Alan Bishop

Alan Bishop (Sun City Girls) will play solo in NYC in just a few short weeks, bringing his Alvarius B alias to Union Pool on September 4. Support will come from Marcia Bassett and Samara Lubelski, and tickets are on sale. The show goes down just a couple days before he is set to bless the Hopscotch Festival in North Carolina.

In related news, Sir Richard Bishop (also of Sun City Girls) has returned to the studio with Ben Chasny (Six Organs of Admittance) and Chris Corsano as Rangda. The band played NYC earlier this year and has a second LP prepping for take-off, Formerly Extinct, due via Drag City on September 18. Stream "Rajnun" from it below.

Sounds good. Hope the metal head morons can comprehend something like Alan Bishop.
Or hopefully they will be busy with their Camero for the weekend.

SSG need to tour. Who wants to see Charlie Watts solo when you can actually see the Stones?

You'll die waiting for the reunion of the Sun City Girls. It will never happen without their drummer, Charlie Gocher!
