"in case y'all were wondering: the gza fucking killed the music hall of williamsburg tonight." - William Ruben Helms

GZA at Music Hall of Williamsburg - 6/14/12
GZA

GZA came to Music Hall of Williamsburg for two shows on Thursday (6/14) as part of Northside Festival, both of which were full performances of his classic album Liquid Swords, played with backing band Grupo Fantasma.

Spaceghostpurrp, who played his own show two days earlier in celebration of his new album, Mysterious Phonk, showed up as a surprise guest during GZA's early show and it was then that he was announced as the opener for the late show. Brownout (aka Grupo Fantasma's "psychedelic funk alter-ego") opened the early show.

That album was the jam back in the day. Weird to see him rap lines that aren't his own...

Thanks so much for the shoutout! That was a great show! Please feel free to hit me up because I think you were standing next to me or just behind me based on some of the photos you took.
