Kvelertak

Rumor no more. Converge has confirmed that they'll hit the road with Torche and Kvelertak  for a string of US dates surrounding their Fun Fun Fun Fest appearance, including the previously-reported stop at Highline Ballroom on November 11. Whips/Chains will join the trio and tickets, which were previously set to go on sale on 8/15, will now be available Friday (8/24) at noon.

All tour dates are below. Converge's next show will go down Labor Day Weekend at FYF in Los Angeles, where they'll play the fest with a host of notables including Quicksand (who play two sold-out NYC shows this week).

Hi, I'm a trendy hipster who is not overly fond of these bands or this type of music in general. I find I enjoy more stuff towards the lighter side; more electronic/folky/alternatative/whathaveyou, etc... Although I understand that other people like this here stuff. I dunno, it's just not my thing. Have a good day, everyone.

Torche>Converge

"Torche < Converge"

I agree.

"Torche < Converge"

Duh.

Kvelertak puts on a helluva show too.

12:50- I want to be an asshole, but, damn it, you're so damn friendly I can't get my heart into it.

Theres other "heavy" music as the retarded metal heads say rather than the one dimensional bar chord metal. This constant trend of indie doom metal is so predictable.

Would rather listen to Incapacitants or Sun City Girls.

^ yes, Converge is so indie doom metal. You make a lot of sense there. Obviously you are fully aware of what you're talking about. I'm sure that you would "rather listen to Incapacitants", but I'd guess you've never heard them either.

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2012 2:36 PM

2:36- a rather surgically-precise response. Well done.

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2012 2:40 PM

No 2:36 PM I own Incapacitants records.

Maybe not Converge, but the other two bands fit into the metal carbon copy.

Clearly, all metal sounds the same. Torche is exactly the same as Converge and they're both exactly the same as Metallica, right? When I'm right, I'm so right.
If you don't like metal what the hell are you doing lurking under the 'METAL' section?

I think he just wanted to tell us all that he likes to listen to Incapacitants. Most true noise fans also understand loud music and the differences between sub-genres, but I guess he's bucking that trend.

it's all blah

Posted by Anonymous | August 24, 2012 11:58 AM

When I first heard Converge I was like on my god this is way to heavy for me. In time though it grows on you.
