Yob

Portland doom trio Yob were kind enough to swing through NYC on their way to Maryland Deathfest, playing The Bell House on May 23. They were joined by Richmond's Cough, also MDF-bound with both playing the doom-centric Sunday (5/27) lineup (with Electric Wizard). More pictures from Bell House are below.
Yob's Mike Scheidt performed a solo set to open the Bell House show, drawing material from his solo LP on Thrill Jockey and you can check out pictures from his performance below as well.

they definitely put on a better show at LPR last year, but their MDF set was unbelievable. cough were unspurisingly one of the best bands at MDF as well.

Disagree 9:17, the Bell House show was far and away more impressive than LPR. Better sound, better selection of songs, more down-to-earth and raw performance.
