the ticket. OK, now turn on every preset on
the NORD LEAD at the same time and we'll apply some awkward delay with a slight pitch on it. Fantastic guys, now lets release this shit out to the general public who wear animal costumes to our gigs in Prospect Park"

Posted by anonymous | May 14, 2012 4:48 PM

2:08 nice. listing all the ingredients doesn't tell you how it was cooked though.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 5:27 PM

^ it was cooked in a food processor with a dash of olive oil and tahini.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2012 8:10 PM

Posted by Anonymous | May 15, 2012 7:19 AM

Bet these guys are huge in Sweden, and other countries with a painfully low non-white population.

Posted by Anonymous | May 15, 2012 8:02 AM

^These guys are huge in Brooklyn and a small pocket of Manhattan..after that no one cares!

Posted by Anonymous | May 15, 2012 8:20 AM
