Get this right, BV. When The Adicts started they weren't trying to copy anyone in particular. There was no name for 3rd wave punk yet, and you kids on this board wish that you were alive back then, when music really mattered. What I do know is the The Adicts can totally out perform any of the band of the months often featured on here. You know which ones, like Atlas Sound and Panda Bear. At least The Adicts bring some sincerity into the current rock scene, which is so lacking most of the time. So I endorse The Adicts for what they do, as part of the stronger generation, not a bunch of butt hurt herbs like most of you on here.

Total poser crap for people who think anything with a British accent is punk rock. This shit sells tickets in droves, though. It's for the same people who go to Social Distortion shows once every two years, I guess

I'm so tired of the sincerity that's lacking in the current rock scene. Let's listen to some shitty band from the '80s.

Beg to differ...while they're certainly a joke (no pun intended) caricature of themselves now, they did write some pretty catchy fun punk back in the day and were a welcome dose of humor in the Oi scene right up there with the Toy Dolls and Peter & The Testube Babies.

No matter what you think of these cunts, the unintended humor of The Adicts does not even come close to the unintended humor of Joe Biden. Now there is a schlamozzle that has not idea what everyone else is laughing at. And laugh we do!

their shows are fun as shit

What biting insight. You must be on livejournal.

The Adicts are fun, you negative assholes are not. Enjoy your miserable lives listening to your Aaron Dilloway records at home alone.

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2012 6:12 PM

don't like them, i wonder who does!

Posted by Anonymous | May 18, 2012 9:53 AM

Wow, the bullshit negativity on this thread is amazing. Oh please people, enlighten us on what is punk rock so I can be as "hip" as some of the people on this board. I'll be waiting with baited breath.

And yes, the Cocksparrer/Street Dogs show would be killer as well. Going to be seeing The Adicts in Chicago and can't fucking wait!

What's wrong with listening to Aaron Dilloway records at home alone?
