i find it insulting that wilco would even set foot in that shit hole. pass.

terminal 5 is still better than places like summerstage with no ground incline - if you're more than ten people back at that place, you can't see shit. same with wburg park.

pp bandshell at least has the shell and general incline, but i'd still take t5. y'all need to calm down with the t5 hate; it's gotten better.

This is terrible. First Fiona Apple and now Wilco in this dump. And pricey tickets to boot.

scalping

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 3:43 PM

how shameful. Morrissey, Fiona Apple, and Wilco - all premier names in music, playing terminal 5.

STFU

Will Co. is nothing without Nels Cline. NOTHING I SAY! That is all. Vote medium-rare Billyburgers your choice of cut beef at this year's Favorite Brooklyn Vegan Burger Festival next weekend on Bedford.

Hmm. You have an interesting point there, my Anonymous friend. So I've decided to allow you time to contemplate that choice all on your own. I'm going to step out for a moment and go occupy Ms. Annie Clark.

I 7th the T5 hatred.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 3:57 PM

This is a top tier band that has toured relentlessly for a long time. They deserve a better venue like the Beacon or something.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 4:00 PM

3:40, you have gotten hold of some seriously good drugs.

i would rather see a show ANYWHERE ELSE than at T5.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 4:02 PM

I bought a ticket for $10 outside one of the "sold out" Wilco shows at Summerstage last summer.

"pp bandshell at least has the shell and general incline, but i'd still take t5. y'all need to calm down with the t5 hate; it's gotten better."

Now that was a good laugh. This comment brought to you by a Bowery Presents employee or the biggest fucking idiot on the planet.

"I bought a ticket for $10 outside one of the "sold out" Wilco shows at Summerstage last summer."

And you shall be able to do the same for these Prospect Park shows as well. Even before they added a Terminal 5 date. "Sold out" my butt.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 4:06 PM

Man, Bowery Presents is really going for it. 4 Bon Iver shows, 3 Wilco, 3 Morrisey, Two Door Cinema Club at fucking Summerstage (!?!), 3 Bon Iver dates.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 4:11 PM

Hammestein or the Beacon would have been better. T5 is a shithole.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 4:11 PM

beacon would be a great fit for them, shame

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 4:21 PM

""Sold out" my butt."

Oooooh, edgy.

T5 >>>>>>>>>>> McCarren Pool

Suck it.....

"I bought a ticket for $10 outside one of the "sold out" Wilco shows at Summerstage last summer."

You mean the ones in Fall 2011 where everyone was throwing their tickets away because it was raining? Cool story bro.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 5:01 PM

Wow, there is an intense T5 debate going on here.

BEACON

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 6:29 PM

Love the T!! Saw Jane's Addiction there, show kicked serious ass!!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 6:34 PM

just go on stubhub the day of for those shows. you'll get it in for practically nothing.

Posted by d | June 26, 2012 8:00 PM

Been in NYC for about six months now. I've seen shows at probably 10 venues and T5 or Bowery Ballroom has probably been my favorite, considering all the key factors (staff, bartenders, sightlines, sound, crowd, etc). Jane's sounded great here. Can't wait for Wilco and Afghan Whigs . . . wouldn't have those shows anywhere else, except maybe 9:30 club in DC!

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 8:17 PM

Would rather see the Ipods -- a band with real diversity from track to track.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 8:18 PM

Embarassed to admit that 8:18 made me laugh . . .

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 9:26 PM

Ugh, me too.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 10:46 PM

"Embarassed to admit that 8:18 made me laugh . . ."

That joke appears in almost every fucking article's comments section here. Relish the fact that you just laughed, because that shit gone wear out QUICK.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 11:09 PM

terminal5 is the worst fucking venue in the entire city. im literally kicking my own ass knowing im gonna pony up cash 4 mozz cuz im a nerd.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 11:26 PM

If The Decemberists can play 3 shows at the Beacon, and The National can do 6, then surely Wilco can play there too. Seems like a good fit.

Keep sucking that Bowery/T5 dick, losers.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2012 11:34 PM

I will be the first to admit I laughed at that iPod joke but by the fifth time I saw it, no more.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2012 12:17 AM

ahh Brooklyn show tickets on stub hub already half price! Im loving it!

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2012 10:17 AM

"Would rather see the Ipods -- a band with real diversity from track to track."

And they just keep getting better with each album too! Though, I've been waiting for the follow-up to 160 Gig for a long time...
