Pre-emptively complaining that all the scalper bots already have the good RCMH seats.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 10:49 AM

Gotye... he's that guy with the bad memory right?

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 10:54 AM

Metric was giving away tickets to their MHOW show. Too bad you missed that one, BV.

Now they're 100x(face + 1)

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 10:57 AM

RCMH is a sucker's game, especially for a band like grizzly bear. 0.00001xface day of show. you'll pull front row pit tickets for under $100 day of.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 10:59 AM

ORCHESTRA SEATS FOR RCMH, no SCALPERS NECESSARY!

better then 2nd mezz for pre sale yesterday. Ps. Scalpers will not be selling them for 5 dollars day of show. You crazy.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:03 AM

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:13 AM

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:26 AM

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:30 AM

"better then 2nd mezz for pre sale yesterday. Ps. Scalpers will not be selling them for 5 dollars day of show. You crazy."

Actually you have no idea what you are talking about. You are a fucking idiot. You will be able to pull tickets and pit tickets week and day of show. Scalpers will have plenty to sell with not many buyers and prices will drop quick.

Moron

Let it be said that anyone who is surprised that tickets to Grizzly Bear were so easy to get is a dolt who clearly has no experience buying tickets and has no idea of the ticket game. Or the fact that this show is not a big deal at all and will not come close to selling out.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:33 AM

Radio City IS a sucker's bet, though. Unless you get ridiculously nice seats, don't settle for just anything you pull from Ticketmaster. The initial secondary market prices will be unreasonable but they'll plummet as the day of the show arrives. If you just want to be in the venue, you can buy tickets for a pittance. Even the nice seats will be a reasonable price.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:33 AM

whoever this guy is ^^^^ needs to chill the fuck out about Grizzly Bear and RCMH

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:36 AM

Grizzly Bear and Metric probably got pressured into booking an expensive venue that they shouldn't be playing and that makes me feel bad for those bands. I don't feel as bad for the fans, who apparently will eat that shit up regardless.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:42 AM

all this for Grizzly Bear? I didn't know that they had more than 1 song. Can they even play an hour?

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:43 AM

Who are these people that come on here and speculate about capacities and band's popularities? I came here for a link (Grizzly Bear and Ariel Pink), stupidly read some comments and am leaving. Get a life

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:45 AM

11:43 u are an idiot

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:47 AM

YTINA.SNIL would not be caught dead at Grizzly Mehr.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:54 AM

11:45 you came to a music blog for a ticketmaster link instead of just going to ticketmaster's site and typing in the name of the band????? Apparently the only one who needs to get a life is you my stupid friend.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:55 AM

11:55 with the zinger comeback!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:56 AM

"Even the nice seats will be a reasonable price."

They won't just be reasonable prices, they will be at most face value. Probably less because you will still be able to pull good seats day of show off ticketmaster

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 11:56 AM

Come for the ticket links, stay for the rousing conversation!

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 12:07 PM

don't buy anything worse than Row ZZ orchestra center, center right, or center left off Ticketmaster. just friendly advice. anything worse, you're paying too much.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 12:24 PM

yea but if you pulled pit tix you get to sit with Jay and Bey!

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 12:25 PM

frank ocean t5 onsale now

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 12:26 PM

Don't click these links, good ol BV will make some money off of this or get some irrational hook up from the artist's management and/or PR, and of course he will continue to not pay his contributors. How does that seem fair?

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 12:44 PM

I'd actually say settle for nothing less than orchestra 4/5/6 row TT.

To those who legitimately got tickets for the orchestra pit: enjoy sitting in a section with like 10 people in it max.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 12:46 PM

Oops, meant orchestra 3/4/5

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 12:46 PM

Who is this ticket vigilante? Why is he bugging out?

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 1:02 PM

I agree. Especially if you'll need to sell them, stay away from anything beyond ZZ Orch.

Will be my second time in the Pit at RCMH. It's a different experience. And the ushers are much nicer to you.

CC in 401-413 is really nice, too. Plenty of leg room and the sound is perfect.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 1:05 PM

animal collective is better

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 1:12 PM

below TT in orch 3/4/5 you're all set. above TT in orch 3/4/5 you're getting played and should wait till closer to the show to get better tix for face.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 1:42 PM

Basically just pay based on what you think the resale value will be on the day of the show. Do you think your tickets will be worth more than face value on the day of the show? If yes, then buy the tickets. Do you think your tickets will be worth less than face value on the day of the show? If no, then don't buy the tickets and wait until closer to showtime to purchase on the secondary market. Common sense.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 1:46 PM

It is common sense, except fans of bands who are headlining Radio City for the first time get starstruck by the venue and assume that just being able to get in is their best course of action.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 1:51 PM

Certain shows, like if it's my first time seeing a band I want guaranteed entry and buy in the on sale. If you don't REALLY care if you don't go then you should always wait till day of show. See also Bon Iver, Beach House, Neil Young.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 2:02 PM

eh bon iver tix i wouldn't expect to get for cheap, ever. same with sigur ros @ prospect.

beach house will be a diff story - i bet summerstage tix will be face day of.

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 2:28 PM

Sweet just scored 8 tix to mighty mighty bosstones. Email me 10xface@earthlink.com

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 3:14 PM

I think at the end of the day, the main question is what does this have to do with YTIN.ASNIL?

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 3:44 PM

I think at the end of the day, the main question is how much can i flip my frank ocean ticket for?

Posted by larry crowne | June 8, 2012 3:55 PM

@355 absolutelyyyy nothing haha

Posted by Anonymous | June 8, 2012 4:14 PM
