CMJ has been a joke for years.

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 7:47 PM

The "C" in CMJ stands for "Clusterfuck".

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 7:50 PM

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 8:12 PM

actually, this is one of the better lineups theyve had in the last 5-6 years. and i havent enjoyed cmj since 1998.

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 8:43 PM

CMJ is the Fred Armisen of music fests

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 9:23 PM

CMJ '98 '99 '00 were awesome, way before generation ohio stupids showed up in our city.

Posted by ME | August 21, 2012 9:38 PM

GZA
Phil Collins

Yesss

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 9:41 PM

9:38 - son, you were quite a bit late to the party there by 1998-2000 so I might hold off on the "generation ohio" and "our city" nonsense. You just got here a few years earlier than the gentrified asshole hipsters, in my sight you are really no better.

Am I the only one suffering with anal leakage?
Can we please talk for a bit about anal leakage?
Thank you.

Cmj after parties > cmj itself.

It's too bad Lakeside flooded.

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 9:57 PM

right but pretty soon they'll have touring bands that are already scheduled for that time period "added" to make the schedule look relevant. Plus, isn't this the one where P fork does a show to blow CMJ out of the water?

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 9:59 PM

None of you have heard of these bands.

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 10:00 PM

It's nice that the Walkmen are playing this, but isn't that a bit out-dated? I'd rather see the iPods.

Due to the simple fact that they bring diversity from track to track.

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 11:12 PM

CMJ is really kewl

Posted by Anonymous | August 21, 2012 11:15 PM

I'm not gonna be able to get into this. I couldn't get into my own funeral if I wanted to. Because I'd show up drunk.

I haven't heard of most of these bands, I must soon quit the scene.

Anberlin had a terrible cover of a song (by 3rd eye blind or depeche mode, i forget) on some cd called 'punk goes 90's' or something, i remember hearing it in college.

There's a lot of really good artists going to this. I wish this was in my city. I guess I'll just have to move to nyc. It seems nyc always has the best musician festivals.
