Ringo Deathstarr at Frontier Bar in Austin, 8/18/2012 (more by Tim Griffin)
Ringo Deathstarr

Austin shoegaze trio Ringo Deathstarr's new album, Mauve, will be out September via Club AC30/Sonic Unyon. The band are soon to head off to South America and Japan, but will be back next month for a lengthy North American tour, including two stops in NYC: October 21 at Shea Stadium and October 22 at Cake Shop. CMJ is right before those shows so maybe they'll add something on 10/20 as well? All tour dates are listed below.

The band just played a hometown tour kickoff show and you can see more pics from that here. All Ringo Deathstarr North American tour dates are listed below along with a stream of Mauve's first single, "Rip."

Ring Deadstarr rules not just because their music reminds us of space but also because they are named after Star Wars. They feel to me like a mix of dance and punk.
