Morrissey Bobblehead

Tickets to Morrissey's October 10 show at Radio City Music Hall went on sale Friday and, no surprise, sold out pretty much immediately. It may also not be a big surprise to learn that the Moz has added not one but two additional NYC shows: October 12 and 13 at Terminal 5. Kristeen Young will open both. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 29 at noon. No ticket link yet but you can keep checking Ticketmaster.

We also have a pair of tickets to give away for each show. Details are with all tour dates, below.

---

======================
For a chance at winning a pair of tickets to see Morrissey at Terminal 5 on either October 12 or October 13: either tweet something that includes both @BrooklynVegan AND "Morrissey" and the date you'd like to go in the tweet, or send an email to BVCONTESTS@HOTMAIL.COM with the subject line "Morrissey" and which. Include your first and last name in the email as well as which show you'd like to attend. We'll pick a winner at random and contact them with more details. If you enter by email, it will not be shared with anyone else. Good luck!

Not that I'm not planning on going to this day of show at half face, but shout out to all the suckers that bought scalped tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:06 PM

didnt see this coming from a mile away. though perhaps i was wrong about SNL prediction, unless hes cool with two shows in one night.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:07 PM

lololololololololololololol eat your RCMH tickets

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:07 PM

Man, there are gonna be a lot of tickets floating around for these shows come October.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:08 PM

I don't know how he's gonna swing this tour now that he's also running Egypt

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:08 PM

great news, this show should be funnnn!

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:18 PM

Morrissey shows attract a lot of out-of-town tourists who'll be staying in Times Square, and they have no idea what a hole T5 is, so this venue actually makes sense in cash-grab terms. Well done, Morrissey!

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:30 PM

This is great T5 is a great venue!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:33 PM

I saw The Hives at T5 on Friday, and the shit was a lot of fun. I think that there is one loud fuck on here that bitches about T5 under multiple identities, and a whole lot of sheeple that go along to not get attacked by this angry troll. T5 is a good enough venue for a big crowd. No matter where you go, if it isn't like a Greek theater it's gonna be a little hit or miss for sight lines and sound.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:35 PM

Touche`, Morrissey, Touche` indeed.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:36 PM

Who put the Kaskade bobblehead on the Morrissey base?

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:36 PM

$10 tickets! can't wait!

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:36 PM

I've never seen Morrissey live. I have a question - If I go to one of these Terminal 5 shows, do you think one of Morrissey's gay fans will try to grab my ass? I won't like that. How do you prevent gay fans from grabbing your ass? It's not sexy, it's troubling.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 12:43 PM

For those of you who've never been to see Morrissey live, here's what you can expect:

The most overweight of his homosexual fans will make their way on stage, crying and dripping in sweat. While being escorted off stage he will blow kisses to Morrissey.

Fag hag female fans will toss roses to Morrissey throughout the performance (crying).

All others in attendance (many of which are crying) will shout "Morrissey" Morrissey" constantly between songs.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 1:01 PM

you forgot throught concert people will run up aisles and try to be near stage to hold morrisseys hand. and in the front all they want to do at every second is reach out and have morrissey hold their hand.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 1:04 PM

12:35: Couldn't agree more, especially about the "mob" part of it. A drawback though, is that if a show there is sold out, good luck finding a decent sightline if you didn't get there uber-early.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 1:14 PM

Is that a bobblehead of Luke Perry?

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 1:19 PM

if you stand on the second floor sight is pretty good, and you don't really have to deal with people pushing you around, unless you are near the bar

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 1:36 PM

12:35 - You went to go see the Hives at Terminal 5. Why would I ever listen to your opinion?

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 1:42 PM

Yeah 12:35 and 1:14, this is all the work of one person and sheep. Give me a fucking break you 2 losers. The place sucks. The sound sucks there. The sightlines suck. Get it through your fucking 2 thick skulls that this many people don't want to see something in a "good enough" venue which it is still very far from.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 1:44 PM

1:42/1:44 - wait more than 2 minutes before serial posting next time. But, thanks for proving the OP's point. Always can count on an idiot to prove his low IQ at every opportunity presented.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 1:51 PM

nope - No T5 never again, not even for MOZ

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 1:52 PM

I can't wait to score a ticket for $10 to laugh at Morrissey's fans all night long. That will be better than Amateur Night at the Apollo

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 1:53 PM

1:51 and in the same turn as your idiotic comment, you must be 12:35 or 1:14 or maybe all the same twat. Calm down loser. It is ok that you like the venue when most people don't. I'm sure you think a night out at Olive Garden is fine dining.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:03 PM

point proved

how's the weather out in Ames, Iowa 2:03? nothing like them corn-fed girls, huh?

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:09 PM

I have no dog in this race. But serious question. Anyone who doesn't like Terminal 5 when was the last time you were there? Although the sitelines are still the same the sound has greatly improved at the venue. So those of you who went in 2009 or when it opened I agree it sucked big time then. Now it is slightly below average but they get good shows there.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:12 PM

2:09 never heard of accuweather or weather.com?

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:14 PM

everyone i know hates T5, so 12:33 and 12:35 are the outliers. sightlines and sound are terrible for the sold out shows, which are usually way too crowded. the best experience i had there was for the jane's addiction show last summer because it was a promo event and had room to move/see/hear.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:16 PM

2:16 = hipster opinions don't count. you are the weakest link. b'bye.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:17 PM

LOL "everyone I know"
I can't believe that this was employed as an actual apology for one's own opinion.
Sheeple much?
Fucking IQ on kids is dropping, too much mercury too much Gameboy
Too funny

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:18 PM

2:16 You went to a Jane's Addiction show...why would I believe anything you said?

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:22 PM

2:16 cannot tolerate an opinion that differs from it's own. must be discredited. must not live.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:25 PM

Loving the angry "i don't understand why everyone hates T5" guy. His comebacks show why he likes the place. "you are from iowa" "You are a hipster, you don't count" "the sound is so much better now" Oh you witty clever son of a bitch.

Listen did it ever occur to you, mr dummy, that maybe you just have low standards or low quality control. That possibly many others around you do not settle for less than average. Ironically a place like T5 would probably do really well in Ames, Iowa. At the risk of sounding overbearing and pompous, here in NYC we have a somewhat higher standard of art and with some truly exceptional sounding venues, a place like T5 just does not cut it.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:26 PM

I have been to Terminal 5 recently and no the sound has not gotten better. It is still a fucking tin can not made for live music and feels as if you are being hit over the head. There are no dynamics in the sound there.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:28 PM

^But Roseland does? Nice try hipster

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:28 PM

Ok 2:26 HERE IS A QUESTION CLEAR AS DAY?! WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WERE AT T5?

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:29 PM

2:28 Jane's Addiction sounds like shit no matter what!

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:31 PM

2:16/2:26 is the Venus Williams of BV commentors. Still. Clinging. To. Old. Public. Opinions. Or, as the rest of the world calls it, a bully.

Tell me, do you feel big when you call other people names because your argument is weak? Does that make you feel somehow more right? Sad little man, sad little life.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:31 PM

"Loving the angry "i don't understand why everyone hates T5" guy"

Loving even more the angry mob that further proves the point of the poster you mention. Or maybe YOU are one person too? Who knows?

"At the risk of sounding overbearing and pompous..."

Just like saying, "at the risk of getting HIV, or some other illness from using this dirty needle right here...". Good work, trendie.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:31 PM

LOL someone admits publicly to going to see Jane's Addiction. This is like that scene in Pee Wee's Big Adventure when the tour guide says "There's no basement in the Alamo!" and everyone laughs at Pee Wee. You are Pee Wee, JA fan! Hahahahahahahahahaha

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:34 PM

2:26 = butt hurt

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:36 PM

^Yeah Janes guy is all high and might..if there was ever a joke of a band...Hives got more credibility then janes... i can't stand Navarooooney

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:37 PM

"Listen did it ever occur to you, mr dummy, that maybe you just have low standards or low quality control"

As opposed to Jane's Addiction? You are a fucking moron, aren't you?

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:48 PM

"2:16/2:26 is the Venus Williams of BV commentors. Still. Clinging. To. Old. Public. Opinions. Or, as the rest of the world calls it, a bully."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, now that made me laugh. Yes Terminal 5 is now the shining pearl of venues in NYC.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

loser, you cannot possibly make the comment you made above with a straightface. Forget that you have nothing to back it up with but still.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:50 PM

The level of reader comprehension on here is bad!

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:55 PM

^ what's the matter, get too butt hurt over in the Governor's Ball thread, so you had to run away over to here? You certainly are the most illogical idiot posting on BV today, I'll give you that! Nice job there! If you can get a declarative statement not stated about T5 out of a witty observation of your antiquated and tired opinions and bully tactics, you are dumber than I even gave you before.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:55 PM

2:50 = still butt hurt from the Governor's Ball thread? So you thought you'd run over here and insult intelligence with your wild illogical dissociations? Too funny! What are you, 12? You really need to take a remedial reading course and learn how to follow an argument logically.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 2:58 PM

Biggest Joke of the day is Jane's Addiciton show guy. Might as well like Fred Armeisan

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:00 PM

how to get $10 tickets?

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:01 PM

(quiet before the storm ... expect a good angry butt hurt 5 paragraph rant in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ....)

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:01 PM

2:55/2:58, you realize that calling out anyone, when you yourself are running through multiple threads accusing people of being all the same people and posting multiple times, is making you look like the biggest jackass of all.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:02 PM

^ Who are you talking to? I know, it must seem to you like we're all the same person. Must have been easy as pie to get your milk money too! LOL

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:05 PM

wait, am I gonna get my ass grabbed at this or no? i have to know

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:06 PM

*BV, the last safe haven for middle aged shut-ins*

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:08 PM

^believe me no one will be looking at you they will be looking at Morrissey

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:09 PM

Oh, somewhere in the pine barrens a 40-something guy wearing a 3-day-old t-shirt is sitting in a basement furiously typing away an expletive rant that he thinks is on par with Kaczynski's manifesto, ready to hit [Submit] after he re-reads it a third time.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:11 PM

a Beacon run would've been legitimate, but now I laugh

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:13 PM

^Tell me what it's like to be projecting your own image to the rest of us here.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:14 PM

nobody will "see" Morrissey, because the show's at T5. Morrissey fans should bring a book (and do their boozing pre-show somewhere else).

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:16 PM

Wow, carrot top (^) guy, you're getting a little slow on the uptake here today. Why not take the guy's dick out of your mouth and concentrate on one thing at a time? Just a thought.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:18 PM

^Except for the tool who loves T5 and is angrily posting on multiple threads trying to figure out which comments are all from the same people. He loves that damn place. It is the rest of us who are wrong.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:19 PM

^again, keep on thinking we're all the same person. we're totally laughing at you! Funny how you rant with vile anger, then project that onto others - for instance I as one of the posters here have no anger, but I am laughing at you and do feel a twinge of sympathy since you are clearly oblivious to how you are coming across (delusional, angry, discombobulated)

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:23 PM

butt hurt
... butt hurt
...... butt hurt
......... butt hurt

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:26 PM

^LULZ, yeah so obvious after that rant at 3:23. Poor sad pathetic creature is livid.

"we're totally laughing at you"=crying inside

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:28 PM

Ha totally laughing at your delusion and seething anger. You don't even know ;P

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:30 PM

Good thing I have no interest in Morrissey whatsoever.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:32 PM

^sitting in his mother's basement plotting his quest to be king of the internets.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:33 PM

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:52 PM

woah dude. woah.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 3:58 PM

Morrissey could totally kick you ass, hillybilly boy

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 4:03 PM

Who would win in a brawl? Robert smith or morrisey?

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 4:11 PM

4:05 my sister could kick your ass. I know that's right. But that's OK, the world needs shit sweepers too, so there's a place for you somewhere.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 4:19 PM

4:11: David Gahan would smoke both of them. Or Martin Gore.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 4:46 PM

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 5:24 PM

please please please close the comment board im begging you BV.....

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 6:15 PM

6:15 you kidding me? Then I'd have to sign up for cable.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 7:12 PM

Wow, lots of anger and venom over opinions about a music venue, and people's taste in music. I'd love to know what goes on in these people's lives that they get so worked up over trivial petty bullshit.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 8:41 PM

"if it isn't like a Greek theater it's gonna be a little hit or miss for sight lines and sound."

Yeah, 1/3 of the attendees not being able to see the stage is "a little hit or miss."

Idiot.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 11:50 PM

"Wow, lots of anger and venom over opinions about a music venue"

That's because people WANT to go to see the performers, but they can't stand doing it again because the venue sucks so badly.

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2012 11:55 PM

Morrissey is a little bitch for ending a show because ONE DUDE out of 8000 people hit him in the head with a beer bottle.

I mean that was a fucked up thing to do to Morrissey, but did he have to end the show?

You don't toss the whole apple cart because of one bad apple...unless you're Morrissey.

Posted by D | June 26, 2012 3:28 AM

11:50 you're the idiot and over dramatic...maybe 300 or so can't see and they are all the people who waltz in when the band gets on (or are really short)..that's your own fault..

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 7:30 AM

is the pw for wednesday also "morrissey"?

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 8:25 AM

Wow $85 after sc for T5 that is steep!

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 8:32 AM

"Wow, lots of anger and venom over opinions about a music venue, and people's taste in music. I'd love to know what goes on in these people's lives that they get so worked up over trivial petty bullshit."

That's the thing. They DON'T have lives. They froth at the mouth whenever someone gives a differing opinion about a fucking venue of all things. Guess what, if people have THAT much of a problem where they're going to burst a blood vessel in their head just because someone isn't bitching along the majority like it's the menstrual cycle of the century about a fucking venue, than your life is a whole devoid meaningless sham. Enjoy!

So, yeah. I agree with you 8:41. And no, I don't care if people want to harp on me, just because I have a differing opinion. The tough part is being able to disagree with someone in a more CIVIL manner.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 9:31 AM

@7:30 its wayyyyyyyyyyy more than 300 and ive been thur with plenty of time to spare and you can still get fucked.
