2 of my most anticipated of the year

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 12:11 PM

^ Same, never mind the plethora of cool shows during the month, October will rule just on these 2 releases alone.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 12:17 PM

1) not fair that coalesce only plays one show
2) who is singing on this?

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 12:31 PM

Converge is ok ,, They are overrated a bit hyped up by latecomers ..

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 12:44 PM

This song is good!

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 12:55 PM

Moar pre-Jane Doe Converge please. JUNGLE CAT SAY ROAR

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 12:57 PM

don't like converge but i am excited for neurosis!

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 1:10 PM

This song is awesome. I'm no latecomer to Converge, and even I think they're one of the rare bands who get better with every release. The pre-Jane Doe stuff is okay, but they're miles ahead of that.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 2:32 PM

In order:

1) Jane Doe
2) No Heroes
3) Axe to Fall
4) You Fail Me
5) Pre-Jane Doe material

P.S. anything that would fall in #6 would still classify as very good.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 3:37 PM

fuck all of you nut-suckin' haters. fuck my ass.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 4:48 PM

3:37 - you're are misinformed, and obviously never listened to petitioning the empty sky, which is a shame.

this song is terrible.
however, kurts production keeps getting better and better.

jake singing does not work.
however the badcat guitar tone is fucking great.

negatives with positives. thats what this is for.

bring on the "THIS BAND SUX AND SAUSAGE HUMMUS" comments.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 5:10 PM

3:37- When Forever Comes Crashing and Petition are both far better than anything from 2 on. But to each their own.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 5:26 PM

Jane Doe was classic. I think Jake's singing is good in this song.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 5:30 PM

You Fail Me below Axe To Fall? I'm not insulting that choice, just curious about it.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 6:36 PM

Scarves must have taken the day off today(?) Anyway, the first 11 minutes of No Heroes should have been its own EP - that would have been far and away the best thing they did.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2012 8:07 PM

1) Jane Doe
2) You Fail Me
3) No Heroes
4) Axe to Fall
5) Pre-Jane Doe material

Wow! These song titles sound like some bad 80's hair metal garbage like L.A. Guns or Testament.

The intelligent hardcore bands were on Dischord records and then shortly later there was the meathead metal hardcore bands misinterpreting everything.

Posted by Anonymous | August 29, 2012 1:02 AM

Testament was not hair metal.

Posted by Anonymous | August 29, 2012 2:49 AM

1:02 - you should have gone to bed earlier - the lateness of your post must have made you confused. Which intelligent hardcore bands are you speaking of?

Posted by Anonymous | August 29, 2012 9:33 AM

5:10: Easy there. Not misinformed at all (how you could possibly know for sure that I haven't listened to petitioning the empty sky anyway? nice assumption there), and saying that someone is misinformed indicates an insecurity in handling a different opinion. I just don't like the pre-JD stuff QUITE as much.

5:26: To each their own, indeed.

6:36: YFM was more spotty in areas to my ears than even ATF. Then again, hearing YFM right after JD left me relatively quite underwhelmed, to take that as it is.

8:54: lol nice switcheroo

you would think all this dick bumping would be going on AT the Converge show, way to class it up VB posters.

Posted by Anonymous | August 29, 2012 11:21 AM

^ VB? What place do you get your dick bumping at?

Posted by Anonymous | August 29, 2012 12:20 PM

Converge has improved with age! Since their sliming from 2 guitars to just Kurt they have relied more on songwriting imo.

Neurosis - CULT

I feel like an old sausage these bands have been around for so long but i will continue to support them and their beards.

A beard

That cover is truly artistic, it reminds me of Warhol's creations. Converge has always been a band that can show more. I wonder when their acme is going to be and how it's going to be like.

I just love this. I can't get enough.
