Anasazi at Public Assembly (more by Tamara Porras)

Gothic post-punk crew Dream Affair will lead off a four-band bill tonight (8/1) at Public Assembly, joined by NYC favorites Anasazi, gothic-"gypsy rock" from Religious to Damn and Nao Katafuchi. Tickets are available at the door.
The show doubles as both a welcome and farewell party, with Anasazi celebrating the release of their new 7 inch I Saw The Witch Cry (out now via Sacred Bones) and Religious to Damn waving goodbye to their namesake to pursue a different direction:
Hi everyone! Big news. We feel that significant changes to our lineup as well as a more full-fledged electronic approach to the music has basically made us a different band, so we've decided to treat it as such. We're putting the finishing touches on the new webpages, photos, and tracks, so stay tuned: we'll announce the new name and direct you all to our new pages very, very, very soon.
Stream one song from that new Anasazi 7" alongside material from all bands below.
In semi-related news, the next few WIERD parties at Home Sweet Home will be notable ones, with tonight (8/1) featuring Believer/Law and next week (8/8) featuring an appearance from Future Blondes. The WIERD parties jump off late, so a stop by Home Sweet Home after Public Assembly is entirely possible.
Check out some streams below.

'g*psy is a racial SLUR, and Anasazi is the non-accepted name (by native americans) of the ancient pueblo people, so basically you're messing up twice here, pretty badly...
