Deer Tick at Red Hook Park - 6/21/12

Not long after Action Bronson and Das Racist did it, Deer Tick played a free show in Brooklyn's Red Hook Park last week (6/21) with Jonny Corndawg, courtesy of Summerstage. When we last spoke, we mentioned that they covered the Beastie Boys' "FIght For Your Right" and that pictures from the show were on the way. Those pictures are in this post.
As you know if you follow BrooklynVegan Instagram, "Deer Tick shows now more interactive with the introduction of DINGO." Based on the popular game BINGO (ok, it's exactly the same as BINGO), everyone in the audience gets a DINGO board and checks off the squares as Deer Tick plays certain songs or does certain crazy things. Winners can get on stage, and at least in this case, "do whatever they want". You'll see the one DINGO winner from this show, in a purple tank top, in the pictures below.
After the show, Jonny Corndawg went on to play Brooklyn Bowl the next night (6/22) with The Infamous Stringdusters, and Deer Tick's John McCauley and Robbie Crowell went on to play two shows as members of Diamond Rugs. As mentioned, Diamond Rugs will be on Letterman tonight (6/25).
More pictures from Red Hook Park are below...
