Tonight is the first of two NYC shows for Iceage.

Mike Scheidt of YOB, Nate Hall of US Christmas, and Kevin Hufnagel of Dysrhythmia will gather for an acoustic show at Saint Vitus tonight, followed by noise terrorism from Prurient in that same venue right afterwords.

Free Summer Thunder party at Union Pool this afternoon with Bubbles, Test House and TEEN.

The Spy Music Festival is still ongoing.

Tonight is the last-ever Soul Clap Dance-Off at Glasslands. Flyer is below. Fear not: Jonathan Toubin's party moves to Brooklyn Bowl in a couple weeks.

"The War On Drugs / Dean & Britta (with Sean Eden) / Wormburner - Mulcahy's Pub & Concert Hall, Wantagh, NY"

THIS! It's a LUNA REUNION!!!!

And it's a benefit show for a great cause. Right next to the Wantagh Train Station. Doors at 7. Wormburner plays at 8.

If War On Drugs was playing in NYC I'd be there.. If they were playing a benefit show in NYC I'd bring 3 friends. I ain't schlepping out to LonGisland for US$1M. I'm probably not alone in that sentiment,

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 3:28 PM

I know 3:28, it's so hard to get on a train? You lazy loser.

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 3:44 PM

Are the iPods playing any local shows soon? Would love to see a concert that covered all genres on the "playlist.
"

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 3:49 PM

Iceage are manufactured. do some research into it. Pitchfork marketed band.

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 3:57 PM

Hehe @ 3:49. Sounds like it would a good show!

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 4:34 PM

I think that iPods could definitely headline over 90% of these bands!

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 5:08 PM

Wow. Terrible choices. Jackfuckingshit going on today.

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 5:17 PM

Am I the only person not laughing at the iPods joke? I just don't think it's that clever and it is obviouslynot a real band!

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 5:19 PM

5:17 - Disagree and I'm one of the first to post "weak night" when it's applicable. But like it or not, music fans in most other cities would love to have to choose between Dum Dum Girls, Matthew Dear, Iceage, The Lyres, Shonen Knife and 808 State all in the same night.

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 5:22 PM

I am with you 5:19. Don't think it's super funny.

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 5:36 PM

5:19,
No one actually laughs at the Ipod joke. It is one pathetic moron who keeps posting it and his idiot comments after such as these:

1)I admit I laughed and thought it was funny

2)It is just an innocent joke, people should relax. Why get so worked up.

3)It think the joke is dumb but cute and other people seem to like it.

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 5:39 PM

3:28 god forbid you leave Williamsburg

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 5:43 PM

Machinedrum/Sepalcure!

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 5:45 PM

5:39's comment actually made me laugh.

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 5:47 PM

The iPod guy just revealed his identity in the Coachella ship post below, BTW. Not as interesting as when the Jeremy Lin guy was outed as Marc Maron.

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 5:48 PM

I'm 3:28

3:44 - kiss my ass you loser douche. I'll go to whatever shows I please, and I'll give to whatever charities I please. I GUARANTEE you that I gave more money to charity last year than you did, probably more than you took home. So you can pucker up an kiss my redeye as I fart out a little dinkleberry onto your wanting tongue

5:43 - I don't live in Williamsburg, you fuckwad. Best for you to stay in Ohio though - you can maintain your delusion of "coolness" there, without showing your face in NYC and getting laughed at until you cry like a baby that got slapped by papa for being a fuckin wiseguy.

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 7:11 PM

Arturo O'Farrill & Arturo Sandoval @ Prospect Park totally won the night. Shit was off the hook! Oh wait, hipsters don't get jazz ... no ukeleles, no laptops, no quirky zany singers .... too b-l-a-c-k. You folks wouldn't have liked it.

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 11:03 PM

7:11, when was the last time you were out of your basement?

Posted by Anonymous | July 21, 2012 11:57 PM

7:11 / 3:28

How are you going to bring 3 friends to a War On Drugs benefit show? There's no way in hell you have any friends with that kind of shitty moronic attitude.

Who gives a fuck about your charity work; sorry your parents did such a horrible way of raising you.

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 12:13 AM

Luna was fucking awesome tonight.

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 1:58 AM

How many Luna songs?

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 2:33 AM

3:49 ha, lmfao

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 2:40 AM

Holy shit, Jaojoby played Le Poisson Rouge?! That band can be a heart attack. When's the last time he/they came to the U.S.?

Posted by J | July 22, 2012 3:04 AM

LOL @ 11:03 saying jazz is too black

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 10:47 AM

omg that iceage boy is so jordan catalano!

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 12:07 PM

10:47 doesn't understand sarcasm

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 12:30 PM

LULZ @ the guy with no friends in his mom's basement projecting his shame onto someone he doesn't even know. Hilarious, truly. For when the time comes, remember that Tide removes Cheetos stains.

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 12:45 PM

Laurel Halo / Pete Swanson / Noveller / Burning Star Cove all ruled.

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 1:27 PM

I laughed at 3:49.

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 1:58 PM

I hate to admit it but I laughed at 3:32

Posted by Anonymous | July 22, 2012 4:13 PM

@2:33 Don't remember exactly. It was all a blur. They played a bunch, and Galaxie 500 too.
