Galway, Ireland's Dott are in NYC, playing a one-off show at Cake Shop tonight (7/9) with Melbourne, Australia's Rohypnotize, and locals The Hairs and Gondola. Not sure why Dott are in in America only playing one show but no need to look a gift horse in the mouth. This mostly female band (the drummer spent time in So Cow) describe themselves as "shiney, harmony driven garage pop" and that's pretty spot-on. Dott have some infectious tunes on their Button EP which you can stream below. "Leave Tonight" and "Let's Do It" are especially good.

All Dott tour dates (mostly in Ireland) are below, along with a video for "Let's Do It" and the EP stream.

Dott - 2012 Tour Dates
Jul 09 The Cake Shop New York, NY
Jul 21 TBC Dublin Fest Dublin, Ireland
Aug 04 Indiependence Music Festival Cork, Ireland
Aug 11 TBC Limerick, Ireland
Aug 17 Popical Invasion at Roisin Dubh Galway, Ireland
Sep 08 Harvest Moon Festival Schull, Ireland

Talk about a ghetto sofa...a mattress propped up against a wall. Way to put effort into that press shot kids.

Way to give a shit about something so inconsequential as a couch in a band's promo shot. Who's the guy who cares? Oh shit, there he is!

In case that link above doesn't work, try this. Super cool cover. Bummed I can't see Dott!

@Andrew 3:50 - Who's this bands U.S. publicist or overly protective nerd boy fan? Oh shit, there he is!

The irish have a great music scene. I think they will become really popular in the next few years.
