Chief Keef
Chief Keef

Young Chicago rapper Chief Keef has been blowing up, and though he's gotten love from some veteran rappers like Kanye, Pusha T, and Jadakiss, others, specifically Lupe Fiasco "don't like" him. In a video posted to FakeShoreDrive (via HipHopDX), Lupe said:

Chief Keef scares me. Not him specifically, but just the culture that he represents. Specifically in Chicago. And I don't speak this about any other city because I'm not from there. But like my family lives in Chicago. So my nephews, my cousins, my friends, and my peoples they all in those hoods that he represents. When you drive through Chicago...The hoodlums, the gangsters, and the ones you see killing each other. And the murder rate in Chicago is skyrocketing and you see who's doing it and perpetrating it, they all look like Chief Keef.
You can watch the video interview with Lupe below.

In related news, Chief Keef recently dropped the track "Appreciation" off of his upcoming mixtape, Finally Rich. You can stream the track below.

Not everyone can be an "Italian glam rocker"

When you listen to Chief Keef, you begin to realize that all his tracks have the same basic formula and that he honestly has very limited skills as a MC.

God bless America!
Artists like Cheif Keef who once spent days slinging bundles in Chicago now got record deals and sip Asti-Spumanti.

Posted by Anonymous | August 29, 2012 6:00 PM

sipping "asti-spumanti"? he needs a raise then. that's not a lot better than sipping Boone's Farm.

Even black people are afraid of black people now.

Posted by Anonymous | August 29, 2012 7:08 PM

I kinda want to be afraid of a gangster rapper. Kinda the point right?

I'm so sick of the word MIXTAPE. Enough already.

Y'know what band scares me? The iPods! They bring so much diversity from track to track, I hardly know what to expect!

Posted by Anonymous | August 29, 2012 11:18 PM

Obama scares me. And not because of race. Because he wants my money. BAD

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2012 1:38 AM

Lupe just gave Chief Keef millions because of the publicity.

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2012 7:13 AM

Lupe is a racist.

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2012 7:28 AM

But, if we didn't have guys like this, how would we know where bitches be at, and how much skrilla is being made from the game? Shit is real out there and they gotta tell somebody about it.

Posted by whiteguy | August 30, 2012 8:10 AM

I predict some major black-on-black Twitter violence

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2012 10:45 AM

It's completely unsurprising that someone as boring as Lupe Fiasco would be horrified by Chief Keef

Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2012 2:05 PM

Just a thought... His lyric saying "I got bitches on my dick and niggaz wanna hate" in that tune might be referencing that lupe man?

But whatever the case is, they both suck. Give me some mobb deep up in here y'all!

Chief Keef is soooooo bad its unbelievable. The fact that any major label wants to sign him is unreal to me. I think Yeezy and Birdamn just wana use him for his popularity. There is noooo way we aretalking about Chief Keef's dumbass in a year.

I have been trying to tell people this for the longest all of his tracks sounds the same. Where are the bars it is just like every song is an extended hook. Get your skills up and read a book knucklehead.

Posted by jabz | November 21, 2012 8:25 PM

Lol, after I watched the interview I was like eh, ok. That makes sense, you know why Lupe is scared and all. But then I realized, Chief is the same nigga that cried when he got sentenced to 90 days in JUVY ! That's only three months!

Posted by LyricDoe | March 8, 2013 3:08 PM

Chief Keef is garbage! His music sucks!

Lupe Fiasco should be scared of this WACK CRAPPER and other wack CRappers of this generation. They are destroying Hip Hop music.

Real rappers are Lupe Fiasco, BOB, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Common and Eminem.

Chief Keef, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj etc are not real Rap music. It is just water downed auto tuned Pop music with a catchy beat.

We need to save Hip Hop from these wack CRappers!
