Frank Ocean

No openers or special guests at Terminal 5 last night (7/26), but Frank Ocean, backed by a full band, was pure sex. From start (with a Sade cover at 9pm) to finish (10:15), the entire three-tiered room was going nuts and sang along while Frank effortlessly played songs off Channel Orange, arguably the best album of the year. Banter included acknowledgement of all the "trouble" he's been causing as he fearlessly and honestly introduced "Bad Religion" which, preceded by "Lost" and followed by "Pyramids", had the energy level in the Hell's Kitchen venue at record levels. Trash Talk and Odd Future buddies like Tyler the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt (who sang at the LA show but not in NY) and Left Brain, cheered Frank on from the balcony stage right. He closed the show with a one-song encore of "I Miss You", leaving everyone (missing him and) wanting more. For that he was just on stage alone sitting at a keyboard.

Check out the setlist and some videos below...

Frank Ocean Bad Religion Live at Terminal 5

Frank Ocean

Frank Ocean - Thinkin Bout You 'Channel Orange Tour' @ Terminal 5, NY

Frank Ocean - Forrest Gump

Frank Ocean - I Miss You (encore)

After Terminal 5 the whole crew headed to Best Buy Theater where Tyler and Earl played a headlining 10:45 set after Raekwon. After that they all (Frank included) hit 285 Kent for the free, BrooklynVegan-presented Trash Talk show... but more about that in a second... HERE.

I'm sure lots of headband wearing sistahs came out to support Frankie since he came out amirite

Frank Ocean is too talented for Odd Future

Hipster trash

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 10:56 AM

uhm this show was incredible. nothing else to say.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 10:59 AM

Frank Ocean is talented but he still sucks.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 10:59 AM

album is great but "of the year" no

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:00 AM

^ yup sucks a little dick amirite

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:00 AM

That album was alright; but, it does get "of the year" - SNOOZER of the year. Lyrics are good, but man, the instrumentation is a bore. Already nodded off during each of my listen of that album - going for six already.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:02 AM

It's like you people have never fucking heard R&B before. Christ.

Stop hyping this douche up, much like the rest of Odd Future people will inevitably stop caring.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:03 AM

Did he do his old hit "I wanna get phys-i-cal, phys-i-cal, Wanna get phys-i-caaaaal"?

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:06 AM

laughing at anyone who still thinks frank ocean is riding on hype. at this point, it's a ridiculous comment to make.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:15 AM

Words and pics by Brooklyn Vegan?

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:16 AM

11:03 hit the nail on the head.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:19 AM

this dude is beyond corny but i am glad he exists. i cleaned up on reselling this tour. more than the weeknd. thank you dumb hypebeast kids with shitty tastes who've never listened to real rnb/soul music before. taking my girl to olive garden tonight!!!

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:19 AM

TOTALLY AGREE with 11:03....His lyrics seem like they came of out a marble notebook from a 10th grader's locker. This is ALL hype! R&B has been around for a loooong time, Frank Ocean is nothing special. Btw, Odd Future sucks and contributes NOTHING to hip-hop!

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:20 AM

Can't wait to see his show and have everyone around me sing his songs. do me a favor and stfu.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:20 AM

Seriously, who the fuck decided Frank Ocean belongs with indie bands? What made every indie blogger pick this guy and ASAP Rocky. If you are going to cover them, then you need to cover every other Hip Hop and R&B artist. They do not belong here.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:21 AM

Got to agree with 11:03

I mean the only ridiculous comments here are in the review. "Conquered" "pure sex" "album of the year"

Puhleeze. It is a decent album with a few great songs but as a whole does not stand up and much like this guy in a few years it will be forgotten

Seriously kids, this is milk toast R'n'B but I guess that is the state of modern music today.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:22 AM

"Conquered"? Oh brother...

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:26 AM

Forgot this gem "as he fearlessly and honestly introduced "Bad Religion"

LULZ. What a hero he is!

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:26 AM

I can't wait to start seeing Morrissey fans show up at Frank Ocean shows and blubber and cry and throw their soiled underpants up on stage

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:29 AM

limp at best, but you love it- good for you-knock yourself out. I'm not buying it.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:29 AM

"Tyler and Earl played a headlining 10:45 set after Raekwon"

After being heavily advertised for weeks as opener and still not selling it out.

Poor Rae.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:33 AM

Music is a young man's game. Haters gonna hate.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:37 AM

"Music is a young man's game. Haters gonna hate."

Speaking of the year, here you have it folks. A serious contender for most moronic comment of the year. You cannot possibly be this stupid right?

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:42 AM

Was Frank Oceans show at T5 good, "shore"! I can't believe he "waved" at me during the encore! The show was so good it "wet" my appetite for more. I feel like a "wennie" for saying it but Franks a real "dawg". I had to "Mustard" up the strength to convince people to join me at the show.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:46 AM

We've heard of R 'n B before. You can stop being the douche. Great album.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:46 AM

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:47 AM

11:46 = not this shit again

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:47 AM

I'm a fan of tyler, earl, and frank....but odd future fans are by far the worst fans to enjoy a concert with. kids were more amazed by the fact that fucking "taco" or whoever the fuck he is was in the crowd rather than frank being on stage. this is why i stick to festivals.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:48 AM

Except for Ocean, no black people were at this show.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:49 AM

lmao so true, i'm white and the first thing i said when i got there was "white people love frank ocean" lmao...odd future fans still suck.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:51 AM

Billy Ocean>Frank Ocean. That is all.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:52 AM

11:47 ha ha...pun guy is sadly the best jokes we got on this web page these days! I will take this dude over the hummus or lin dude.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:52 AM

11:52 = 11:46
Clearly

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:53 AM

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:54 AM

Who?

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:55 AM

11:53 sorry some people like smart humor not dumb meme's

by the way 11:46 + :06 would equal 11:52

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:55 AM

11:42 right here and I want to thank 11:37 for his follow up comment at 11:47(1). That second comment happily confirmed that the answer to the question wondering if you were really that stupid was yes.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:57 AM

"orange" you glad you saw the show? It wasn't as "fruity" as I thought it would be. The big "apple" pulled through. Some songs were very "mello"n during the show. He really is "grape" though. People were absolutley "bananas" during the show. I wish someone from Odd Future joined him on stage they would make a great "pear". He is really "raisin" his profile with these sold out shows.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 11:58 AM

LULZ
"smart" humor. NOT.
self-referential LOOKITMEEEE "humor"? YUP.

Frank Ocean RnB for white people that don't listen to RnB

Posted by AnonHUMMUS | July 27, 2012 12:00 PM

I'm 11:47, and that was the first post I made on this thread, tough guy 11:57. So, I guess you are a bitter old man, and dumb as fuck as well! Nice job, old stupid fuck - you got a double double of dumb!

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:01 PM

Spot on 12:00 (#2)

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:02 PM

No 12:00 (2) - that would be The Weekend.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:03 PM

^You can't a"pea"s everyone here. We got some "Carrot"tures here thats for sure. 11:58 needs to "veg" out. Maybe smoke some "pot"ato. If you are just going to go on here and "squash" someones fun its not "rice". I like pun guys humor..he probably reads the "onion". sometimes you just got to "lettuce" be. Even if it is "Corn"y!

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:03 PM

^ OK you win, I'll talk

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:05 PM

One word: Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:05 PM

"raisin his profile" ha that's funny!

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:07 PM

"Frank Ocean RnB for white people that don't listen to RnB"

Exactly. The industry used to "trick" white people into RnB by using white singers, but now they have to resort using to using the singer from some hipster band. Frank Ocean is an average singer at best. So many other better singers out there.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:17 PM

11:36/11:47 and your next comment at 12:01. Me thinks thou doth protest too much. Sureeee that was your first comment my dumb friend. You could not be more transparent in your stupidity. Hilarious though to read that last rant of yours. Now who is the angry guy you were saying? LULZ

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:21 PM

Blog hype and pitchfork reviews make so many artist now it's sad.
Without that no one gives a shit about Frank Ocean. None of my black friends that listen to hip hop and rnb care about Frank or Odd Future, ASAP or The Weeknd.

Is Indie RnB going to be the new trend. It's so easy to discover new music ppl are lazy making blogs tell them what they are suposed to like.

Posted by AnonHUMMUS | July 27, 2012 12:23 PM

Grape soda was sold out at concession stand.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:23 PM

name an r&B singer who released a better album in the past two years if you're gonna sit here and whine about real vs. fake r&b, jeesus.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:30 PM

It says Tyler was there, isn't he black? So I guess Ocean wasn't the only black person there.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:35 PM

Usher's new album is twice as good.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 12:38 PM

show was great. thats all.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 1:00 PM

^u are a clueless moron. That is all

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 1:01 PM

Who goes to these shows?

Posted by EarlGreyTea | July 27, 2012 1:07 PM

@12:30,

Your question is sort of stupid because what passes for R'n'B these days is pretty varid and not easily classified. I mean The Stepkids, Jamie Woon and Meyer Hawthorne are some people put in that category and all released better records than this in the last 2 years

Channel Orange does not even top Nostalgia.Ultra and that came out I think 2 years ago

But just to answer your question in a more traditional style let's see

Erykah Badu New Amerika pt 2
Corrine Bailey Rae The Sea
Sade Solider of Love
Charles Bradley No Time for Dreaming
Mary J Blige My Life 2
Raphel Saddiq Stone Rollin

There is more but that is just off the top of my head

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 1:11 PM

12:21 really is dumb as fuck. Amazing how the stupid never know when to stop.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 1:15 PM

I am embarrassed for BV for having posted this.

Conquer? He played an hour and 15 minutes. Wilco played almost twice that the night before.

Fearlessly? The guy introduced a song. What is their to be fearless about?

Effortlessly? More like uninspired.

Posted by Venkman | July 27, 2012 1:16 PM

The iPods play RnB--and so much more!

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 1:17 PM

Yeah, 12:21 e're all the same person. Everyone who is not you is actually one person. You are so dumb, I'm starting to think you are the Buckeye Shrimper. Whatdaya say, stupido, you like to suck a little dick and hang around other fat ugly sausages? You don't have to answer that - it's rhetorical.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 1:18 PM

Life cannot be all that bad for you.

(By the way, check out the above list someone made of great rnb records that have come out in the last year and tell me what the ages of those artists are)

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 1:46 PM

Frank Ocean is 80% hype 20% talent.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 1:50 PM

-Erykah Badu New Amerika pt 2 >> good but worse, came out over 2 years ago
-Corrine Bailey Rae The Sea >> good but worse, came out over 2 years ago
-Sade Solider of Love >> no, also came out over 2 years ago
-Charles Bradley No Time for Dreaming >> good but worse
-Mary J Blige My Life 2 >> no
-Raphel Saddiq Stone Rollin >> maybe. maybe. honestly, probably worse.

so yea, good job listening to 2 new/decent "RnB" albums over the past two years, both of which one could EASILY argue are worse than frank ocean's new LP.

and anyone saying nostalgia/ultra is better than channel orange is trolling, or so lost that it's sad.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 2:08 PM

To contribute to 2:08, Raphael Saadiq is not R&B. That is urban soul. Same with Erykah and Corrine (who leans toward alternative soul).

Other artists aside, I simply cannot understand how one can listen to the new Frank Ocean and not hear something incredible.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 2:12 PM

Again, totally serious. Is this Billy Ocean's son? They kind of look similar.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 2:13 PM

poor angry old Alzheimer's man accusing others (delusionally aggregated into one McGuffin, Alzheimer's style) as angry. LOL. Well I don't know about the other posters that you have assembled into you Emmanuel Goldstein but I am laughing my ass off at you and your fantasies. Truly, this is better than any wacky zany surrealist sit-com on cable TV. Keep going old angry man - you are priceless!

@2:08 I would love to just simply shut you down by saying you have no idea what you are talking about.

You could easily go look up on google instead of making yourself look like an ass.

Erykah, Sade and Corrine Bailey Rae albums all came out in 2010. It is now 2012. Simple math answers that question.

And they are all better than Channel Orange.

Also, apparently you missed the first part of my comment which said R'n'B these days is not such a simple classification. There are varying styles that are all considered in that genre.

Nostalgia.Ultra is much better than Channel Orange. Much.

I would say the sad troll on here is you. Next!

"For everyone who is writing that Frank Ocean is not talented let's see you write anything a quarter as emotive, powerful, and good sounding before casting your pithy stones. Just go back to masturbating and stfu."

You could not possibly be writing that comment with a straight face.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 2:54 PM

@249 it's july 2012, those albums all came out before july 2010, you ass. hence 'didn't come out in the last two years' some of us use more specific methods of keeping time than what year it is.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 2:58 PM

You know what's worse than a retard? An angry old man having Altzeimer's episodes, unaware of how lost and delusional and angry he is being! I must admit that I do go back and forth between feeling pity (like the kind I would have for a one eyed 3 legged squirrel trying to scare off a bear) and laughing hysterically. Why laugh? The delusion runs so hot, it is like one of those unintentionally funny bad movies. Sometimes they can be funnier than an actual comedy, you know?

"@2:08 I would love to just simply shut you down by saying you have no idea what you are talking about."

Oh for this one time I wish that I could actually travel through the computer network and materialize in front of you just to sock you in the fucking mush then piss on your face, you silly little bunny :-)

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:03 PM

"Erykah, Sade and Corrine Bailey Rae albums all came out in 2010. It is now 2012. Simple math answers that question."

Erykah album release date = march 30, 2010 = more than two years ago.

Corrine album release date = january 26, 2010 = more than two years ago.

Sade album release date = february 9, 2010 = more than two years ago.

I can't believe that I actually had to type that out.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:03 PM

I hope you had your mouth open well to catch his cum too, with the way you wrote that article. Jeez.

Lookit this assclown, spending all that time doing research to "win an internet argument". Yeah, right? - total fuckwad, I know! Watch, this guy will write back and say I'm a "retard" or "idiot" or some such, since his ENORMOUS ego cannot tolerate any opinions that differ from his (wrong) ones. Really predictable (and I emphasize DICK) LULZ

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:17 PM

Love love love the nerd with his comments at 2:58 and then at 3:03

He first comments telling people to name any RNB album that has come out in the last 2 years(not specifcally exactly 2 years from the date) that is better than Channel Orange

Then when someone does, he makes a mistake and says those albums came out over 2 years ago.

Then when the person points out that were wrong, the nerd looks up the dates and sees they technically were released over 2 years from the date of Channel Orange. Then he lists the actual dates and says he meant exactly and specifically within 2 years.

OH the troll nerd level on BV is wonderful.

But nice try kid to save yourself.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:20 PM

The angry ranting moron and the nerd techical troll would make a great threesome with their hero idol Frank Ocean

And you wonder why tiger's eat their young

"He first comments telling people to name any RNB album that has come out in the last 2 years(not specifcally exactly 2 years from the date) that is better than Channel Orange"

pretty sure that's what 'in the last 2 years' means....

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:24 PM

the guy with the random capitalized words is scaring me. i don't think i'm alone.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:25 PM

3:20, let me get this straight. Some guy on here asked you to name R&B albums that came out in the last two years. In response, you named a bunch of albums that came out over two years ago. To retort, he stated that those albums all came out over two years ago, to which you replied that 'in the past two years' does not mean 'exactly in the past two years.' And you are praising yourself as being correct, and the other person as being a incorrect.

I cannot stop rolling my eyes.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:28 PM

Having no dog in this stupid fight but responding to 3:24. Actually no. In most music discussion circles comparing records, the releases are referred to in the year they came out and not by the exact date. Unless of course specifically stated which was not done here.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:30 PM

The angry Alzeimer's geezer is scaring me, and I know I'm not alone

Think it's time for a time out, old man. Maybe some bananas for potassium?

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:30 PM

You people on here are mean and seem to enjoy tearing at each other. You are not the kind of people I want to interact with.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:32 PM

@330 i'd strongly. maybe if you are comparing the year's releases (i.e. 2009 vs. 2010), but not if you are talking about 'now vs. the past 3-4 whatever years' - in those cases you get more specific, or else you can end up lumping in 3 years worth of albums into a period initially meant for 2 years.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:32 PM

@3:28 you can roll your eyes as much as you want. Does not change the fact that the guy said a general in the last 2 years. Not exactly 2 years from the date of Channel Orange. Oh wait which date are we talking about anyway? You know because Frank released Channel Orange on ITunes a week before its official actual release date.

I mean cmon you jagoff. It is such a dumb technical point that the guy thinks he won on. You can bet the bank on the fact that he did not mean exactly 2 years from the date of the release. He first had no idea that those records listed came out in 2010. He thought earlier like in 2009 and then when called out on it he looked up the dates and saw his little technical win

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:35 PM

@335 hey guy, the dude said 'in the last two years' and you gave him things outside of that range. it seems like common sense to me. it was never a 'technical win,' just a straight win. you call it a 'technical win' so you can refer to your lack of insight as a 'technical loss.'

even if he had used the itunes date, you'd still be outside the range. by months.

the last two years = the last two years = the last 730 days = the last 17,520 hours. nothing vague or non-specific about that statement.

just like if i asked you what you did over the last two weeks, you wouldn't include something that happened earlier than 2 fridays ago. unless you're thick.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:38 PM

Black people scare me.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:39 PM

I'm sorry 3:32 that made little to no sense. You are incorrect. It is 2012 and the albums listed came out in 2010. That is in the last 2 years. Nothing wrong with that and usually that is how it is dicussed in most mature music critique circles. It is rarely tied to actual release dates unless specifically stated.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:40 PM

Dear Old Person,

Instead of arguing about dates and technicalities, why don't you simply provide examples that are actually from the last two years? It would go a long way.

Anonymous

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:42 PM

3:38 while i am pretty sure you are THAT guy, you are still an idiot.

Again nice try on the save, kid.

Technical nerd for the win!!

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:42 PM

this is @332. i'm saying i disagree, because if you use time frames like the one you used re: the 2 years argument, you can end up lumping up to 3 years worth of music (january-december 2010, january-december 2011, january-december 2012) into a time frame originally meant for two years.

in this case, you are lumping 2.5 years of music in a time frame allocated for 2 years (january-december 2010, january-december 2011, january-july 2012).

i thought this made sense.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:44 PM

3:42, I am 28 but I guess that seems old to an idiotic 16 year old like yourself

But wait which date are we referring to. The Itunes date or the actual release date.

Dumb ass, can't even see how stupid you are.

Oh and by the way since you are forgetting that there were other albums listed up there that made your "technical" release date criteria. And they are all better than Channel Orange. Sorry.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:46 PM

Nope still did not make much sense 3:34. Again, in most music discussion circles when discussing album merit by release years it is the time frame of January to December of that year. Simple, easy and clean. Unless of course someone asks in terms of specific actual dates. Which of course is never really done.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:49 PM

Dear Old Person,

Please leave BrooklynVegan forever. All you seem to do is talk about how albums that came out ~2 years ago are better than the content being discussed on this site. No one wants you here, and commenting on here only seems to bring you pain and frustration as evidenced by your erratic language and sporadic use of capitalized terms.

Sincerely,
Life

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 3:52 PM

@349 okay, this is @332/@344. so if someone asks you about things that happened 'in the last 2 years,' you just overlook january-july of this year, and go right to 2010 and 2011? it just doesn't make sense! you have to be trolling!

Posted by 332/344 | July 27, 2012 3:52 PM

Posted by 'talpa goer | July 27, 2012 4:02 PM

@3:32/3:34
It's called being general. Most people do it and I'd bet my life on the fact that you do. If someone asked you today in person to name the best thing you ever did in the last 2 years, unless you are a fucking total geek you are gonna think about things you have done in 2010 and 2011 and up to now.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:04 PM

you shouldn't get so technical over "the last two years". anything in 2010 should count. either way, please stop arguing over it.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:05 PM

you do realize that no one is trashing his record except you (old guy), right? old people hate new stuff.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:05 PM

@404 i'd probably think of stuff i did in between now and two years ago (aka july 2010)

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:10 PM

Bahahaha, yes of course you have to be right. All the comments trashing Frank and the record made before the first one i made at 1:11 are all me.

Yes it just has to be.

Isn't it funny how little 16 year old's are so fucking stupid these days. They will be spoon fed any trash from Pitchfork and blogs that say something is good and run with it. Then call anyone who has the good sense to know the difference old.

Cmon kid,for real here, i know you don't even know how to use your dick yet but can you even grasp how calling someone who is 28 old makes you look absolutely ridiculous and defeats anything you might say.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:13 PM

@4:10 you are lying through your teeth but in the oft chance you aren't. Oh boy you must be the life of any party.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:15 PM

I'm sick of you swiveldicks, going back and forth on the same tired carousel. Fuck beef.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:21 PM

@415 it's just the way my brain works, honestly. i'm sure there are others that perceive time that way.

you must be the life of the party. i bet your dickhead remarks get even more awesome as the night goes on.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:21 PM

really though, this is @410. if someone asks me what i've done over the past two years, my brain goes like this:

-it is summer now
-i think back to summer two years ago
-i think about the things that i did since summer two years ago
-i tell them to the person

am i literally the only one who does that? if so, that's cool i guess. i just think it's odd that no one else does.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:22 PM

It is kind of odd. I mean when do you decide when summer begins. Do you go by the calender date of when the first day of summer is or do you just pick a month.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:27 PM

I was among the conquered last night. I had goosebumps the entire show! In 20 years, if Brooklynvegan still exists, I will talk about this show, and people will call me old, and others will say I saw history. I know which of them will be right.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:31 PM

4:10 I am gonna hang you with your own rope and end this discussion.

If when someone asks you about what you did the last 2 summers, unless you think exactly what you were doing from June 21 2010 to the end of that summer and June 21, 2011 to the end of that summer and this year starting June 20,2012 then you are generalizing and your argument made up to now holds no water

End of discussion. Goodnight Irene.

(im dying for him to say he immediately does think to those dates thinking there would anyone who would believe that)

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 4:35 PM

Scary Geezer is definitely a "seasoned citizen". Alzheimer's explains a lot of his irrational rage and blind anger, but his utter inability to let go of minor points that don't add/subtract from the argument tell me that he may also be a sociopath or suffer from BPD as well. when someone asks me about summer, i usually think memorial day to labor day. inaccurate, but i'm probably not alone in using the holidays as boundaries for summer. just saying - even the "black and white" can be gray since it's really not worth arguing about.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 5:03 PM

Thanks for confirming 5:03 - it's sociopath. Have fun with your life, or what's left of it. But, I kinda see a few short years of increasing confusion and anger for you as the disease takes control and you slip away from the rest of us. Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2012 5:07 PM

@5:03 I would agree with you but it is still not technically specifically exactly correct. Unfortunately to Mr. tech nerd you would be wrong. I think the point has been made. We all generalize and unless exact specifics are made, the general holds true.
