Magnetic Fields at Beacon Theater in April (more by Chris La Putt)
Magnetic Fields

The Magnetic Fields released their solid new album, Love at the Bottom of the Sea, this past March and supported it with a tour which hit NYC for two Beacon Theatre shows in April. The band have recently added a few more dates to go down this fall. None in NYC but they'll be nearby when they play Helsinki Hudson on October 25 in Hudson, NY. Tickets for that show go on sale today (7/31).

A list of all dates and the video for "Andrew in Drag" below...

Typo above: the Hudson show (per the venue's site) is listed as Oct. 25, not Oct. 5. The date list looks correct, but the first paragraph is not.

The most pretentious and ponderous live music show out there right now. Avoid at all costs.

Love this band on record but the acoustic live show is painfully dull.

"Avoid at all costs."

Well, considering it gives you that feeling that screams "emasculation", if you were to even ponder going, I'd say tell me something I don't already know.
