Citizens Arrest at Europa in 2011 (more by Sarah Coulter)
Citizens Arrest

Screaming Females dropping off of the previously discussed Warsaw show on June 14th due to Marisa's sickness was a bit of a blow. Thankfully, the guys in Citizens Arrest have swooped in to take their place! Tickets for Ceremony, Citizens Arrest, Royal Headache and Magrudergrind (who just played Europa) are on sale or you can try to get in with your Northside badge.

The show is one of several US dates scheduled for the great Royal Headache, including another NYC show at Cake Shop on June 13th. So far the band is still waiting on clearances for their visas so they can kick off their tour at Chaos in Tejas this weekend. The tour was originally scheduled to begin on the West Coast last week, but those dates were rescheduled due to visa issues. Check out all updated Royal Headache dates below and fingers crossed for their safe passage to the US!

Ted Leo begins his assault of NYC in the Summer... Watch the onslaught of paid and free shows begin...

moar geriatric hardcore. D is probably a fan.

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 12:25 PM

D isnt a fan of anything. He takes the time to learn the most minute details of the most underground hardcore bands, but talks shit on all of them.

Either way, geriatric, my ass. Citizen's Arrest is a vast improvement over Screaming Females for this show.

Warsaw is a pretty big space, I don't think any of these bands will come close to filling it. Weird booking choice.

How can I get a refund now that SF isn't playing?

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 12:33 PM

Anything with Ted Leo is better than the bullshit out there. This show will be insanely good.

Amen 12:38!

Screaming Females is an amazing band. CA is sub-par these days. FUNEBRARUM would have been a better choice..

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 1:13 PM

The singer for CA is a rich dickhead from Jersey.

More middle aged hardcore guys. These guys are sad. They need to move on as both musicians and people. If they are married, I feel badly for their wives. It's rock and roll...you're not supposed to look back.

hey guys, this is a citizens arrest so shut the fuck up and follow my orders!

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 4:29 PM

props to Citizens Arrest and Rorschach for providing the soundtrack to Peter Pan syndrome.

Fact: Citizens Arrest is better than your band. But not to worry, your mother thinks you're very clever and that you're just waiting to hit your stride.

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 4:44 PM

^ Fact: you obviously need to look up the definition of 'fact'.

12:25pm I am not a fan of Citizens Arrest. Shitty demo, decent but overrated debut 7", bad LP, awful live band. Total third tier 1980s NYHC too many people tout as the tits cuz they outlasted most of the other third tier 1980s NYHC bands.

12:28pm I'm not a "fan" period, asshead, I'm into the music I'm into. I'm not into everything a band does.

4:20 and 4:38pm

You're an adult posting in comments for an entry about a reformed hardcore band, so what does that make you afflicted with? If you're so "grown up" WTF are you doing on here?

BTW "middleaged" is such a stupid word. Since most Americans die at age 75, that means middleage would be 25-50, so if you're 27 guess what? You're middleaged. If you're 24 or younger, you were born in 1988 at the earliest thus have jack shit to say about what people should be doing at what ages.

@4:46 nope, I'm well aware of the definition of fact. Here's another fact: Nobody gives a shit about you or anything you do -- that is except your aforementioned mom.
