^ Probably just taking the piss.

If this guy didn't get run over, would he be getting the coverage he'd be getting now?

Lin ran over John Toubin. DiPaolo has ensured the safety of Toubin.

If this guy didnt get run over (while sleeping in a hotel room)...
Would he still have thousands of dollars in medical bills?
Would it be feat for him to even physically be able to DJ?

Gosh its so unfair

Good for Jonathan! Losing one's health or mobility is a nightmare nobody should have to face.

Hard to track the retorts now that the trolls are removed. Should remove all references as well. Make a clean sweep.

He's still just a DJ

Fuck this site.
Nothing but a breeding ground for racist, sexist and nasty shit!
Stay classy BVG!

Bands were great and rock legends showed up for secret sets. Mick Collins from Gories, April March, James Chance from Contortions. Maybe more I missed. Jonathan Toubin only played for around an hour after the bands unless he came back late. He didn't seem to have lost his DJ ability or his crowd. Fun show. Glad he's back.

Not sure I would classify Mick Collins, April March or even James Chance as rock legends. But i guess that falls right into line with the type of over exaggerated hyperbole that inhabits this site

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 12:14 AM

James Chance IS a rock legend, especially in NYC.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 8:33 AM

^Very not true.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 9:01 AM

8:33: Agreed completely. Just because he wasn't well-known by the mainstream does not negate that fact either.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 10:15 AM

J Chance a legend , as " extremely famous or notorious" ? Clearly not the former, but possibly somewhat notorious, I guess. I mean fighting w some audience members at CBGB's and getting your ass kicked? making a few records? that's more like a footnote than a legend

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 6:17 PM

^Uhm...have you ever listened to said records and considered their influence on subsequent artists 6:17? James Chance just a footnote? My ass.
