Exit music singer is pretty too. Seems crazy to not want to also sleep with her at the same time as long as you are wishing on stars

I had a better time at 80's Prom at Webster Hall & the people there were certainly more entertaining.

Posted by Anonymous | June 18, 2012 3:31 PM

This was the best Northside show I went to. Field Mouse and Asobi were the definite highlights.

Posted by Anonymous | June 18, 2012 3:32 PM

Fuckin two bad bitches AT THE SAME DAMN TIME

Posted by Anonymous | June 18, 2012 3:38 PM

Asobi Seksu really knows how to fucking rock it.

Posted by Anonymous | June 18, 2012 3:59 PM

If that's true, then you might want to reconsider your choices for Northside next year, 3:32. I think you could've done better!

Fuck it, keyboardist from Ape School too while we're at it.

Posted by Anonymous | June 18, 2012 5:21 PM

Q: What do these bands have in common?

A: Would.

Posted by Anonymous | June 18, 2012 5:24 PM

Asobi were incredible. Field Mouse too but I enjoyed looking at the keyboardist from Ape School the most

How completely unsurprising to see hipsters making objectifying comments about the women and only a handful about the actual music/performance.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 11:19 AM

@11:19 Music is for free on the internet and women are beautiful and mysterious. I can't speak for everyone here, but when I objectify women in comments its mostly because doing so makes me feel big/cool which is necessary because inside me I have issues with the idea of women making music. It makes me feel inadequate.

Posted by 2hip2dip | June 19, 2012 11:50 AM

@11:50 ditto. I grew up in a household where my father was the bread winner and he took care of all of us and I have that kind of instilled in me where I feel that my job as a man is to provide for / control the woman in my life and when I see them independent of that and making music on stage in a socially dominant position (in relation to me) it makes me feel like shit because of how I define myself and as crass as it is saying things like "sick tits" on comments sections really helps with a lot of those internal negative feelings.

Biology objectifies women. All the PC nonsense in the world isn't going to change that basic truth.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 12:54 PM

@12:54 biology doesn't objectify anything. Your own fucked brain and personal biases do the objectification. Science just exists. Anyway even if that WERE true (and it's not you fucking moron) it still wouldn't be logical justification for you doing any objectifying. If you want to hate women or feel better than them just do it. Don't try and use science in your argument because you just look stupid and you would rather be an asshole than stupid. I've read your book.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 2:22 PM

can we all just agree that art isn't subjective and whomever comments more is correct?

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 2:22 PM

girls make better music and music better. you should feel inadequate. you are inadequate. most guys are shitty musicians. and most brooklyn guys i've seen have sweeter tits than the girls.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 2:31 PM

@2:22 (#2) yes

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 2:43 PM

2:22 ever heard of evolutionary psychology? The urge to reproduce in a manner that is most favorable for the potential offspring is somehow made up and doesn't inherently objectify women?

PUHleaze. That take bull back to the Womyn's Studies department.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 2:43 PM

evolutionary psychology isn't biology. Women have a desire to reproduce and also have periods and have to carry children for a whole year all that shit probably sucks (i am a dude) but it sucks from my perspective not the perspective of biology itself.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 3:04 PM

fine, testosterone objectifies women.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 3:19 PM

brooklyn sucks........

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 3:29 PM

closer! People do.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 3:30 PM

@3:29 totally valid but maybe if you feel that way your time would be better spent on a website that doesn't have "brookyn" in the url. There is probably a juggalo forum with your name on it somewhere!

"How completely unsurprising to see hipsters making objectifying comments about the women and only a handful about the actual music/performance."

They're most likely dykey art-school hipster girls. You'd have to replace Asobi Seksu with Atlas Sound and Exitmusic with The Pains of Being Pure At Heart for it to ring true with the hipster guys with scarves on.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 5:00 PM

@3:29 you rule

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2012 6:01 PM

A good insight and ideas.. I will use it in my article. You’ve obviously spent a lot of time on this. Congratulations!
