Sebadoh at Bowery Ballroom - 8/22/12
Sebadoh

Sebadoh wrapped up their tour in NYC last night (8/22) at Bowery Ballroom. Support came from Sentridoh (Lou Barlow solo) and Circle of Buzzards, a band featuring the other 2/3 of Sebadoh, Jason Loewenstein and Bob D'Amico. Sebadoh's set included a ton of their classic songs as well as a few off of their new EP. Pictures from the show are in this post.

Meanwhile, Lou's other band Dinosaur Jr. have a new album and tour on the way too. No NYC dates announced for them at the moment, but you can check out the video for the new single, "Watch the Corners," along with more pics of the Sebadoh show below.

Sebadoh can suck it, but last night rocked.

THE IPODS—WHITE POWER 4EVA

Hopefully there was AC on, so there'd be an excuse for all the scarves to come out (double-entendre FTW!).

the sanitary (i)pads fan really must be nearing the end of their battle with mental illness.

if they weren't sucha loser, it would be sorta tragic.

and why does BV let racist comments (2:14pm) stand?

Lou Barlow is so cool

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 2:41 PM

Did I imagine this, or did Lou say they were playing The Freed Pig after the last song they played, and then they just didn't?

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 3:38 PM

the bass was unusable by the end of the set. first the tuning peg on the G string came out, then the string broke completely. they didn't have another bass because there were no opening bands :(

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 3:51 PM

Well, I guess it's a good thing it didn't break after the first song, or else it would have been a four minute show.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:17 PM

3:51 wasn't there. It was the chord between the bass amp and bass head. The bass was fine.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:23 PM

Lou Barlow was so rockin

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:24 PM

4:23 wasn't there- i saw what 3:51 saw

Posted by anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:32 PM

4:23... I was there. Apparently you weren't. Yes, the chord to the bass amp was giving them trouble halfway through the set, but that was resolved. Then the tuning peg came out, and then the string broke. I have photos to prove it.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:32 PM

4:23 just screamed "I hate you all!" all glassy-eyed and red-faced, then ran home and jumped into bed.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:48 PM

2:35 was NOT there. Lou's vocals were low, and Jason's guitar amp died halfway through the set. That's why Bob Fay had to come out and finish the set for Jason.

Great show!

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:49 PM

I wasn't at the show.

Posted by 4:23 | August 23, 2012 4:50 PM

3:19 was NOT at the show. I don't know why your mother lets you use the computer. I would think parental controls would be adjusted accordingly.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:52 PM

I'M SO JEALOUS I DIDN'T GO. FUCK.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:52 PM

Lou Barlow owned the audience during his solo set.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:53 PM

Who cares about this crappy band? Quicksand is back!

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:54 PM

nothing like 2 trolls arguing about a stupid show no one went to.

Posted by Marc | August 23, 2012 4:55 PM

Lou Barlow does not live in Nashville.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 4:59 PM

Lou moved to Nashville in 2009, troll.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 5:00 PM

Lou is cute.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 5:06 PM

J Mascis is cuter.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 5:09 PM

5:00 wasn't there-Lou talked about taking his daughter to school in LA

Posted by anonymous | August 23, 2012 5:14 PM

5:14 wasn't there.

Posted by Lou | August 23, 2012 5:17 PM

I was there! I have photos and everyone in the room knows Sebadoh is from LA.

Posted by 5:14 | August 23, 2012 5:18 PM

Keep trolling bro...

I was there and Sebadoh KILLED!

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 5:19 PM

5:18 Lou lives in LA; the other 2 live in Brooklyn. Lou said so, therefore you weren't there.

Posted by anonymous | August 23, 2012 5:24 PM

"There are Pavement songs. There are Guided by Voices songs. But there are no Sebadoh songs."

Was I there?

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 5:27 PM

^ HAHAHAHAHAHA YOU WERE!!!

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2012 5:27 PM

I'm the guy that gave Lou his guitar pick back! I wanted to keep it, but that pick was special...

great show

Shouldn't the children playing cred wars stick to the Brooklyn cocaine horseshit they understand rather than arguing about Grampa Stoners who can actually write songs?

Posted by Anonymous | August 24, 2012 12:19 PM

good stuff right here. Great music.
