Ceremony at Warsaw - 6/14/12
Ceremony

Ceremony (who we recently interviewed), Citizens Arrest (who replaced Screaming Females), Royal Headache, and Magrudergrind teamed up for a Northside show at Warsaw last Thursday (6/14). It was the second NYC show for Royal Headache last week, who played Cake Shop a day earlier (6/13). More pictures from the Warsaw show (unfortunately none of Citizens Arrest) are below.

Looks like Ceremony killed. but please can we have a moratorium on individual crowd shots like this: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/img/music/ceremony/warsaw/22.jpg

That's inappropriate. You're going to get that kid grounded.

Looks like linasshole has been purged from the threads? Thank God and BV.

Posted by Thank you. | June 19, 2012 1:59 PM

Mcgruber. Also that is quite an impressive purple brohawk!

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 2:37 PM

^ and yet the supposed nazi wannabe must not realize that he's in a band with a jew (and this story's been covered here before.) and you're not D.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 2:47 PM

The shit with the American flag was pretty dumb.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 2:49 PM

it's been well documented what Nazi shit he's still into (as much as he claims he's not into it anymore.)
- explain then. i'd rather know than be in denial.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 3:01 PM

I don't have to "explain" shit.

Ever heard of Google? Yes, you have, so type "Disma Nazi sympathizer" and go to it.

Or better yet, since you or someone else (probably you from your posting times of 2:47pm and 3:01pm today) evoked that "it's been covered here before" (here being Brooklyn Vegan), type Disma and read up.

You have the option to still live in denial that Citizens Arrest is cool with Nazi wannabes.

Posted by D | June 19, 2012 3:22 PM

That singer from Citizens arrest is in Disma?! Didn't know. The singer of Disma may be a tool for being into Nazi stuff, but that aside Disma's lyrical content or imagery has nothing to do with Nazism. He maybe a jerk, but Disma put out a quite a good record last year.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 3:24 PM

ceremony sucks. anyone saying they are good should go back to posting on the b9 board. grown men playing children's music.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 3:25 PM

I googled disma nazi sympathizer and found nothing???

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 3:32 PM

What I was saying is that he's supposedly past that part of his life. It was repugnant, but I didn't see anything saying that he's still into it. D, if you know something that isn't Google-able, please explain to us. No one wants to support assholes.

Posted by 2:47 / 3:01 | June 19, 2012 3:49 PM

3:25pm You: a grown man posting in comments about a BV entry about a hardcore show. Shouldn't you be working or looking for work, Mr.Oh So Mature And Grown Up. BTW Henry Rollins joined Black Flag after his teens.

3:24pm The singer for Disma may be a tool and a jerk for being into Nazi stuff? He is a tool and a jerk for being into Nazi stuff, not to mention an anti-Semite, a bigot, and most likely a racist, too, as Nazi wannabes (like the real deal) hate non-whites as well as Jews. So what Disma has no Naziism in their lyrics or imagery? Disma is not the issue, the issue is their singer being a Nazi wannabe. With your logic a band could have lyrics about fighting racism written and sang by a guy who calls African Americans "niggers".

3:32pm Yeah sure you "found nothing". 'Love how you blatantly fake playing dumb.

more *shocking* antics from Ceremony's singer. He's a nut guys! What a loose cannon.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 4:02 PM

That polish guy in the gold shirt is very handsome with the singer of ceremoy.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 4:06 PM

so did the singer of ceremony bring the flag with him to destroy? otherwise thanks for ruining a venue that doesn't have to do shows, but does. i am sure the folks who run warsaw loved those antics. now get back to cali with your fake bullshit hardcore.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 4:08 PM

Screw all the dumb fakers, D lives it every day and he's got zero tolerance for people who pose being dumb!

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 4:10 PM

4:08 exactly.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 4:11 PM

Ceremony's career ended the day they signed to Matador.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 4:13 PM

uh-oh. D - you weren't citing old stories, were you? Is there some proof that Craig hasn't turned over a new leaf like he says?

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 4:16 PM

4:08 really nailed it

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 4:32 PM

Yeah, I mean say what you will about America. But destroying Warsaw's flag is really just saying "F Warsaw". He should have tore up some pierogis while he was at it.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 6:09 PM

Dude needs to grow up.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 6:22 PM

The handsome Polish guy in the gold shirt is actually a very famous comedian in his home country. He goes by the name Jokin' Jerzy.

Posted by Anonymous | June 19, 2012 7:49 PM

Ceremony = Hipster hardcore. Wannabe Wire garbage. Fuck Matador Records.

Fuck Ceremony's singer for desecrating the American flag. Such a pretentious, disrespectful bitch.

I mean at least make a statement with the flag which would show you stand for something. It's still fucked up but at least it's honest not just being a "a look how punk I am" punkass.

Posted by D | June 19, 2012 7:55 PM

I'm not the "still waiting" guy, but I am still waiting for something to tell me why I shouldn't believe Craig from Disma's renounced his younger, dumber self.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2012 10:27 AM

Maybe D should jump in and claim it was a D-impostor who was spreading old rumors?

Posted by DenieD | June 20, 2012 11:22 AM

Time's a-tickin, D. Where's your smoking gun on Craig?

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2012 1:51 PM

1:51pm Give it a rest with playing dumb, dumbass.

Craig is a Nazi wannabe and if he "renounced" his Nazi sympathy, he did it only cuz he got caught being a Nazi wannabe.

If no one called him out, he would continue to be a Nazi wannabe, so shut the fuck up about how I have to show "proof" he is one. Google - try it sometime. But you won't cuz you'd rather play dumb.

Prove that he isn't a Nazi wannabe. He has a fucking SS tattoo on his arm. Figure it out stupid, and don't tell me he couldn't get it removed. Tattoos can be removed. There are tattoo removal programs for people who want to remove gang tats.

Posted by D | June 21, 2012 4:04 AM

I would personally pay to have his tattoo removed if he replaced it with something a little more "friendly" like a pony or a unicorn. The offensive symbol in question is from the industrial band Laibach.

Posted by D | June 21, 2012 4:14 AM

YTINAS. NIL is our only hope.

Posted by D | June 21, 2012 5:34 AM

The more I look at the picture the fellow in the yellow shirt and tie is really handsome.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 8:24 PM

Pillard just recently allowed a Sturmfuhrer record to be repressed by Satanic Skinhead......even requested that the label print up shirts on only the most comfy American Apparel shirts. It's funny that they took pains not to use names and only refer to him as "the artist". There was never any indication that he had changed his ways until he got called out during the Chaos in Tejas controversy, and he seems mighty comfortable with his SS tattoos.
As far as Darryl and Disma goes, everyone draws their own lines as far as what they are willing to accept or over look. I've been aware of Pillards sketchy politics for a long time, so I've made sure to not spend a single cent on a Disma record or merch, which is a shame, because musically they are great.
