These United States

Rootsy Brooklites (and North Carolinians) These United States release their fifth album on June 12 and the self-tiled long player is being streamed the week prior to it's release and you can listen to it below. It features guest appearances from Deer Tick, Langhorne Slim, and Phosphorescent.

The band are set to spend the summer on the road promoting the new record including a stop at the Northside Festival, playing the Knitting Factory on Friday, June 15 with Grand Rapids (who play Big Snow tonight) and Your 33 Black Angels. Tickets are still available, or if you have a Northside badge you can use that but entrance is based on capacity.

your 33 black angels were pretty impressive last night despite the crappy sound.

love, the only guy there to see them.

the other bands were really good, too, seems like bands are having a lot of fun with this festival.
