Woods at Austin Psych Fest 2012 (more by Tim Griffin)

Woods kicked off a tour with Mmoss last month surrounding Austin Psych Fest which included a NYC-area show at Maxwell's on 4/20 (how was that?). The tour is wrapping up this weekend with a Philly show last night (5/4), a NYC show tonight (5/5) at 285 Kent with Crystal Stilts, and a show at Storm King Art Center on Sunday with Widowspeak (who kick off a tour with 2:54 in June).

For Crystal Stilts, tonight's show is their only non-festival date, though they've been playing more and more lately. As far as festivals, they're on the lineup of this year's Capitol Hill Block Party.

All dates and a video of Woods at Austin Psych Fest below...

Look up "hipster" in any good dictionary and you get an image of this fuck.

1:05 -

Took all of 3 seconds from idea to posting here. But, don't feel bad if it takes you a few minutes - someone's got to wash dishes and sweep up.

Serious question here - Is "Woods" the band or the dude? That brings me to my core question (see 8:03) - should it be "woods are such a fucking joke" or "woods is such a fucking joke". See, it comes back to whether we are talking about Woods representing the hipster in the picture, or the collection of hipsters that make up the band, or the construct of the band itself. I need to know this, so someone please answer. Thank you.

1:11: I had the same thoughts when I first couldn't tell whether Bon Iver was the singer or the group.

woods are about the furthest thing from hipsters inhabiting the bk scene. how do you function as a music fan being so deeply misguided and incorrect about what you're trying to talk about?

seriously, that band is made up of normal grown up guys, all in their late 20s / early 30s and living humble, sedentary lives. unless "hipster" means early middle aged quiet person, you're just wrong brah.
