Grave Miasma / Dead Congregation at Martyrdoom 2012

The inaugural Martyrdoom festival at Public Assembly on Saturday (6/30) was a resounding success, showcasing 11 death-metal-tinged bands hailing from Greece to the UK to New Jersey. Kicking off at 8PM and coming to a close shortly after 2AM, the two-stage fiesta featured rare appearances from Cruciamentum, Dead Congregation, Grave Miasma, Sanguis Imperem, Encoffination, Father Befouled, Prosanctus Inferi and Anu, as well as apperances from Evoken, Kommandant and Perdition Temple.
The show was one of two last weekend for Dead Congregation and Sanguis Imperem, who also played Saint Vitus on Sunday (7/1). Lots more pictures from Martyrdoom -- plus a few videos -- are below.

Wait, wait. Am I too late? Did the guy who gets worked up over the "sausages" start commenting yet? Yup, looks like he did. In a few more posts I wonder if he'll start telling his hilarious AIDS jokes, all the while calling everyone else gay, stupid and oh yeah, gay. What a champ!

12:38 who is also 12:46 who is also 1:15, you don't actually talk to people in real life, do you?
Maybe if you did your comedy act wouldn't be so lame. It's the same set up, with a slight variation punch line. You've brought me to the brink of laughter.
Get out there, talk to people, and work on your act, then come back and make us laugh.

1:04 - I think that you are mixed up. The AIDS joker is a hipster that poses as a sausage, who always name drops Bradford Cox/Atlas Sound and comments on scarves, then of course follows with a string of AIDS/HIV/AZT "jokes". A real treasure of a cum stain, that guy.

C'mon, does anyone really think sausages come to this site? There are tons of pro sausage sites that cater to this music, much more in depth than BV does. If anyone thinks they're really pushing sausage buttons on here by insulting metalheads you're naive.

12:46- Nice specific reference there. Further proof of the true bridge and tunnel nature of hipsters. Well done.

People may make fun of these bands, but you gotta give em credit for their dedication to dead languages.

Mushroomhead was so awesome! I didn't even know they were going to be there! I'm a little disappointed that they didn't play Solitaire Unraveling though. Oh well. You can't always get what you want, I guess.

Yes thats true metal heads have no sense of humor usually unless its about violence.
Isnt there metal heads of that ilk at the Charleston on Bedford?

yet again BV has managed to take the most boring photos imaginable of this amazing event. Good thing their photographers are so obnoxious at shows getting these lackluster pics.
