Dirty Projectors frontman David Longstreth wrote and directed a short film, Hi Custodian, which stars members of his band and was executive produced by Pitchfork.tv and will make its theatrical premiere in NYC on September 6 at Landmark Sunshine Cinema. The film will screen for free at 8 PM and then again at 10 PM, with both screenings being followed by a Q&A with David Longstreth, other Dirty Projectors members, and director of photography Bobby Bukowski. Admission is free for the screenings but RSVP is required, and seating is first come, first served. The film will then premiere online at Pitchfork.tv the day after the theatrical premiere (9/7).

Meanwhile, the Dirty Projectors will be in Philly this weekend for Made In America Fest and will return to the NYC area for a show at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on September 25. Tickets for the Cap show are still available.

The Hi Custodian trailer and the flier for the screening are below.
