Occupy banner

Tonight at City Winery:

Join Music for Occupy on May 8th to inspire and celebrate through music the Occupy Wall Street movement and the 99% who've been adversely affected by the economic corruption that has permeated our Democracy, created a near insurmountable disparity in wealth, and hindered life, liberty, justice and the pursuit of an honest living for all.

Music For Occupy is in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street, and all proceeds above board attained through the production and distribution of "Occupy This Album: a compilation of music by, for and inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement and the 99%" will go directly towards the needs of sustaining this growing movement. A portion of the proceeds of ticket sales will also go to the Occupy Wall Street movement

The lineup, listed in full below, includes Michael Moore accompanied by Tom Chapin, Dave Dreiwitz, David Amram, and Kevin Twigg (yes that Michael Moore). Expect them to do their cover of "Times They Are a Changin", which you can also listen to, below...

LOL OWS @ The City Whinery - can't make it up

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 2:04 PM

Great an OWS album. Guess the masterminds needed a distraction from telling children that they can't have bake sales any more. I'll give the right this much - at least they advocate less government intrusion, and you KNOW with one look at Michael Moore that such self-control is unknown to his type.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 2:19 PM

Horrible, laughable cover. Talk about exploitation. Michael Moore ruins everything.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 2:21 PM

This is the definitive Times They Are A Changin'

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 2:21 PM

Can I just say "fat rock" so no one else gets to?

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 2:23 PM

2:19pm

Explain "government intrusion". I feel like getting into a debate about it today haha.

Bring it.

Posted by D | May 8, 2012 2:34 PM

They should make a song about the Occupy morons who tried to blow up a bridge in Cleveland.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 2:35 PM

I feel like shitting my pants.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 2:35 PM

2:35pm No one involved with Occupy "tried to blow up a bridge in Cleveland".

Nice, pathetic, failed try with trying to link Occupy movement with terrorism.

You're not D
You can't fool me
You are only
Semi-anonymous

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 2:42 PM

Mr. D is a very stupid individual

This is one of the douchiest covers I've ever heard in my life.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 2:48 PM

I wasn't aware we were supposed to be remotely giving a fuck about absolute wastes of time like OWS in the first place.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 2:50 PM

Sorry Michael Moore, but you're a 58-year-old white millionaire. That makes you part of the problem.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 3:06 PM

Hey, why don't we find out where Michael Moore lives and do to him what he did to Roger Smith 23 years ago? I'm sure he won't mind us trespassing on his property and eating his food and watching his satellite plasma widescreen, given that he is all "down with the cause" and all.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 3:10 PM

2:42pm - 2:34pm and 2:40pm are me.

2:45pm - That all you could come up with, asshead?

2:50pm You don't have to "remotely be giving a fuck about (people you think are) absolute wastes of time like OWS". You could take a walk outside or knit or some shit, dickwad.

3:06pm - How is Michael Moore "part of the problem" because he's a millionaire?

3:10pm - 'The fuck are you babbling about? Show me where Moore was arrested for trepassing on Roger Smith's propety or shut the fuck up.

Posted by D | May 8, 2012 4:09 PM

It seems that D thinks Michael Moore's cover of The Times They Are a-Changin' rivals Dylan's.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 4:22 PM

4:22pm LOL

Kudos to Moore for doing something and broadcasting it for all to see when he knows countless people will make fun of it / him.

At least he has balls, unlike you bitches.

Posted by D | May 8, 2012 4:28 PM

He has the balls to be a fat disgusting pig in spite of knowing people laugh at him for that, too. Balls as big as church bells, the man has. He'd probably comment here using a capital letter, that's how manly he is.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 5:18 PM

And you'd keep posting without a username, that's how chickenshit you are.

Keep crying about my username, bitch.

Posted by D | May 8, 2012 5:39 PM

Using D as a username doesn't make you any less anonymous than anyone else here, ya moron. It does, however, enable everyone who reads here to notice that so many of the stupid comments here come from the same loser though.

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 6:12 PM

white people

Posted by Anonymous | May 8, 2012 6:19 PM

6:12pm If anyone's the "loser" it's you for having so little of a life you feel the need to read my shit, respond to it, and call me a name under anonymity.

Why are my comments "stupid"? They're not, you're just too fucking stupid to comprehend what I'm writing which is sense to your nonsense and crying about me like I fucked your girlfriend.

Posted by D | May 8, 2012 6:37 PM

^ That is not the real D. That is the work of a homebound suburban middle aged semi-ambulatory lonely little man, who may or may not have a criminal record involving sexual misconduct. Either way, if you don't feed the troll he will go away.

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2012 5:19 PM

michael moore is a hero, unlike you hater-poser-losers who care nothing for the good of society or your fellow man.
have fun with your left hands for another night.
ps - karma's a b*tch.

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2012 5:23 PM

Michael Moore is a fat sloppy bitch
If you think otherwise you are an asshole

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2012 5:27 PM

Keep crying about my username, bitch.
