Islands at Culture Shock 2012 (more by Kellyann Petry)
Islands

Islands will be heading to Europe for a tour this fall, but before that they'll stop in NYC for a show at Littlefield on September 14. Tickets for that show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.

In related news, Islands frontman Nick Thorburn (aka Nick Diamonds), who was one of the co-frontman of The Unicorns, took to twitter this past Saturday (6/30), for a quick little random rant, during which he mentioned "The Unicorns will never EVER reform," after saying, "The Unicorns could have done something amazing." He followed these with saying "The sophomore Unicorns album was gonna be a board game" and "Most tweets are just cries for help."

All dates are listed below, along with a video.

That's a shame. The Unicorns were a great band. Great memories of seeing them at the Asbury Lanes!

I was born a Unicorn.

Press release: My cousin Jimmy's cover band The Rockin' Lifeguards that played that bitchin' party on Labor Day in 07 will NOT be reuniting. They've moved on. Billy has two kids. Johnny is on the night shift working mall security and Alex went down to the Bahamas to open a snorkel rental hut, so put the dream to rest, you are not going to see The Rockin' Lifeguards play that sweet-ass cover of Livin' on a Prayer straight into Bawitdaba that you've been waiting for for the last 5 years. Move on.

The unicorns were similar to Hoops and Yo-Yo.

Never heard of them, so thanks Mr. Diamond for enlightening me.

I'm not a fan of yours anymore.

On my tab, I almost thought for a second it was an entry about Nick DiPaolo.

I'm disappointed.

people jizzed all over it for a year and then forgot it existed, like most indie bands

Posted by Anonymous | July 2, 2012 5:42 PM
