To say the show was a family affair is putting it mildly. Brendan's manager greeted fans as the doors opened and Benson was seen in the crowd before the show mingling with fans, rocking out to the music and guesting on drums during [The Howling Brothers] set... Brendan's hour long set was a nice introduction to his music, for those that were unfamiliar with his catalog, and he played tracks such as "Good to Me" from his 2002 album "Lapalco," which brought some of the loudest cheers of the night. -[accordingtog]Brendan Benson played Bowery Ballroom on May 5th as part of a string of dates in celebration of his new LP on his new label. Readymade labelmates Young Hines and Howling Brothers warmed up the crowd and as stated above, Benson sat in with the latter on drums. More pictures and the setlist from Bowery Ballroom, along with Young Hines' new video for "Can't Explode" from his Brendan Benson produced LP Give Me My Change, below...

saw him in Philly last week but he didn't play Crosseyed :/
too bad because it's still his best song. Even though it's about a twitchy lady.

Attended this wonderful concert whilst on short holiday in NYC with my son. Now back home in the UK, looking forward to seeing Brendan again tomorrow (23rd May) in Manchester in sunny old England xx
