Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 3:36 PM

I said this once today already... Where is the news people care about????

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 4:21 PM

and it wasn't whitty the first time around.

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 4:23 PM

@4:21-no one cares what you think.

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 4:41 PM

In before the even bigger influx of dorky white trendy indie losers pretending to be black acting quasi-racist about whites, further affirming the hipsters' unwavering cowardly racism.

Boyyyyyyyyeeeeee!!!

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 4:41 PM

Ahh Flavor Flav, biggest sellout of all time?

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 4:41 PM

At least blacks in this city have calmed the fuck down enough that things like this are possible.

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 4:59 PM

Flava Flav must got hisself one huge ass cock to get all them white wimmenz

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 5:12 PM

4:41 what a marvel of a post! you have ridden a razor thin line between self-hating white-guilt ridden post-politically-correct hipster and full-blown douchenozzle sanctimonious fucktard. The genius of the wording, the pace and style, it is a work of art. A normal person would need to go through multiple stages of editing and re-writing to get the flavor exactly right, something you seem to have gotten right off the cuff. Very. Well. Done! Now, let us all know what shows you will be attending over the next 4 weeks so we don't ruin our summers having to actually deal with you in person.

McLaren Park Pool chaos

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 5:29 PM

KILL ALL THE WHITE PEOPLE !!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 5:46 PM

Why are La Sera booked for this?

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 5:58 PM

5:17 like a mouse to cheese you proudly out yourself as the people I very so describe. Well done.

And you don't have worry about having your summer ruined since I will only be attending shows with good music. Have fun revealing to people what a cunt scrape you really are. Thanks for the compliment, but I already know how perceptive and brilliant I really am anyway.

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 6:11 PM

Stop and Frisk will be in full effect that night.

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 7:54 PM

Wow a thread full of sanctimonious racist hiptards?! BV KEEPS IT REAL.

Posted by Hummusamungus | July 3, 2012 9:21 PM

Free container of grape soda to the first 100 attendees

Posted by Anonymous | July 3, 2012 9:40 PM

I don't see a thread full of racist comments, 9:21. You must be one of those idiots who likes things benign and delusional rather than truthful.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 12:37 AM

12:37AM = The BV Racist

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 7:47 AM

Go back to Ohio should officially be changed to go back to Nebraska with the amount of corn being flung on this site. Its about as entertaining as a a Mandingo party starring Reggie Watts and Janine Garofalo.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 8:10 AM

^I sense that your heart is in the right place but honestly...what does your comment mean? I'm totally lost on your analogy.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 8:39 AM

Nice to know I'm the BV Racist, 7:47. I suppose it's true that being black only counts if you say things that white liberals like. Oh, and FUCK YOU.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 10:47 AM

White liberals are the real racists. Even the black movement knows that. Really sorry lot, they are.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 12:34 PM

Now that the blacks got their own pool, can we get our own too? Maybe some place that has bouncers and keeps the riff raff out, some place where you can feel safe to leave you wallet by your sneakers.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 12:45 PM

LOL @ Marty Markowitz booking Public Enemy who have blatantly anti-Semitic and homophobic lyrics.

Good job booking these shows on Mondays when most people begin their work week.

This concert series is bullshit without Living Colour who are better than everyone playing it.

Posted by D | July 4, 2012 1:03 PM

12:45 - Where is this pool for black people that you are referring to? Are you referring to McCarren Park (or as 5:29 calls it "McLaren Park")?

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 2:29 PM

You people don't know shit about music. Living Colour are ok, but they couldn't shine Bootsy Collins' space boots. And I bet Vernon Reid would probably agree with me on that.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 2:31 PM

McCarren Park pool is an example of what happens when you give stuff to people for free. The trashiest people show up, disrespect the place, and ruin the experience for everyone else. At the very least, they should issue pool passes that can be revoked.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 2:35 PM

Yes, these are concerts targeted towards BLACK people. They are being held in Wingate Field, which is in a predominantly BLACK neighborhood (Crown Heights). Are black people not as entitled to entertainment as you? If you white fucktards don't like it, don't go.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 2:40 PM

I never thought I'd say this but can we return to the halcyon days of hummus, S p i n Dr., LCD and Daft Punk comments. I'm sick of the recent trend of BV being used as a soapbox for racist comments and debate.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 2:57 PM

Bootsy Collins > Pres Hall Jazz Band > Glen Campbell

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 3:09 PM

Amazing, King Jr clean up all the thinks... good music... we can show a example in the site http://www.icleanservice.com.br/limpeza-pos-obra.php

Posted by Limpeza pos obra | July 4, 2012 3:23 PM

"Yes, these are concerts targeted towards BLACK people. They are being held in Wingate Field, which is in a predominantly BLACK neighborhood (Crown Heights). Are black people not as entitled to entertainment as you? If you white fucktards don't like it, don't go."

Of course we're entitled to it. Problem is, our own people have been such violent imbeciles that very little of this could even occur until recently. Why you gotta give people shit when there's no one but our own people to blame for this?

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 3:42 PM

racism is cool.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 4:14 PM

Easy on the black guilt 3:42.

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 4:26 PM

Black guilt or Black truth, 4:26?

Posted by Anonymous | July 4, 2012 7:28 PM

8:39 is a slow adult.

Posted by Anonymous | July 5, 2012 12:37 AM

I would say black truth, but 3:42 sounds like a white person pretending to be black on a message board.

Posted by Anonymous | July 5, 2012 7:23 AM

"Its about as entertaining as a a Mandingo party starring Reggie Watts and Janine Garofalo"

12:37 - No...actually this statement simply makes no damn sense.

Posted by Anonymous | July 5, 2012 8:22 AM

2:57 is Taco Time for Mom & Dad

Posted by Anonymous | July 5, 2012 10:23 AM

10:23 - I'm 2:57 and I'm not Taco Time but he's the exact kind of intelligent, witty, genuine music loving reader that has long ago abandoned BV due to the unfortunate decline of the commenters on here. The very fact that you remember his handle tells me that you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Posted by Anonymous | July 5, 2012 11:27 AM

If white guilt sanctimony was water, everyone reading this thread would be drowned.

Posted by Anonymous | July 5, 2012 12:27 PM

Blacks are scary.

Posted by Anonymous | July 5, 2012 9:10 PM

I'm late too this conversation but by the way this free concert has been going on for over 23 years. So please. Blacks and others have attended this concert program at this park and itis still going on. And if you have a problem with it don't attend.

Posted by MaryAnn Rowe | July 6, 2012 11:28 AM

This is the worst of the concerts, instead of getting better its getting worst and the Caribbean night is now the second Monday, also you folks have shorten the series. What's next, no more concerts right? Real sad.

Posted by DT | July 16, 2012 11:31 PM

Public Enemy will bring the noise and kick out the jams... this will be one of the best shows this summer... nothing else needs to be said...

Posted by Anonymous | July 30, 2012 3:52 PM

ANYBODY went to see the Show ?
I could not get in 'cause i FAILED the Metal-Detector !!

Kristina

f you. Public Enemy taught me Hip Hop can be intelligent. Having worked with Chuck, he was one of the most well-spoken, dedicated, and intelligent individuals I have had the pleasure of being in a room with.

Talk about empowering your communities, your people, and your respective music genre!

hate all you want. PE will always have something positive to say. It's tragic that these sell-out dope pushers are rewarded in mainstream media, while PE still has to fight to be heard. NEW Lp out on I Tunes;
"Most Of My Heroes Still Don't Appear On No Stamp."

choke on your hatred, hipsters!
