Os Mutantes at Webster Hall 2010 (more by Ryan Muir)

Os Mutantes were supposed to have played The Well this past weekend (7/28) and an Other Music in-store on MOnday (7/30) but canceled due to "artist illness." Good news: the Brazilian band have rescheduled their NYC shows, now playing two dates at Le Poisson Rouge on December 8 and 9. Tickets to both shows go on sale Friday, August 3 at noon.
No other dates to report at the moment.

That is hilarious. They cancel at "The Well" because of "illness" and reschedule for a different venue?
I guess given the quality of the people running "The Well", that getting their first show canceled and then rescheduled elsewhere is about par for the course.

Nice cover up. No shit that tickets to a venue in the ghetto were not selling.

I would prefer seeing most bands at a venue like The Well over the kind of velvet rope VIP bullshit that goes down at le poisson rouge. I've been to multiple shows there where I got there on time/early to see an opener and they made TICKETHOLDERS wait in line for 30 min for no apparent reason. When you finally get inside, place is empty. But I admit, the Well was probably not a good fit for Os Mutantes. I'd figure them to be more of a Highline Ballroom kinda act.

They should just go ahead and rename The Well The FAIL right about now. Who among us is surprised that a bunch of hipster fucks can't get their shit together?
