Suicide back in the day

Le Poisson Rouge will seem a little like Max's Kansas City (30-some years ago) this fall when NYC punk (and post-punk) legends Suicide and Bush Tetras co-headline the place on November 29. Tickets for that show go on sale July 17 at noon.
Not much else seems to be going on with either band, tour-wise. Suicide play the OFF Festival in Katowice, Poland (Aug. 3 - 5); and Bush Tetras (who lost bassist Laura Kennedy last year)' only other upcoming date is at the Echoplex in LA on November 2. A couple classic clips from Suicide and Bush Tetras are below.

I've actually seen Suicide live (in 93 or 94 when they toured with Rollins) and they were kind of underwhelming. Hopefully it will be better now, and I will be there to see, but I may be the only one posting on this thread that actually has seen them live. That is all.

The reunion shows from ca. 2000-1 were fascinating but awful.

3:14: Probably underwhelming because it was with Rollins, and the two most likely don't mesh to well.

ayo...imma be real with you right now...i saw suicide open for mgm fuckin t at webster hall about three or four years ago...remember it was around halloween? they dressed up as some mariachi type shit? anyway...like i was sayin, suicide...at first, i thought they sucked...straight trash. but then, i discovered just how influential they were. and it took a year or two later, but i started thinking about how strange they were on stage. and i kinda wished i had appreciated them more when i saw them for the first time. so long story short, i'm coppin my fuckin tickets to LPR asap, and seein a band that influenced the masses we know today. you goin cuzzo???
