Chicago's Like Pioneers just released their second full-length, Oh, Magic, and will make their NYC debut soon with two shows: June 21 at Cameo with No Gold, Future of What, and Yoga Pose and June 22 at Pianos with Magic Magic, Sleepy Kitty, Intuitions, and Kelsey Byrne. Advance tickets for the Pianos show are available. If you're reading this in Chicago, they play a record release gig tonight (6/8) at The Burlington bar.

While it will be the first visit for Like Pioneers, most of the members have played NYC before, as the band features Bobby Gallivan and Janie Porche of Bound Stems and Jesse Woghin of Chin Up Chin Up, both of whom played their fair share of gigs here in the mid-'00s. All three sing lead on tracks on Oh, Magic and if you were a fan of either band, you'll definitely want to give the album a listen. Which you can do right now -- stream it in its entirety below.

FYI, that's the wrong website for Cameo--this is the correct one: And there are advance tickets for the show on the 21st as well, which is Future of What's EP release show:
