Terrible Feelings @ Death By Audio

Sweden's Terrible Feelings kicked off their US tour with a show at Death by Audio last night (6/19), playing alongside Death First, Plastic Cross and These Days. From the melodic indie of These Days, the night got steadily more punk as the clocked ticked on and surprisingly didn't change wholly in temperament when the Swedes hit the stage. Though their shiny and slickly produced new LP Shadows suggests polish, Terrible Feelings's live show is much more raw, energetic and primitive in all of the best ways. Comparisons to Masshysteri seem appropriate. Shame on me for not knowing better, considering some of the punk rock company they keep.
If you missed the show, make sure and catch this highly-energetic punk-garage/power-pop band at Acheron on June 30th with another punk-leaning bill: Mutant Genes, Nuclear Spring and Sad Boys.
