Youth of Today at Acheroon, January 2012 (more by Jason House)
Youth of Today

The East Coast version of the Revelation Records 25 lineup officially exploded with the announcement of 8 new bands (!) to their lineup which happens October 11 - 14 at Irving Plaza in NYC. Joining the previously discussed Chain of Strength, Into Another, Bold and Texas is The Reason will be appearances from Youth of Today, Supertouch, Underdog, Iceburn, Battery, Shai Hulud, Gameface, and Mouthpiece. No word on who else will be in the lineup, or when we can expect tickets to surface but we'll keep you informed.

As discussed Quicksand is not in the lineup so far. But they also aren't in the House of Vans lineup either.

Flyers for Revelation Records 25 are below.

I guess this will be nice for all the little new jacks who were watching He-Man and listening to Michael Jackson when these bands were playing shows..

40 year olds who never grew up are stoked!

Why does 8 new bands deserve a (!)? These shows are four nights. They have to fill it with a bunch of bands, right?

Posted by Anonymous | July 6, 2012 4:34 PM

this will be filled with kids who will go every night and try to understand what it was like back then ... but i'll be honest it's about the same as when you see the Yankees old timers day it's nice to see everyone back in uniform but.. you know...

"Awesome, Shai Hulud! ...and then like 20 shitty bands cashing in!"

I'm sure you simply meant 21 shitty bands.

NO FARSIDE, NO CARE

i can remember better shows at the Anthrax where it wasn't uncommon to see Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits,Sick of It all, Supertouch all on one bill ..

I hope the show draws a healthy chicken hawk to twink ratio so there won't be fights.

I'll be the guy with the pacifier and the glow sticks. Hit me up.

5:36: Are you kidding? The fights are the best part! Well, at least the relentless beatings from the former to the latter there.

Posted by Anonymous | July 7, 2012 1:46 PM

5:03, totally agree. Irrelevant Records Anniversary, why won't these bands go away. Have to get Harley involved I guess.

4:43, TRUE!

BURN? i really wish. don't know if they got it in them to hit the stage together after, what? 15 years? internal differences might discourage the reunion of BURN, but let's hope. Into Another is fantastic, cant believe that got pulled off! would love to see Quicksand, but i heard they're not playing (although i heard about a free show in nyc theyre playing, most likely will be at that). Chain, Battery, all those bands, awesome, but if Chaka is the frontman of a certain band on stage, i'm losing my mind.
