The Fixx

With all the bands aping the '80s synth sound, here's a little bit of the real thing. Moody new wavers The Fixx will release their tenth studio album, Beautiful Friction, on July 17. It was made with the line-up that gave us hits "Red Skies," "One Thing Leads to Another," and "Saved by Zero."

The band are playing a few shows this summer, including Sunday, June 10 at Knitting Factory and tickets for that show are available. All listed tour dates are below, plus a few classic Fixx videos.

My inbox has been inundated with promo material for this show. I can't imagine tickets are selling well for this.

"Stand or Fall" is another good Fixx song, they added the second 'x' to their name to avoid drug connotations, so I read on pop-up video back in the day.
