Recently reunited emo heroes The Promise Ring, who still haven't released more info on that rarities comp due this summer via Dangerbird, played NYC at Irving Plaza on May 20th with Waivers, the day after the band played Bamboozle in NJ. Pictures and the setlist from the NYC show are in this post (Bamboozle pics are on the way).
No more NYC dates scheduled at the moment, but the band do have a handful of US dates slated for this summer. Those include Bumbershoot, a return to Chicago (where they played earlier this year) for Riotfest, and a visit to Riotfest Philadelphia too. All dates are listed with the rest of the pictures below.

they played so many songs, but I hardly even noticed which I think is the mark of a great show. I was never ready for it to end.

The room was likely filled with the twinks who make sausage comments in the bbg posts. Cutters and Nightmare before Christmas fans.

Wow, Brooklyn Vegan comment threads are even worse than YouTube comment threads. Good articles, though, thanks for posting the setlist and pics. The show was amazing.
