Animal Collective

Animal Collective revealed the first and super distorted lead single for their new album, Centipede Hz. It's called "Today's Supernatural" and you can stream it below. The track was premiered last night on Animal Collective Radio, a new weekly online radio show, which airs every Sunday at 9PM EST, presented by Domino and Creators Project. Each show is hosted by a different member of Animal Collective. Last night it was hosted by Panda Bear, and in addition to the premiere of the new single, his show featured guest DJ sets by Black Dice, Sublime Frequenices, and Haunted Graffiti. If you missed last night's show, it will be streaming on loop for the 24 hours following its airing.

As mentioned, Animal Collective will support the new album on a tour with Micachu & the Shapes which hits NYC on October 5 at Williamsburg Park. Tickets for that show are still available.

Stream "Today's Supernatural" below...

Stop trying to be tough by screaming. Sounds god awful. What happen to the good old fashion 3 piece harmonizing? I understand they're trying to branch out, but c'mon dudes, get back to the basics. That's what ya do best.

The Kings of the North Williamsburg Hummus scene return with another album perfectly scored for dipping baby carrots into robust platters.

speaking of hummus.. when are they gonna open a 'the hummus place' location in wburg or greenpoint already. someone should start a petition.

^ oasis on north 6th street has the neighborhood covered, and although I do enjoy their hummus, I do find that their usage of low grade corn oil instead of olive oil is a bit of a turn off.

Posted by Anonymous | July 30, 2012 9:47 PM

Artisanal hummus platters are also rumored to exist somewhere in the lorimer street area... Can anyone confirm?

Posted by Anonymous | July 30, 2012 10:01 PM

I agree... Oasis is a poor quality hummus. However, it is better then Maoz. (which is more suitable to use as a wood glue)

Ever notice that the trendy scarves shit out their little faggoty "sausage" "jokes" in the metal threads, but have nothing but even more faggoty hummus comments that are supposed to be "clever" (complete with a virtual douche chill inducing high-five via comments section)?

Stay fruity, trendies.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2012 10:54 AM

^ Hummus does not discriminate. It is enjoyed by all walks of life. I have seen many "sausages" in line at Oasis anxiously awaiting their side order on numerous occasions.

Even your scarf boyfriend loves bloody steak. So bloody, it moos a scream while bitten. Yummy!

The Hummus Undergrond is an equal opportunity employer. We have seen first hand the power of the Phyto-Nutrients enhance hip-thrusting dance moves in both indie, metal, and hip hop.
