Iowa City's Wet Hair are about to hit the road for a tour that has them paired with Tyvek for two NYC shows: Living Bread Deli (2 Knickerbocker Ave., Brooklyn) on August 4th as well as Mercury Lounge on August 5th. Tickets for the latter go on AMEX presale at noon tomorrow (7/11) with regular sale hitting on Friday. All dates are listed below.
Wet Hair, if you don't know, is the solo project from Shawn Reed who runs the Night-People label. Despite having his own outlet for releasing things, Wet Hair's new album, Spill Into Atmosphere, just came out via De Stijl Records about a month ago. If the summer isn't your season and long for cold night, long jackets and driving, '80s-style melodic basslines you'll want to check it out. The video for the album's single, "Camouflage," is streaming below.
Before the dates with Wet Hair, Tyvek will play the "anti-Pitchfork" festival known as Bitchpork, which also goes down soon in Chicago.
All Wet Hair tour dates are listed below along with a stream and video for "Camouflage."
