Bowery Presents will add a second night but I think people probably get their fill with the Roseland shows.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:05 PM

Presale details?

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:06 PM

Would like to see the iPods -- a band with real diversity from track to track! ; )

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:16 PM

Are his shows all ages? Would his show be appropriate for an 11 year old?

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:16 PM

Presale is probably with the Third Man Vault subscribers.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:16 PM

Bring your 11 year old if he want's his doors blown off. It's a clean, hard rocking show.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:24 PM

CHIXXX >stupid jack white

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:26 PM

How does one get one's doors blown off?

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:26 PM

^By going to a Jack White show.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:33 PM

YOU'RE ONLY SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE BLODY DOORS OFF!

Posted by Michael Caine | July 31, 2012 6:35 PM

WTF, 6:16? Is this what it's come to now? Former White Stripes fans are now with 11 year old child? Way to make me feel old.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:40 PM

Webster>Roseland>Radio City all within a few months of each other. BP may be biting off a little more than they can chew. Actually probably not. This show is for the dummies who are late to the party

Even more glad now that I saw the Webster show.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:41 PM

6:41 - Luckily for Bowery Presents, as PT Barnum famously said, "There's a sucker born every minute"

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:43 PM

Does anybody know presale password?

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:56 PM

Presale password is Hummus.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 6:56 PM

The majority of people at this concert will be "rock dads" in their late 40s and 15 year old girls who shop at Hot Topic. WTF happened to the White Stripes of my youth?

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 7:02 PM

this is great news for people that don't know how to like music

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 8:41 PM

pretty confident Jack White at Radio City is going to be rad

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 9:36 PM

Why do you morons go on and on with your idiotic hummus/Daft Punk/frohawk/ipods jokes? They never are or were funny. Does hipster = stupidity? Are you trying to prove how dopey you are? Accomplished! It's bad enough that most of the people who comment on here know close to nothing about music. Music, not how cool a band is or how over a band they are.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 9:37 PM

"this is great news for people that don't know how to like music"

Please explain this profound statement!

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 9:59 PM

6:40, maybe the guy is bringing a date?

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 10:28 PM

How can White Stripes fans be old enough to have kids if they aren't old enough to remember Jon Spencer Blues Explosion?

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 10:50 PM

$90? hahahahaha

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 11:50 PM

$90? Totally worth it! It's 2012. That's not a lot of money. Jack rocked MSG - he'll do the same at Radio City!

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 12:08 AM

fuck a bunch of jack white

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 12:23 AM

Cut it down to $50 please.

Its a fucking cover act of the bands he just left behind to rot.

"$90? Totally worth it! It's 2012. That's not a lot of money. Jack rocked MSG - he'll do the same at Radio City!"

Anyone want to guess who posted this? A bowery presents employee? A person clearly not in touch with reality? A total fucking idiot? Or all of the above?

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 2:26 AM

All of the above. Unlike the Webster/ Roseland shows these tickets will be cheap come show time. Most of NYC has had the chance to see him at this point.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 8:23 AM

Actually laughed at 6:16.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 8:25 AM

presale code is JACK

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 8:59 AM

PW = Jack

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 8:59 AM

Where is the lin san ity guy?

Really missing the over posting..

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 8:59 AM

Where is the hummus guy? Really missing a use for this pita triangle.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 9:17 AM

"Most of NYC has had the chance to see him at this point."

you are not very good at math. webster holds 1,500. roseland (twice) holds 3,200. That means that approximately 7,900 people have seen him in new york this year. last time i checked, new york city has a pretty darn high population.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 9:49 AM

hey i didnt get shit!

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:01 AM

Well that was interesting.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:01 AM

it has really become a fucking joke trying to get tickets to shows in this city. the fucking scalping industry is so out of control, it's sickening.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:02 AM

y'all should like keep tryin and stuff

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:06 AM

and people thought it would be easy to buy these tickets...

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:06 AM

Ok so did that presale have 5 tickets?

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:07 AM

if you were a real fan, you would've gotten tix through the vault presale. don't complain.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:08 AM

had 2, gave them up, they sucked.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:10 AM

fuck you real fan...Go spend however much you do to be Jack white's little bitch.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:11 AM

Must have saved all the presale tix for idiots willing to be in the Jack White fan club.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:11 AM

haha you know someone's upset when they start and end their post with a no no word

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:13 AM

They'll add second show the next night anyway:)

I mean if Bonny Iver can play 4 nights @ Radio City, Jack will play @ least 2.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:15 AM

jack white actually pulled out the first 25 rows and turned it into a GA standing section. tickets for that section are available via balloons that will be released from the top of the empire state building on september 9th at 9:99am (10:40am for the normals).

upon claiming your ticket, you will also receive one free scrumdiddlyumptious bar.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:23 AM

There are two open weeks for JW on either side of this date. I bet there will be 3 or 4 shows total.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:25 AM

daddy, i want an oompa loopma now!

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:26 AM

Is it bad that 6:16 actually made me laugh?

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:26 AM

the vault is a classic fleecing of fans if i've ever seen it. fuck that shit.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:31 AM

"you are not very good at math. webster holds 1,500. roseland (twice) holds 3,200. That means that approximately 7,900 people have seen him in new york this year. last time i checked, new york city has a pretty darn high population"

Roseland is 3500, Webster is 1400. I think the person meant that those in NYC who are interested in seeing Jack White probably got their fix. Nevertheless, I expect a second date to be added. I mean, this is the promoter that booked fucking Metric and Grizzly Bear at Radio City after all.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 10:45 AM

Question..will New Order add a second date?!

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 11:01 AM

Honestly, people still want to see him AGAIN after he's played so many shows in the city this year. Yawn.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 11:09 AM

He is definetely adding more shows....there is nothing scheduled at Radio City for the week after his concert....

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 11:44 AM

"$90? Totally worth it! It's 2012. That's not a lot of money. Jack rocked MSG - he'll do the same at Radio City!"

Anyone want to guess who posted this? A bowery presents employee? A person clearly not in touch with reality? A total fucking idiot? Or all of the above?

1)I wrote that post and I can assure you I am none of the above.
2) No matter where he plays and how much he charges, someone on here will whine like a little baby. They always do.
3)Jack White is great live. Many of the people who saw him at the smaller venues will want to go see him again.
3)Ticket prices are set by supply and demand. If they sell all 6,000 tix, the prices are not too high.
5) If $90 is a lot of money to you, I suggest learning a skill and making more money. You are the one who is out of touch.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 11:57 AM

thank jesus for jack white

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 1:08 PM

Beetlejuice?

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 1:24 PM

11:57 is a trust fund brat. 11:57 should also not take things so personally.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 2:43 PM

Maybe people want to see him again and again because he released the album of the year and is one of the ten greatest songwriters of all time.

Oh, and hummus, Linsane, hummus, hummus, hummus, iPod.

Posted by Seventh Son | August 1, 2012 2:46 PM

"one of the ten greatest songwriters of all time"

Has the apocalypse come and I was asleep? Did the inmates take over the asylum already? Who gave this assclown permission to post such nonsense?

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 2:56 PM

"Maybe people want to see him again and again because he released the album of the year and is one of the ten greatest songwriters of all time."

Idiot. He's one of the eleventh greatest songwriters of all time. Get it straight.

Also, please list the aforementioned "greatest songwriters of all time." TIA.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 3:04 PM

Really, guys. If you are over 22-years-old, and $90 is a lot of money for you, then you need to seek out better career choices. You work so you can make money so you can afford the things you want in life.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 3:10 PM

still waiting for all BV readers to realize that face value alone is completely irrelevant; all that matters is the ratio between face value and secondary market value.

if that ratio is greater than 1:2, then get in there and buy. if it's lower, don't buy and take a risk day-of-show.

face value alone is completely irrelevant.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 3:17 PM

Honestly 11:57, you are a clown and an idiot no matter which one of the above choices you are.

go away stupid.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 3:18 PM

Oh and by the way clown 11:57, Jack White did not rock MSG. The White Stripes rocked MSG. Not the same thing at all.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 3:19 PM

Roseland is less than 3200, way less. Hammetstein is a little bigger than Roseland.
Webster is 1200 at best, incl the people who won't see shit.
Just to update all the math experts.

Posted by ME | August 1, 2012 3:58 PM

Dylan
Lennon McCartney
Jagger Richards
Springsteen
Simon
Holland Dozier Holland
Young
Prince
Reed
Davies
Wilson
Marley
Bono The Edge
Yorke Greenwood
Berry Buck Mills Stipe
Tweedy
White
Wonder
Strummer Jones
John Taupin

Alright, Top 20 but rising. He's going to end up having written or co-written more than 100 good songs (he's already well above 50), and there are probably less than 5 artists on that list presently.

Posted by While you're laughing at me... | August 1, 2012 4:22 PM

3:17, even that ratio is kinda irrelevant. What it really comes down to is supply/demand. That ratio can sometimes by skewed by various factors. Right now, the secondary market could be double or even 10x the face. That could all change if Jack White adds 3 or 4 shows.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 4:37 PM

But as of right now, the demand is high and the supply is low. 10x face for fronts, easy. 1.5x face to get in the door.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2012 4:45 PM

"Really, guys. If you are over 22-years-old, and $90 is a lot of money for you, then you need to seek out better career choices. You work so you can make money so you can afford the things you want in life."

Best comment on BV ever.

- Doctor Venkman

Posted by Venkman | August 1, 2012 4:50 PM

Thank you Venkman. As you post some of the dumbest comments on this site, your appreciation of that comment tells me I was spot on in thinking that guy is a clown idiot.

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2012 2:02 AM

Venkman - you are a moron. At 22 years old, people are just getting out of college. Last I checked, people were coming out of college to find no jobs. And those who are getting jobs right out of school are probably averaging about 30k a year. I would imagine that $90 is a lot for those people.

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2012 12:41 PM

...unless you are a trust fund brat or live at home.

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2012 12:51 PM

HUH?

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2012 10:02 AM

I worked through college, thus having money as a 22 year old. I wasn't a lazy POS like the rest of you.

Posted by Venkman | August 3, 2012 10:05 AM

wow...did anyone get tickets this morning?

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2012 10:05 AM
