"10:44 p.m.: Band takes bows but doesn't leave stage. Springsteen walks to lip of stage, takes a sign that says "Play 1 for Levon," referring to the late Levon Helm of the Band. Says Helm had "one of the greatest voices in country-rock and rock 'n' roll." Plays the Band song, "The Weight," with an acoustic guitar. Other band members join in, and everyone in the building sings along. Horns sound great on this. Just a great, great tribute. I feel very lucky to be here right now." [NJ.COM]
After two shows at the Izod Center and two at MSG, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band played another area show, this time at the Prudential Center in NJ last night (5/2). Check out the full setlist, "The Weight" included, below.

Bruce is headed overseas later this month for some touring in Europe, but will start up again in North America this August. The new dates include two shows at Chicago's Wrigley Field and three more home-state shows at, another insurance company sponsored venue, the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford in September. Tickets are still available (so maybe the BOSS ACT is not as necessary as they thought). All dates and that setlist, below...

Show was incredible. The Levon tribute was beautiful. He also busted out some rare gems that he almost never plays. Opening with No Surrender instead of a shitty new song like he did the rest of the tour, was a nice change of pace.

Throw in Rosalita and this was a good fuckin time (I'm not so hyperbolic that I'd throw around the term perfect; alot of those new songs SUCK, especially Rocky Ground with that girl rapping).

i thought Wrigley was the gum...

LOL @ white people @ Bruce Springsteen shows

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 2:19 AM

what's so funny about clarence clemmons being dead now? you have no decency, using this as a platform to spew racist bigotry

Posted by Linsani D | May 3, 2012 2:23 AM

Exceptional show, one of the best I've ever seen--of about 50 Boss sets. But it was all white people.

Love BV What a genius. Guy could not give a fuck about Bruce or his shows but makes a review of each one in the area as troll bait for idiot Boss fans with no discerning taste and all the time in the world to post how each show is "INCREDIBLE"

LULZ,

Can't wait for him to come in Europe, i just love this man

Posted by Tim | May 3, 2012 4:55 AM

Bruce fans are robots with no taste or sense of adventure. It's not 1986 anymore. Move on.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 6:56 AM

^Great comment...notice how half the songs in the setlist are from 2001 and on, but you wouldn't because you don't know what you are talking about...idiot!

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 7:13 AM

hey hey hey he's here for the working man ease up people.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 7:17 AM

6:56 seems like everyone moved on but your brain is stuck in 1986.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 7:56 AM

"Opening with No Surrender instead of a shitty new song like he did the rest of the tour, was a nice change of pace."

But I thought he had been opening up most of the shows with "Badlands." That's neither shitty nor new!

Posted by M | May 3, 2012 7:58 AM

I wish i was stuck in '86, would make being a Mets fan much easier

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 8:01 AM

stupid instagram

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 8:25 AM

8:01 ha ha so true!

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 8:46 AM

Perfect show, but why only white people were there?

Posted by Lusi | May 3, 2012 8:59 AM

I saw a few colored folks there.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 9:16 AM

FUUUUUCK, not this shit again!

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 9:19 AM

LOL White People!

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 9:22 AM

Is it politically correct to say "colored people" anymore?

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 9:24 AM

Instagram is so stupid.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 9:40 AM

I know some coloreds that go for Bruce but most of those people like that disco thing better. To each his own, so long as none of them go dating my daughter, then things might get ugly.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 10:00 AM

^ I'm coming for your daughter.

Posted by A colored fellow. | May 3, 2012 10:19 AM

Springsteen hologram???

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 10:32 AM

Brooooooooooce. Brooklyn is filled with nerds. NERDS. Morris County, New Jersey would destroy Brooklyn in fisticuffs.

Posted by Mr. Kisses | May 3, 2012 10:48 AM

Come on 10:19, but if I wuz you I might invest in some kevlar hee hee

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 10:58 AM

Can we have more Springsteen posts? I've prepared some snarky material but I don't want to have to use it down here at comment number 27.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 11:07 AM

Rick Ross is the only Boss that matters.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 11:14 AM

Springsteen sucks so bad I'm going to pay 4x face and then walk the fuck out.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 11:28 AM

God made white people so that someone could take their money by charging 4x face for Springsteen tickets

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 11:42 AM

Why do so many people in Brooklyn call it BK? Because they're fruits.

Why do so many people in Brooklyn wear Brooklyn t-shirts? Because they want you to know they're living in Brooklyn, NY.

Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce! The Jersey Devil is coming.

Posted by The Kid Kisses | May 3, 2012 12:02 PM

If youre dumb enough to pay above face for tickets, it's your fault. Never bought a scalped ticket, would never pay above face for anything.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 12:06 PM

Bishop Danced, Saint in the City, Talk to Me... nice extra stuff for the lifers who go to every show.

Posted by obie | May 3, 2012 1:20 PM

candy's room seems like a nugget, no? can't imagine he plays that one much.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 1:27 PM

My City of Ruin and Rising has got to go..I like the songs and they go over well live but they take 20 minutes each...chop them and put in some more barn burners!

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 1:46 PM

Yeah, he did his band introductions during My City of Ruins, which seems odd. It's a very morbid song, written like a day or two after 9/11. Doesnt fit in with the jovial nature of the band introduction.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 3:23 PM

Why bring race into this.....City of ruin depicts what has happened in Newark as well as Asbury and Camden......state of the state....who's fault? We are not robots either......put the power to that place. Born and bred in Newark.....For those that remember, that area was dying......Glad to see the turn out and the city made some good money.....Great set! GO DEVILS!

Posted by Eddie | May 3, 2012 3:25 PM

LOL fucking white New Jersey Bruce fan idiots. Easy targets for my piss balloons.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 3:48 PM

Q: What should you do if you're a Mets and a Bruce fan?

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 3:54 PM

A: Die.

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 3:57 PM

Q: What should you do if you are posting on BV at May 3, 2012 between 3:54 PM and 3:57 PM?

A: take the stranger's cock out of your mouth, take the gerbil out of your ass, pull your pants up and get back to work. There's time for all that later when it's your turn at the St. Vitus glory hole.

No Backstreets update, Greasy Lake is offline, this is really slumming it, but the site does work. Thanks to Bruce these nerds are getting hits galore. Lot of clicks out there.

Posted by Loverboy | May 3, 2012 4:22 PM

(shhhh ... 4:22 thinks he can divine site statistics just by thinking really hard. It's adorable, I know, but let's none of us spoil his magical thinking, OK?)

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 4:28 PM

I saw 2 black guys. So...FACIAL!

Posted by Anonymous | May 3, 2012 4:49 PM

^ yeah, but they had no tats, no rhythm and small dicks. they're not really coloreds.

Posted by Anonymous | May 4, 2012 8:29 AM

Stop being immature and rasist...not funny in the slightest

Posted by C | May 4, 2012 8:32 AM
