Still have no idea why people think Thom Yorke is a DJ. Dude plays songs by Madlib, Flying Lotus etc... from his iPod.

Retarded.

INSTAGRAM TIME!!!

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 1:52 PM

Why would a real musician lower themselves into being a lower type of entertainer: a DJ?

ipod/vinyl who cares? All you do is press play.

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 1:56 PM

Angel dust smoking time!

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 1:57 PM

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 1:58 PM

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 2:12 PM

so do Long Island City residents not get in for free anymore, is it unclear, do you not care, or what

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 2:14 PM

why should LIC residents get in FREE? i live in manhattan - do i get into T5 free?

we do not care.

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 2:18 PM

hear hear, 2:18!

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 2:27 PM

Not sure why they would say its the first time with advance tickets.
They sold them last year through Agnes B (where I bought some...) and some other retailers I think.

Any word on how to buy on 6/18?

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 2:31 PM

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 2:40 PM

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 2:45 PM

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 2:47 PM

wow, this is way worse than last year's line-up. WTF?

At least Holy Other is fucking sick...

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 2:47 PM

yo 2:14, from the website....

MoMA Members receive one ticket for themselves with a valid Membership card. Long Island City residents receive one free entry for themselves upon showing proof of their residency.

2:18: T5's objective is taking away fake IDs from kids who just wanted to pay $11 for a drink and listen to some indie bands they discovered on NPR. Museums have different missions.

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 3:22 PM

best lineup in years.. well balanced with great talent. this will be a good season.

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 3:24 PM

oh yess! Very well rounded too...

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 3:44 PM

Retarded.

think your allowed to do that sort of thing when you've written as many great songs as he has. respect where respect is due.

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 3:50 PM

Thom and Nigel did something similar in LA last month during Coachella - this seems to be happening in between europe and australian legs of the band's tour and quite possibly be when the new Atoms For Peace album being released

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 3:54 PM

Most musicians are shitty DJs.
Thom Yorke is not Larry Levan.

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 4:21 PM

if its Thom and Nigel DJ'ing together, that will be very interesting to see and listen to. Nigel is a brilliant producer. would love to hear what he throws down. plus, Holy Other earlier in the day.. wowza!

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 4:24 PM

wow, this is way worse than last year's line-up. WTF?

^
definitely not.

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 4:25 PM

very cool lineup, but i can't deal with the throngs of idiots who show up to these things

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 4:43 PM

Give me the entirety of July 14 and Kassem Mosse, and you can keep the rest. Most of these other groups/people should not be DJing to crowds

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 6:11 PM

That Thom Yorke one is gonna be waaaaaaaaay sold out!!!! You're gonna have to line up like morning to get in. ha ha ha

Posted by Anonymous | May 30, 2012 8:57 PM

Thom Yorke closing this out is an insult to DJs everywhere. Not a bad line-up. I'll probably go to four of them. Def not the XX or Yorke ones though.

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 12:32 AM

One of the bet parts of the summer... Too bad theres no more after party on the water

Posted by Anonymous | May 31, 2012 6:17 AM

Photek, Floating Points, Matthew Dear, Nick Catchdubs, these look like good shows. Haters stay away, some people actually like things.

Posted by Anonymous | June 1, 2012 9:00 PM

what is the capacity for these shows?

Posted by Anonymous | June 18, 2012 1:29 PM

3000 ^

Posted by Anonymous | June 18, 2012 1:45 PM

magnet for douchebags on ecstasy

then you will miss prob one of the best DJ sets all summer. Jamie is the real deal. heard him spin twice last summer. real tight and record sel within a 90's NY house era sound. the kid knows what he is doing.

Posted by Anonymous | July 20, 2012 11:32 PM
