The "Hives" never really "Broke out" in america. I do have an "itch" to see them tonight but I am "allergic" to T5. I am trying not to be irr"rash"ional but maybe I will go if I can "scratch" together a few bucks for the show!

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2012 9:55 AM

i would rather just buy them at the box office. dealing with people on craigs list is a major hassle.

This heat wave got me staying indoors blasting the air conditioner and counting chickpeas. I miss the winter!

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2012 1:05 PM

15 bucks on stubhub for the Hives. You'd be stupid not to go (if you plan on being out in the heat anyway).

If he continues as he has started, R.A. Dickey may very well be this year's NL Cy Young winner, coming off 2 consecutive 1-hitters and putting up a Koufax-like first half. So, I'm not so sure the Jank-mees are a given for a sweep.

Hives were fun, but seeing them live reminds me of one clear fact - that Europeans, especially Nordic Europeans, really are incapable of making music with any sophistication rhythmically or in wordplay (lyrics). Europeans create music like Ikea furniture - nice to look at but not built for durability over multiple uses.

That in mind, it was still a ton o' fun. Pelle really is a good front man, and a very energetic sympathetic crowd with a surprisingly low Crowd Douche Factor (CDF).
